Tractor T-150K
The development of the T-150K tractor in the 20th century was a real breakthrough in tractor construction. The first tractor of this model was produced at the Kharkov Tractor Plant. It took a lot of resources, both physical and mental, to create this model. After all, very qualified engineers worked on the creation, among them the leader was Boris Pavlovich Kashuba. The development of the project began with the name "T-150". As a result, in 1971, the first tractor T-150K... Moreover, the plant produced a very small batch - only 500 pieces.
It was very difficult to develop and release such a tractor for sale. The fact is that in 1971 there was not a single world analogue of the T-150K, it had no competitors. On the other hand, it was not entirely clear with the use of such tractors in practice.
After the release of a trial batch of 500 cars, it became clear that such a model is needed in agriculture. However, it required quite serious improvements. The next batch was produced in 1972 in the amount of 4000 tractors, sold almost immediately.
As a result, in the Soviet Union, the T-150K tractors began to be very actively used in agriculture. The production of these machines increased every year. The tractor showed itself very well when plowing large plots of land, it also showed its versatility and reliability.
From an engineering point of view, this model was also very valuable. The T-150K has undergone a huge number of improvements, the creation of variations, etc. Bulldozers, snow blowers and much more were made on its basis. There are models with tracks.
The Kharkov plant worked not only for the domestic market of the USSR. A large number of copies were sold to other countries, including the United States. Everyone was amazed at the technical characteristics, the possibility of using the T-150K tractor.
The T-150K tractor was equipped with diesel engines SMD-60 and SMD-62. On tracked models, the SMD-60 engine was installed, and on the wheeled ones, the SMD-62. Engines differ a little. There is only a slight difference in power.
To date, this tractor has not lost its relevance. In Russia, the OrTZ plant is engaged in the production of T150K. There are two factories in Ukraine - KhTZ and KhTA. Until now, this model remains the leader in its class on the territory of the former USSR. The tractors produced by these factories are slightly different from each other, but they have the same base.
Today T150-K, which are produced at the plant of our country, are tractors of the European level. It is a comfortable car that allows you to be productive. Let's talk about the technical characteristics in more detail.
This model is not very bad by today's standards.
Diesel four-stroke engines on the T-150K are produced in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. Power can fluctuate very much - from 132 to 240 horsepower.
Transmission. The tractor has 9 speeds. The transmission is hydromechanical, with a double-disc clutch.
There is an air cleaning system. It is two-stage. It includes a multi-cyclone (purifies the air) and the air filter itself.
Both axles of the tractor are driving axles, they have exactly the same dimensions. It is possible to lock the front axle to reduce fuel consumption. The undercarriage is equipped with wheel brake pads and a band parking brake.
The T-150K tractor has received many awards at agricultural machinery exhibitions.
The price fluctuates a lot. It all depends on the year of manufacture. If the year of manufacture is approximately 1980-1990, then the price will fluctuate between 200,000-500,000 rubles, depending on the state of technology. In the 2000s, the average price will be 250,000-700,000 rubles, again depending on the state. For a new T-150K tractor, you will have to pay from 1,250,000 rubles, this is the minimum configuration.
I would like to summarize a little. The T-150K tractor is a very serious technique. It is advisable to buy it only if you have a large farm and you have large areas that need to be cultivated every year. In this case, this model will become a universal assistant for you.
