DT-75 in 1:43 scale from ModelStroy
ModelStroy- Russian manufacturer of showcases, racks, boxes for storage and display of scale models.
The company also makes various kinds of copies of real objects (bus stops, stalls, telephone booths, etc.) and dioramas to revive the collections.
In early 2014, ModelStroy finally released.
The release of the model was delayed for two long years, but the result exceeded all expectations. Numbered metal models with typesetting tracks, amazing copying and attention to detail. Although the Stalinets began to come to collectors back in January, it did not appear on the free sale in March either. ModelStroy provides reserves for collectors who are willing to wait for an exceptional model.
On March 25, 2014, ModelStroy announced the start of work on the creation of the famous DT-75 tractor.
The history of the DT-75 is enormous. For almost 50 years - while modifying externally, the eminent worker at his root remained the same DT-75, which first came out back in 1963 from the assembly line of the Volgograd Tractor Plant.
Dozens of modifications, engines, cab options and external linkage.
ModelStroy plans to gradually release all interesting versions of the DT-75, produced up to the present day.
The first to enter development was the usual early DT-75.
It is characterized by a rounded grille and a cabin (unified with the GAZ-51), a double seat, straight control levers, a characteristic arrangement of pipes on the hood, etc.
In a few years, the cab will be made higher, and the levers will be bent towards the driver ... In the meantime, we are making the very first version.
The modeling has reached the stage where the main features of the future model are visible.
Discussing an asterisk. Since we are making an early version of the tractor, we take a photograph from the monument as a basis. Later, a triangular stamping appeared on the teeth. Plus on the earliest 6 equally spaced bolts, later 8 bolts and the characteristic 3-1-3-1 arrangement. We got a little stuck on the asterisk, fixing all these details. In any case, the difference between the very first DT-75 and the next (DT-75M, etc.) will be not only in the geometry of the cockpit, but in these, albeit not immediately noticeable, details.

Perhaps some of our collectors have an early DT-75 nearby. The hard worker is still in the ranks. But the early one is very difficult to find. We study drawings and photographs with interest. The SMD-14 engine is a four-stroke, four-cylinder, compressorless, with vortex-chamber mixture formation. Rated power 75 hp with. at 1700 rpm. This diesel engine and its modifications were produced by the Kharkov plant "Hammer and Sickle" and are intended for installation on tractors, combines, self-propelled chassis and other machines.

We are busy with the tracks. At the same time, we are looking for directions - try to do it on the fingers, on the snaps, on the half-fingers, etc. The whole problem is that the size of the track is such that it is unrealistic to drill it.
But the rest of the model has already acquired the basic physical elements. This is a layout model, we develop mates, keeping copies.
In a real tractor, the radiator grill is a separate part. From above, the front of the hood crawls onto it. Typically modelers (on this and other scales) simplify this element by making the entire front end in one large piece. Probably, our DT-75 will be the first model where this unit is made correctly.
The main details are modeled and physically embodied.
Soon, very soon, the release of the model.
Something else will be fixed here. In particular, early versions had two seats. We have one thing so far, work is underway to fix it. And a couple more details will be fixed.
