"The great goy Bruce Lee is a genius against the system." Why is Bruce Lee great? Martial artist
Bruce Lee
Bruce Lee
Master of martial arts, American and Hong Kong film actor, director, producer, screenwriter, philosopher.Born on November 27, 1940, in the family of Chinese opera actor Lee Hoi Chen and half-Chinese, half-German Grace Lee.Strictly speaking, he is Li Jan Fan (translated from Chinese as “come back”: the child was born in San Francisco, and the mother wanted her son to return to America again). When the boy grew up, he was given the name Li Yen Kam ( "never sitting still"): after the first filming, the name Li Sui Lung ("little dragon") appeared. And on the birth certificate issued at the Chinese hospital in San Francisco, the name Bruce Lee was written. Not everyone believed that Bruce Lee was actually a boy. The evil spirits knew for sure that Grace had given birth to a girl: the mother and father spent a lot of effort trying to confuse them, and even gave the child the girlish nickname Baby Phoenix. Their first son died, and they decided that they had somehow angered the gods; in China they believe that the second child in a family should be a girl, and Grace and Lee adopted a poor man’s daughter. Then their son Peter was born, then Grace became pregnant again and was restless with worry: according to Chinese beliefs, the second son is also in danger. The newborn Bruce Lee had his ears pierced and was called by his maiden name - it seemed that the evil spirits had been deceived.Bruce Lee grew up and haunted the entire block: there was no other Skoda like it in Hong Kong. Bruce Lee rushed around the city, made friends with anyone, stole apples from street vendors' stalls and did not listen to his parents - a great sin for the Chinese who respect old age. However, Bruce Lee's father was also not distinguished by family virtues. He was a good actor and a great guy, his friends and women loved him, and he doted on them - Lee Hoi Chen spent money on anything, just not on children. By Hong Kong standards, Lee was a wealthy man (he owned several apartments that he rented out), but the way the family lived would have horrified an unemployed Chicagoan. A large table where they ate, played and read; a single room in which Lee, Grace, their children, grandparents, several servants and a huge German shepherd slept; a fan under the ceiling, sadly moving hot air... Water was supplied to the house once a week for several hours, and it was filled into all the bowls. The Lee family took a cat-style shower, smearing water over their faces, snorting and splashing - they didn’t know what a bath was in the house, and the forty-degree heat in Hong Kong was par for the course... But everyone who lived under this roof was holy We are convinced that such comfort can only be found in the governor’s palace: most of the Chinese huddled in cramped, miserable shacks. The children grew up, and they had to be taught - Bruce Lee and his brothers were sent to a Jesuit college. The Jesuits had been engaged in missionary work in China for several centuries and knew more about the aborigines than anyone else, but even they could not cope with Bruce Lee.Small, thin, nimble, Bruce Lee could not sit still, did not want to rack his brains over arithmetic and English grammar, and experienced great pleasure only when he managed to bloody someone’s nose. Bruce Lee's former class mentor, brother Henry, remembering him many years later, assured that he was an unusual child- alive, receptive, intelligent. He had to be treated very gently, to occupy his imagination all the time - then he behaved like a good boy... Apparently, Brother Henry rarely succeeded in this: several years passed, and Bruce Lee was kicked out of the Jesuit school.Bruce Lee had a huge desire for self-affirmation; street fights elevated him in his own eyes. He was frail, evasive and absolutely fearless: a reason for a fight could even be the fact that the boy he met looked at him the wrong way, sighed the wrong way, spat in the wrong place, or didn’t apologize respectfully enough. Bruce Lee did not pay attention to the height and weight of his enemies, and they beat him twice a day. Li Hoi Chen, of course, was not an exemplary father, but the bruises on his son’s face and his constantly torn clothes got on his nerves. The wailing Grace washed the abrasions and darned the torn shirt, and Lee lectured Bruce Lee every evening: in the end, he was immensely tired of it. Lee Hoi Chen did not give money to the children out of principle, but when Bruce Lee asked to pay for his kung fu lessons, he unexpectedly agreed to himself - he had at least a faint hope that this disgrace would someday end.Bruce Lee chose tough and aggressive Wing Chun - according to legend, the creator of the style was a nun who lived in the 15th century. (She invented it when she watched a fight between a snake and a crane.) The nun taught it to the girl Yum Wing Chun, who taught it to her future husband, he also had students... So the turn came to Yip Men, a former police inspector in the city of Nam Hoe, fled to Hong Kong from the troops of Mao Tse-tung. In Hong Kong, Ip Man opened his own school and made a living by turning street thugs like Bruce Lee into real fighters.Running for five kilometers and hundreds of push-ups, endless blows on a sandbag, acrobatics, full-contact fighting, when the enemy’s fist hits your unprotected ribs with all his strength... Training at Ip Man’s school shackled his body in impenetrable muscle armor , taught almost perfect fighting techniques. Bruce tried it on his classmates, and the results were more than satisfactory.Soon his parents sent him to another school - where it turned out that classes with Ip Man were beneficial for the child. He, of course, did not become an excellent student, but the senseless mischief that plagued the Jesuit fathers greatly diminished. Young Li no longer had the strength to play pranks: after practicing Wing Chun, every bone ached - ease came only in the fifth year. But now Bruce Lee has calmed down. He became the king of the school - he was always accompanied by a respectful retinue on the street. Having dealt with his classmates, Bruce Lee took on the English boys: they constantly fought with the little Chinese and, as a rule, beat them in vain. The British were much larger, and they taught boxing in their schools, but knees to the chin, foreheads to the nose and elbows to the ear turned out to be a crushing surprise for them. One after another, the rulers of the seas went into a deep knockdown, and with each black eye and bloody nose, the authority of Bruce Lee grew: in Hong Kong they well remembered the “Opium War”, the plunder of Beijing and the inscriptions “Dogs and Chinese are prohibited”, which had recently disappeared from the central parts of the city.Life smiled on Bruce Lee, and by the age of eighteen he felt almost happy. When he was very young, his father taught him to dance, and now he has won the Hong Kong Cha-Cha Championship and played several child roles in action films. Nobody argued with him on the street. In his free time from fighting and training, Bruce Lee took dance lessons. Now he looked like a dandy - carefully licked and greased hair, an immaculately ironed black suit (he ironed it himself, not trusting his mother), a narrow tie with an even knot. Either a student at a missionary school or a dancer from a variety show, he is an ideal target for a street hooligan looking to have fun.On the streets of Hong Kong, mama's boys were treated unkindly. It was nice to spit on a patent leather shoe, and it was nice to tug on a tie. But after this, the impudent person received a sau-do - Bruce Lee’s favorite blow, when the edge of the palm, hardened by many hours of training, falls on the attacker’s throat. One fine day, he treated it to three members of the Hong Kong Triad, two of whom were hospitalized. The oldest of the Asian criminal communities, the "Triad" existed for hundreds of years: having emerged as a fight against the Manchu conquerors secret society, over time it switched to drug trafficking. Those who joined it were bound by mutual responsibility: the society demanded absolute loyalty from its people, and in return provided them with protection. If people from the “Triad” began to be beaten on the streets with impunity, the power and prestige of the clan would not be worth a penny. Bruce Lee now had to die - quickly and as painfully as possible. He, who was born in San Francisco, was saved by the fact that he was considered a US citizen - his mother packed his things in one evening, bought a ticket on the ship and sent Bruce to America to live with friends. Grace Lee, frightened to death, did not even suspect that she was sending her son towards wealth and fame.Seventy years ago the first batch of Chinese were brought to the United States. America was rapidly being covered by a network of railways; their construction required cheap labor - poor, hardworking and unresponsive Asians were the best suited for this. The best argument in dialogue with them was considered to be a right-wing hook: poor peasants from remote Chinese villages, who had never studied martial arts, endured such treatment with Confucian long-suffering. Time passed, morals softened, but the lot of American Chinese remained laundries and cheap restaurants - Bruce Lee got a job in one of them.Bruce Lee soon became a movie star. This happened, in general, by accident: television producer William Dozier was looking for an actor for a role in a new series, and a man who studied with Bruce happened to be nearby - and the role went to him. Then he was given a new role and then passed over for an American actor. Bruce Lee was worried - it seemed to him that his film career was not working out, but when he arrived in Hong Kong, his fellow countrymen were ready to carry him in their arms. It turned out that he was wildly popular at home - in hometown Li Jan Fan returned in the aura of an American movie star and at the same time a warrior who defeated the “white devils.”
Holmes' deductive analysis of Bruce Lee's life documentary film: "The Curse of the Dragon". BRUCE. The true story behind the man and the legend" . "Curse of the dragon. Bruce. The real story behind the man and the legend."
Yes, again we have to work only according to the documents that the Euroonal (Ruling Alien System) allows us.
The film, unfortunately, is also from the Jewish Alien film studio Warner Bros. Warner Bros.
The film consists of interviews with people who knew Bruce Lee and excerpts from his films. All interviewees can be divided into three groups:
1). Relatives.
2). Friends are mostly goyim: Chinese, Asians, Europeans, African-Americans - these are all comrades in martial arts.
3). Jewish producers giving the desired interpretation.
Bruce Lee was killed for propaganda healthy image life, the fight against drugs, mafia, injustice and evil. Someone didn’t like the way they were beaten in films, so they killed him. Compare Bruce Lee's films to The Godfather. No one is surprised by this fact that in the West not a single film has been made that condemns and humiliates crime and crime. All the films are presented as a fight between one guy and another, and each side is not much better than the other. Those. the crimes committed are a type of violation of order, and for this the criminals must be punished, but the fact that crimes are evil in its pure form is not emphasized, but on the contrary is obscured.
And it’s not for nothing that there is such a saying:
FROM THE EAST COMES THE LIGHT (SUN),
AND FROM THE WEST DARKNESS COMES.
Monument to Bruce Lee in Hong Kong.
Stoleshnikov: Bruce Lee - Genius against the Evil System!
Much has been written about the biography and career of Bruce Lee, and even more about his films. But what is the uniqueness and greatness of this man? We tried to find the components of Bruce Lee's success that made him a legend of the 20th century.
1. Martial artist
Is it worth talking about the skill of Bruce Lee, born Li Xiaolong? Perhaps it's worth it. After all, according to confirmed data, Bruce Lee has never participated in official competitions, which gives someone reason to doubt. An unofficial list of fights was presented on foreign forums. But a master is determined not only by official fights and fights at tournaments of various levels.
Here are just a few facts that indicate that Bruce Lee reached great heights in martial arts. In addition to doing one-arm, two-finger push-ups, Bruce also did incredible things with hardware. One day he took a 37 kg weight in each hand and spread them apart. He stood in this position for 20 seconds. It is worth emphasizing that his weight at that time was 70 kg.
Fantastic mastery of nunchucks
And its “inch blow” became the subject of special attention of scientists. Lee approached his opponent almost closely and with two fingers, without any swing, simply knocked him down. So scientists explained it by the structural features of the brain. Neural connections that allow you to perfectly coordinate the movements of your body and hand. Some sources say that Bruce Lee's reaction speed and coordination of movements was so perfect that he could catch grains of rice with chopsticks.
Bruce Lee demonstrates the "Inch Punch"
And finally, Bruce Lee not only knew how to control his body. He understood the principles and philosophy of martial arts. Here is a quote from an essay he wrote as a student: "Kung Fu - specific art, not just physical exercise. It is the subtle art of expressing brain activity through the performance of a specific technique. The essence of kung fu is not a subject that can be studied like a science by obtaining facts and analyzing them. No, the understanding of this principle occurs spontaneously, like an insight that arises in the brain, freed from any emotions and desires. The essence of this principle of kukg fu is Tao - the spontaneity of all phenomena occurring in the Universe."
2. Outstanding Actor
Bruce Lee in movies from the cradle! Bruce got into cinema at the age of 3 months: he got the role of a baby in the film “Golden Gate Girl”. By the way, he played a girl there... The second time he appeared on screen at the age of 6 years. He starred in his second film, “The Origin of Humankind,” which was released in Hong Kong.
But the heyday acting career Bruce Lee originated in America. He moved there from Hong Kong in 1959. There he opens his own kung fu classrooms (the first opened in 1963). And Bruce Lee began acting in films in 1965 - then he met producer William Dozier. Mostly in the first years of his great acting career, Bruce Lee starred in TV series. From 1967 to 1971, Bruce Lee starred in a huge number of films in which he played both leading and minor roles. During this time he becomes an American star. This is reflected in the cost of training with him personally (up to $300 per hour) and in institutions (up to $800 per month).
The film “Big Boss” can be considered a turning point. It was released in 1971 and brought in $3.5 million in 20 days of release. It was a huge success, Bruce becomes a global star. Further more. A year later, the film “Fist of Fury” was released, which brought in 4 million during the same time.
Lee's directorial and producing debut is the film "Way of the Dragon." To film the film, he invites famous karate champions Bob Wall and Chuck Norris to Italy. It is noteworthy that the final scene was filmed in the Roman Colosseum. When preparing the battle scenes, Bruce Lee showed scrupulousness - the instructions amounted to 5 volumes. Afterwards, the same figure appeared in the “film box office box office” column.
Bruce Lee had many pictures in his plans - studios literally bombarded him with offers. But everything was crossed out by death in 1973...
In the fall of 1978 appears on screens last film Bruce Lee's Game of Death. Only 28 minutes of this film is taken up by material featuring Bruce himself. During its release, the film grossed $300 million...
"Game of Death" was released 5 years after Bruce Lee's death
As an actor, Bruce Lee did an extremely important thing - he began to popularize martial arts in American cinema. Of course, before him there were martial artists who combined martial arts and cinema. But only Bruce Lee was able to attract so many viewers to the screens.
3. A self-made man!
This is perhaps the main component in the recipe of a legend. No one has ever seen Bruce Lee stop and not train. He was always moving, finding even the slightest strain for his muscles, even while reading books. He always had weights on his legs and arms, so he was training every second. You might think that such a person had absolutely no time for literature, but no. In the morning, after jogging, flexibility exercises and breakfast, he always devoted time to family or self-development - training his soul and mind.
The main thing that distinguished Bruce Lee was discipline. The combination of Chinese and German blood (his mother was half-German) had a striking effect. Lee never missed a single workout.
Perhaps there was no more purposeful person than Bruce Lee. In 1969, he made the following prediction for himself: “I, Bruce Lee, will become the highest paid superstar from the East in the United States. I will give the most impressive performances and play the best roles as an actor. In 1970, world fame will come to me, and from this "I will have 10 million dollars in my account by the end of 1980. I will live the way I want and find inner harmony and happiness."

Bruce Lee lay overturned on the sofa cushions, and a desperately wailing woman shook him, hit him on the cheeks, and rubbed his temples with ammonia. He was sleeping, but she could not wake him. Bruce Lee prologue
More than a hundred years ago, Great Britain took the Kowloon Peninsula from the Chinese Empire. That war was called “opium”; it was short, brutal and absolutely hopeless for the Chinese armed with crossbows and axes. A city arose on the peninsula Hong Kong- the center built up with snow-white European mansions and the native outskirts reeking of stale fish and spicy local cuisine.
In 1942, the Japanese captured Hong Kong and carried out a massive massacre, then the British returned their colony; after Mao was defeated in China, refugees poured into the city...
Bruce Lee was born on November 27, 1940 in San Francisco in the Year of the Dragon and the Hour of the Dragon according to Chinese calendar(between 6 and 8 am) during a tour of his parents in America - Cantonese Chinese opera actor-comedian Lee Hoi Chen and his wife Grace Lee. Grace Lee's mother had Eurasian roots (she was half German), her father was Chinese.
When the boy grew up, he was given a name Lee Yen Kam – “never sitting still”; after the first filming the name appeared Lee Sui Lung - “little dragon”. And in the birth certificate issued at the Chinese hospital in San Francisco, the name was Bruce Lee.
The most interesting thing is that for a long time everyone around him considered Bruce Lee to be a girl and called him Baby Phoenix!
Why this happened, we must go deep into the history of the Bruce Lee family. P the first son died, and they decided that they had somehow angered the gods; in China they believe that the second child in a family should be a girl, and Grace and Lee adopted a poor man’s daughter. Then their son Peter was born, then Grace became pregnant again and was restless with worry: according to Chinese beliefs, the second son is also in danger.
Newborn Bruce had his ears pierced and was given his maiden name.- it seemed that the evil spirits were deceived and the evil spirits knew for sure that Grace had given birth to a girl: the mother and father spent a lot of effort trying to confuse them, and They even gave the child a girlish nickname, Baby Phoenix.
Bruce Lee's childhood
Hong Kong where Bruce Lee lived. The Hong Kong in which Bruce Lee spent his childhood was located at the junction between the front façade of the city and the neighborhoods of the poor. This Hong Kong is a labyrinth of alleys bustling with life. These alleys wind between peeling walls of residential buildings, crowded shops and restaurants, beckoning passers-by with flashy neon signs. They are overrun with trucks, taxis and rickshaw carts.
The local atmosphere, consisting of a complex mixture of smells of exotic dishes and equally exotic garbage (located in various stages of decay), sticky fumes and heavy stuffiness, changes little over the years. And while Hong Kong can be stimulating, it can also be draining. In Hong Kong you can find everything except peace and quiet.
The boy grew up and haunted the whole block: there has never been a second bully like this in Hong Kong. He rushed around the city, made friends with anyone, climbed trees and garbage dumps, stole apples and pears from the stalls of local street vendors and did not obey his parents, and this is a great sin for the Chinese who respect old age.
Has acted in films since birth: at the age of 3 months, Bruce Lee starred in his first film - “The Golden Gate Girl” (the role of a little baby girl), V age 6 years - “The Origin of Humanity”.
There was a misconception that Bruce Lee never acted with his father, but this is not true. In childhood and adolescence, Bruce Lee was frail; he starred in films as a “difficult” child or a cocky orphan street hooligan.
About Father Bruce Lee
Bruce's father wasn't known for his family virtues either.. He was a good actor and a great guy, his friends and women loved him, and he doted on them. But Lee Hoi Chen spent money on anything but children.
“I smoke opium to sing with a softer voice,” Lee Hoi Chun often said. Hui Chun was also a keen gambler, which is why his bosom buddies enjoyed the man's company and generosity as much as his family members. He was a comic actor in Hong Kong's Cantonese Opera, which is essentially an operetta theater rather than a classical opera house (unlike the Beijing Opera). And he succeeded enough to afford to own several apartments.
By Hong Kong standards, Lee was a wealthy man ( he owned several apartments which he rented out), but the way the family lived would horrify a Russian homeless person. A large hall, with a refrigerator against the back wall, served alternately as a dining room, living room and bedroom. A large table where they ate, played and read; the only room in which Lee, Grace, their children, grandparents, several servants and a huge German Shepherd named Bobby, Bruce's favorite dog, slept under his bed; a ceiling fan, sadly moving hot air...
Water was supplied to the house once a week for several hours, and she was recruited into everything that was at hand. The Lee family took a cat shower, smearing water over his face, snorting and splashing - they didn’t know what a bath was, in the house, and forty-degree heat in Hong Kong is par for the course...
The Lee family's apartment in an old house on Nathan Road was on the 2nd floor above some shops. A narrow staircase led to a doorless front entrance where the homeless made their makeshift homes. But the second floor landing was reliably protected by a strong double door, reinforced with steel bars and equipped with a peephole.
The beds were iron and covered with hard mattresses. In addition to the dining room, the apartment consisted of two smaller rooms. One of them contained two bunk beds. Another room, overlooking Nathan Road, had an attached veranda, decorated with many potted plants and, at one time, a chicken cage.
Bruce's father sometimes took him to the opera. There the boy met Sue Ki Lun, known among his friends as “The Unicorn”. His father was also an opera artist. And although the Unicorn was three years older than Lee, friendship arose between the boys. They fought and fenced with bamboo swords. Bruce Lee played the role of Robin Hood, and although his opponent was older and stronger, Bruce never accepted defeat and fought until the Unicorn gave up. Years later, the Unicorn recalled how Bruce repeatedly got into trouble due to constant fights. Mr. Lee often taught his son a lesson by hitting him on the head as hard as he could.
In Chinese families, there is usually a gap between father and children. For a father, respect is much more important than filial love. To maintain his position in the family, the father does not make concessions to the children. Keeping your distance is the price that fathers pay for maintaining their own authority.
Bruce Lee studying
The children grew up - Bruce and his brothers were sent to a Jesuit college. The Jesuits had been engaged in missionary work in China for several centuries and knew more about the aborigines than anyone else, but even they could not cope with Bruce Lee.
Small, thin, nimble, he could not sit still, did not want to rack his brains over arithmetic and English grammar, and experienced great pleasure only when he managed to bloody someone’s nose.
Bruce's mom would pay his tuition every month, and then the school would call her, wondering why Bruce wasn't attending class. In the end, she and Bruce came to an agreement that he could skip classes (since he disliked school so much), but he should let her know, where he goes to play so that his mother can always find him. After this conversation, Bruce continued to skip classes, but always informed his mother where to look for him. Several years passed and Bruce Lee was kicked out of school.
He had a huge desire for self-affirmation, street fights elevated him in his own eyes. He was frail, evasive and absolutely fearless: a reason for a fight could even be the fact that the boy he met looked at him the wrong way, sighed the wrong way, spat in the wrong place, or didn’t apologize respectfully enough.
Bruce did not pay attention to the height and weight of his enemies, and they beat him twice a day.
Li Hoi Chen, of course, was not an exemplary father, but the bruises on his son’s face and his constantly torn clothes got on his nerves. Lee Hoi Chen did not give money to his children out of principle, but when Bruce asked to pay for his Kung Fu lessons, he unexpectedly agreed– he had at least a faint hope that this disgrace would someday end.
Mother's memories of Bruce Lee's character
“Bruce’s character did not change,” his mother later said. “He repeated the same mistakes. Over and over again I was upset with him. One day I asked him how he thought he would make a living while continuing in the same spirit. To this he replied: “One day I will become a famous film actor.” I scolded him and explained that the lives of famous artists were not at all as pleasant as they might seem from the outside, and that they did not lead a completely normal existence. I told Bruce, “You don’t even know how to behave like a human being. How can you expect to become a famous film actor?”
She told how she suddenly noticed that Bruce was peering into the distance from the window of the room. Then he jumped out into the street like lightning and ran somewhere. When she went to the window, she saw Bruce helping a blind man cross the road. He then explained that he had to help the man who looked so confused and desperate for anyone's help.
Bruce Lee wore glasses at age 6 and walked in his sleep?
Sister Agnes gave him the name “Little Dragon,” which stuck with Bruce for the rest of his life. She says that from an early age, Bruce considered himself “special” and was going to do something extraordinary with his life. She remembers his nightmares and sleepwalking.
The rest of the family knew him by his affectionate name, Mo Xi Tong, or “Never Sits Still.” This characteristic matched him exactly. If Bruce became quiet for even a moment, everyone feared that he was sick. He only stopped running, jumping and chatting when he hid in the far corner with a book and was completely immersed in reading. Sometimes he read until late at night. His mother believes that this was the reason for his early myopia. From the age of six, Bruce began wearing glasses.
Pranks Bruce Lee
Young Bruce loved pranks, and could not help but laugh, seeing how the intended victim was ready to get hooked. He started with simple pranks, like stunts with caustic powder and “electric shock,” but soon the pranks became much more elaborate.
One day he rearranged all the furniture in the room to confuse the cleaning lady.. Another time, he persuaded his brother Robert to imagine himself as a submarine and look up from the sleeve of his jacket, as if from a periscope. When his brother agreed to this game, Bruce “released an onboard torpedo” and poured a full jug of water into his sleeve.
But he didn't always get away with it. Other “jokes” were not so funny. One day he pushed his sister Phoebe into the pool. She caught him and held him with his head under water until he swore not to do that again. After this incident, Bruce did not go near the pool.
Bruce Lee - the birth of a Legend
In 1954, Bruce Lee began taking cha-cha-cha dancing lessons, and 4 years later he won the cha-cha-cha dancing championship in Hong Kong, performing main role in the film "Orphan" and participates in interschool boxing competitions (defeats Gary Elms, who held the champion title for three years). Then he decided to take Kung Fu seriously. His first kung fu teacher recalled that Bruce came to him and said: “Teacher, I know that you are excellent at kung fu - and I dance the cha-cha-cha better than anyone else. So let’s exchange knowledge: you teach me kung fu techniques, and I’ll teach you how to dance the cha-cha-cha.” Bruce turned out to be very talented; in just 3 days of training, he mastered the movements of the Tai Chi technique, basic training for which usually takes weeks. Since then, Bruce never left kung fu for long and constantly trained.
