Tractor T-25 - the optimal solution for agriculture
T-25 is a wheeled tractor, which was produced in several modifications. Two enterprises were engaged in the production of the car: Kharkov and Vladimir plants. The technical characteristics of the tractor made it possible to use the equipment for various agricultural operations.
From 1966 to 1972, the cars were produced in Kharkov, then the production line was moved to Vladimir. So the name "Vladimir" was assigned to the tractor. In 1973, the first modification, the T-25A, was created. The car had economical fuel consumption and began to be considered the basic one in the model range.
Features of technology
The Vladimir is classified as a tractor belonging to the 0.6 traction class. The relatively low power does not interfere with the technique to perform a fairly wide range of work. Depending on the attachment, the technique can be used:
- to prepare fields for sowing and harvesting (in small areas);
- when carrying out construction and road works;
- perform work in greenhouses, orchards and vineyards;
- play the role of a traction drive when working with feeders;
- provide loading and unloading operations and engage in cargo transportation.
The tractor has a classic shape: the front engine, behind which is the cab. The rear drive axle is equipped with large radius wheels. The front steering axle is equipped with a smaller wheelset.
Due to its low cost, good maneuverability and maneuverability, the machine is considered the most popular used in small farms.
Tractor device
The general technical structure of the machine does not differ from most tractors of this class. This is confirmed by the appearance of the tractor and the location of the main units. But there are also distinctive features that only Vladimir has. Let's dwell on them in more detail.
Chassis
The bearing part consists of the following units: two semi-frames, rear axle, clutch and gearbox. The installed wheelsets can adjust the track width. For the front wheels, this parameter varies from 1,200 to 1,400 mm, the rear axle can leave a track in the range of 1,100-1,500 millimeters.
This feature allows the tractor to perform various tasks, even maneuvering in confined spaces. For greater cross-country ability, lugs are provided on the tires. The sprung suspension and the possibility of doubling the wheels, allows you to operate the equipment on difficult soils.
Engine
The power plant function of the T25 is performed by the D-21A1 four-stroke diesel engine. The unit has two cylinders, has a capacity of 25 horsepower and provides minimum fuel consumption (223 g / kWh), even at maximum power.
Of the features of the power plant, one can single out unpretentiousness in terms of fuels and lubricants and a double automatic lubrication system. The lubrication scheme is as follows: under pressure and spray.
The fuel is supplied directly, and an air system is used for cooling. The power plant is driven by an electric starter.
Transmission
Manual transmission, supplemented by power doubler and reverse. The gear shift scheme is as follows: 8 front (of which two are lowered) and 6 rear.
Of the features, it can be noted that the main units, gearbox, differential and main gear are collected in one unit - the transmission case and. The T-25 tractor was equipped with a permanent single-disc clutch of a closed type. This scheme included the PTO and the main clutch.
Cabin
The T-25 tractor was produced from the factory with a single two-door cab. For greater reliability, the workplace was strengthened with a safety cage.
Panoramic windows and rear-view mirrors provided excellent visibility. The steering column and driver's seat could change their configuration. A heating and ventilation system was provided for all-season operation.
Attachments
Mods overview
Due to the peculiarities of the hydraulic system, up to 600 kilograms of attachments can be installed on the Vladimir. A gear-type pumping station is responsible for the operation of additional equipment. The tractor can be aggregated with cultivators, plows, semi-trailers, devices for harvesting beets and potatoes, dozer blade and KUHN.
The most used equipment in agriculture is the T-25 plow. This is usually a single-body plow designed to work in small areas with small runs. The plow for the T-25 is installed on three support points, the frame of the device must be parallel to the ground.
Mods overview
The T-25 "Vladimir" tractor was modified several times. The entire lineup did not differ much from the basic version. The designers made only minor changes to the design of their brainchild. Here are the most common options for the Vladimir tractor.
T-25A2
In fact, it is a lightweight version of the base model. The designers managed to reduce the weight of the tractor by replacing the cab with a tarpaulin awning. This expanded the functionality of the equipment, but made it impossible to use it in the winter.
By the way, it was possible to replace the awning with an all-metal cabin. As practice has shown, none of the farmers did this, preferring to use the equipment only in the warm season.
T-25A3
In this version, the manufacturers have paid great attention to the safety of the driver. The cab was equipped with a more reliable frame. This made it possible to protect the tractor driver from serious injuries in the event of the machine overturning. In addition, the body has been slightly changed, giving the tractor a more modern look.
T-25K
It was designed to handle high crops. With the same power and functionality, manufacturers have significantly increased the vehicle's ground clearance. Thus, the ground clearance has increased to 150 centimeters.
Advantages and disadvantages
The T-25 tractor is, albeit a low-power, but a multifunctional machine. Thanks to the variable track and ground clearance, the machine can be used for almost any job.
If there is a need for loading work, the machine can easily take over the function of a front loader. Unlike most analogues, the tractor can move in reverse for a long time, performing various works, but without losing power. The machine is easy to operate and can operate even on low quality fuel.
Has "Vladimir" and disadvantages. The most problematic part is the crankshaft. Most tractors from this series are idle due to crankshaft breakage.
Grease leaks through the mounting studs and oil seals. The plow for the T-25 is applicable only on light soils. When plowing deeply, the tractor simply does not have enough power.
Difficulty starting the engine in the cold season. The disease of most domestic tractors is to blame for this - air cooling of the engine.
In general, the technique copes well with the tasks assigned to it.
