Matthew Bellamy and Elle Evans are getting ready for their wedding! British rocker proposed marriage American model, whom he has been dating for about two years.
They're engaged!
Elle Evans, 28, announced that she had become the bride of 39-year-old Matthew Bellamy on her Instagram. The model wrote:
"I was planning on wowing everyone for Christmas but I just couldn't wait any longer... We're happy to announce to the world that we're engaged!"

Very romantic
Elle illustrated her story with colorful photographs from the island of Fiji, where the lovers went to celebrate the model’s birthday. After horse riding on the ocean shore, the frontman of the group Muse laid out a heart made of coconuts on the sand, hiding a diamond ring for his beloved in one of them.

In her post, Evans said:
“Literally a couple of days after my birthday, which became the most romantic of my life, the man of my dreams asked me to marry him! After tears of joy, a sigh of shock and a second of disbelief, I answered “YES”! I can't imagine my life without him. I can imagine our bright future, overflowing with the love and light of our family and friends, moments that turn into cherished memories, and a life full of bliss.”

By the way, skeptics ask Elle Evans not to rush things. For Bellamy, who has never been married, this was the third engagement. At first, he dated psychologist Gaia Polloni for nine years, and then for four years he was the boyfriend of actress Kate Hudson, who gave birth to a son with him. The musician never reached the altar with any of his brides.
And here are two more news about parting.
I missed this news, but I hasten to inform you in case someone doesn’t know.
It all happened in early December.
Dev Patal and Freida Pinto broke up. The couple dated for 6 years.
The first suspicions about discord in their relationship arose after Patel was absent from his lover’s 30th birthday in October this year.
In addition, it became noticeable that over the past six months in all interviews the actress avoided questions about Virgo, although before she did not skimp on nice words.
They also reported the end of the relationship and the breaking of the engagement. Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy.
The actress and lead singer of the group Muse Matthew began dating in 2010. During this time, they became the parents of a son, Bingham "Bing" Hawn Bellamy, and announced their engagement, but it never came to a wedding. According to rumors, Kate did not grieve for long and found new love in the person of dancer and actor Derek Hough (“Nashville”).
The actress has already appeared at several events with her new lover. First, paparazzi spotted the couple at the Nice Guy restaurant in Los Angeles. They also attended Goldie Hawn's dinner party together.
Music lovers around the world associate the name Matthew Bellamy with the work of the legendary Muse team. Guitarist, keyboardist, vocalist and, of course, the creator and permanent leader of this group, Bellamy has been a true rock legend for decades now and, despite his impressive stage experience, continues to gather full houses of fans with the group.
Childhood and youth
Matthew James Bellamy was born in Cambridge, British on June 9, 1978. The artist's zodiac sign is Gemini. Matthew's passion for music came as a child, and it was no coincidence: the boy's father, George Bellamy, participated in several groups. One of them, the group “The Tornados,” was even popular among rock music fans. It is not surprising that Matthew also had dreams of the stage and fame. True, George’s other children (except Matthew, there were two more children in the family - an older sister and a younger brother) did not show interest in music.
Matthew also inherited an “inheritance” from his mother - she was fascinated by otherworldly entities and even, according to her own statement, talked with the dead and spirits. Bellamy himself would later become seriously puzzled by the idea of the existence of a worldwide conspiracy, the machinations of the world “over-government,” the Illuminati and aliens, contact with which the powers that be allegedly hide.
When Matthew was a teenager, his parents divorced. The situation was such that the grandmother had to raise the young man. During the same period, in order to express his experiences and self-realization, the young man seriously began to master playing the guitar. Bellamy later admits in an interview that he wanted to join Dominic Howard's local band "Gothic Plague" and prove to his parents and others that he was worth something.

The plan was a success, and over the next 2 years the aspiring musician honed his skills and gained experience in this team. During the same period, Bellamy began to write his own songs: first, “on the table,” and then tried to perform them. Soon the repertoire of “Gothic Plague”, who played mainly covers of popular compositions, was replenished with Matthew’s tracks. At first, listeners did not appreciate the new items, but gradually the musician began to gain fans.
Some time later, after graduating from school, Bellamy went to travel around Europe. This journey, according to the musician, greatly influenced his worldview, filling the gaps in his education. It is also noteworthy that on this trip, while in Greece, Matthew wrote the legendary composition “Muscle Museum”.
Music
In 1997, a representative of the record company accidentally showed up at one of the concerts of Bellamy and his comrades. The performance impressed him so much that the very next day the group was offered a serious contract. This was the beginning creative biography the legendary Muse team and the career of Matthew Bellamy.

Two years later, the group released their first album, called "Showbiz". The record immediately became popular, and the band went on their first large-scale tour, winning more and more fans. The second album "Muse" was released in 2001. Both records are united by emotionality, expressiveness and, of course, Matthew’s unique vocals. According to Bellamy, in his youth he really fully corresponded to the image of the lyrical hero of his compositions.
But the next album, “Absolution,” on the contrary, turned out to be lyrical and even somewhat depressive. At that time, Matthew Bellamy often complained about problems in his personal life: the young man suffered from the fact that women perceived him as a rock star, and not as an ordinary guy. This interfered with the relationship and made the musician worry.
Matthew Bellamy's song "Muscle Museum"In addition, this record also reflected the artist’s passion for the theory of global conspiracy. As Matthew admitted, the composition “Ruled by Secrecy” became a reflection of the book of the same name by Jim Marrs, dedicated to secret power.
The 2006 album “Black Holes and Revelations” also deals with themes of government conspiracy and the possible takeover of the Earth by aliens, but its sound is no longer as dark. By the time of its release, the work of “Muse” had already become popular all over the world, which was confirmed by numerous prizes and awards.

So, in 2008, the band members - Matthew Bellamy, Dominic Howard and Chris Wolstenholme - received honorary Doctor of Arts titles. And two years later, the musicians were recognized as the authors of the best guitar riff of the decade ( we're talking about about the composition “Plug In Baby”).
Music lovers also note the unique range of Matthew Bellamy’s voice, which set the style for the group’s work. His recognizable falsetto, complemented by virtuoso guitar and piano passages, makes the team’s work unique.
Matthew Bellamy's song "Starlight"It is noteworthy that the group’s first albums were often compared to the work of the teams and, however, the members of “Muse” managed to prove their individuality with further compositions. Bellamy himself often emphasized that he was a fan of music.
Over the years of creativity, the list of compositions of the Muse group has also accumulated many soundtracks. There are already several dozen items in the “filmography” of musicians, and it is constantly being updated. The most famous were the songs written for the film “The Tourist” (composition “Starlight”), the TV series “Doctor Who”, the “Twilight” saga, as well as for the film “Bloody Harvest” with Cecile de France and Maiwenn Le Besco .
Personal life
Matthew Bellamy's personal life interests fans no less than his creativity. At first, the high timbre of the artist’s voice even provoked a wave of gossip about the performer’s sexuality, but these rumors were not confirmed.

The musician's first high-profile romance was his relationship with an actress. The lovers even celebrated their engagement, and in 2011 the girl gave Matthew her first child, the son of Bingham Hawn Bellamy. Unfortunately, after another three years, the couple announced their separation.
The musician did not remain alone for long: already in 2015, photos of Matthew Bellamy in the company of actress and model Elle Evans appeared in the press, and after some time the couple officially confirmed their relationship. In 2017, it became known that Elle would soon become the musician’s wife - on Instagram, the girl posted a photo of a beautiful ring on her finger and talked about her engagement to Matthew.
Matthew Bellamy now
Now Matthew Bellamy and his bandmates are busy preparing a new album. It is already known that it will be released in November 2018.
Song "The Dark Side" by MuseLet us remind you: in February the team already presented one track from the upcoming album - “Thought Contagion”, and at the end of August in "Instagram" The musician has a video with a guitar solo from another new song - “The Dark Side”.

Scandals and intrigues, alien invasions and the end of the world - the popular British group Muse has been singing about this and more for 20 years. On June 19, the band gave a concert in Moscow, and on June 21 they will perform in St. Petersburg. On the eve of Muse's Russian concerts, HELLO! found out what you don’t learn from the band’s songs and what its lead singer Matthew Bellamy is afraid of.
Muse Group When Matthew Bellamy starts singing in his unique falsetto, I get really scared! They're just sick, these Muse, but for some reason people like them,
Former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher wails. The British muse, the fiends of hell, the musical terrorists who have taken over the world... Over the 20 years of their existence on the rock scene, people have come up with different things about the group Muse, but one thing has remained unchanged - they have been talked about. They also presented awards, including the Grammy and Brit Awards, and bought studio albums in huge quantities. On June 5, the British rockers released their seventh album Drones, on June 19 they performed in Moscow as part of the Park Live festival, and on the 21st they can be heard in the large arena of the Petrovsky Stadium in St. Petersburg at the 10th anniversary Greenfest festival. It's time on the eve of the concert to debunk the myths about the group, whose history contains a little bit of everything: magic, rock and roll and love.
Practical magic
“Talking to the dead changed my life,” says Matthew Bellamy. As a child, he actually communicated with the spirits of the dead using a Ouija board. This accessory, popular at that time in some American families for summoning otherworldly forces, was very loved by his mother Marilyn. One late evening, nine-year-old Matthew found her with his father and his older brother at another session and was accepted into a home spiritualist circle.
The spirits told us secrets that no one else could know. One of the “interlocutors” even predicted the war in the Persian Gulf a year before the event itself, Bellamy later recalled. “Back then I loved coming to school and scaring my classmates with stories about our get-togethers. This made me special.

His peers had something to be afraid of: an eccentric, withdrawn boy disappeared into the library, reading books on the occult, and said strange things. At the age of 12, Matthew became even more withdrawn: at home he broke a huge mirror, the pride of the Bellamy family.
My mother then shouted at me that I had cursed the whole family for seven years in advance. Definitely one of my worst memories
He'll tell you later. Soon the parents, as if confirming the curse, divorced. A year later Matt's children's competition talent in the British town of Teignmouth was noticed by music producer Dennis Smith: in addition to magic, the boy practiced playing the piano. “Even then, Matt looked older than his age, he played with some special thoughtfulness,” Smith later recalled in an interview with Kerrang! magazine.
At the age of 12, Matt met fellow students at neighboring schools, Dominic Howard and Chris Wolstenholme. Then it was fashionable to put together rock bands, and they created their own - Rocket Baby Dolls. At first, the guys didn’t put any special meaning into their musical hobby: Dominic and Chris played for the company, Matt - because he didn’t know how to do anything else, and he didn’t want to do anything else. The three were unanimous in one opinion:
We lived in a boring little town where residents had few choices: get drunk, fight, take drugs, or do anything else. We chose something else - music.

Rockers prefer...
My musical biography The trio from Teignmouth began writing even before moving to London and the new name of the group. IN hometown During their performances, they destroyed equipment on stage, sometimes throwing guitars at each other. “Music is the essence of emotion,” Bellamy mused, and continued to explore emotional depths off stage. He no longer contacted the spirits, but became fascinated by his own subconscious with the help of hallucinogenic mushrooms:
My first neighbor in a rented apartment was a drug dealer, but I never dabbled in heroin, only mushrooms and only in the right proportion.
In the right proportion, Bellamy managed to experience a little bit of everything: in addition to the general “musician”, his resume could easily have included “decorator”, “saboteur-demolitionist”, “toilet cleaner”. “There were a lot of strange things going on back then that I would rather forget now,” he would say later, when Muse’s popularity exploded. The group also dealt with the consequences of fame in their own way, or rather, in no way:
When our first album Showbiz came out, everyone expected us to have a riotous lifestyle and orgies with fans, but we were not interested in that.
Off stage, rock and roll of a mystical nature was happening with the British trio. After one of his performances in Vienna, Bellamy disappeared without a trace for two days, and then returned “as if possessed,” as his colleagues described him. And in 2000, after the group received their first big award at the NME Awards, the plane with the musicians caught fire in the air: “We sat in the cabin with this award like idiots, and the flames were visible in the window.”

In contrast to such events, Matthew Bellamy's personal life was calm and quiet: he dated Italian psychologist Gaia Polloni for nine years, and in 2009 they broke up. Only after this, Bellamy, as if remembering his status, followed the path of a real rock star: he began an affair with Hollywood actress Kate Hudson.
We met at the Coachella festival, he immediately asked for my phone number, was polite and simply captivated me,
Kate told InStyle magazine in 2011. By that time, she and Matt were already engaged, expecting a child, and Kate was looking for a house in London to move from Los Angeles closer to her lover. Next to his famous friend, the usually private Bellamy opened up: he told reporters how scary it was for him to meet Kate's mother Goldie Hawn, and shared his first impressions of their son Bingham. However, in an atmosphere of mutual goodwill, at the end of 2014 the couple announced their separation. No rock star scandals or mutual recriminations. Matt spoke about the breakup six months later in the most accessible form for him - music.

The end of the world is a premonition
“There’s no love in this record at all, just paranoia and fear,” Bellamy announced Muse’s new album, Drones (now available on iTunes) earlier this year. After breaking up with Kate, he returned to his favorite motifs: the supernatural and frightening. Matthew was afraid of many things: tsunamis, earthquakes, the end of the world and technological progress. Once, the musician even canceled communication with the press in New York under the pretext that a giant meteorite was about to fall on the city, and he agreed to give interviews only on board a helicopter. Soon after this, Bellamy admitted to reporters that he had long ago collected an emergency supply at home, where the rocker kept cereals, nuts, ropes, an ax and other useful items “just in case.”
“A lot of things scare me, but most of all, the loss of sensitivity,” he says now. - If you lose the ability to feel, then you die inside yourself.
Dead Inside is the name of the title track of Muse's new album. According to Bellamy, she best describes his feelings after breaking up with Kate Hudson: "You can't do anything, you feel broken." True, this condition did not prevent him from starting an affair with actress Elle Evans, a blonde who looked very similar to Kate, shortly after the breakup. He appeared with her arm at one of the parties at the last Cannes Film Festival. A 25-year-old model and actress, Elle has already starred in a thriller about the pangs of creativity, which has a very “original” title - Muse. What is this if not a sign of fate for the not at all religious, but rather superstitious Bellamy?!
Human
His father was directly involved in music (the only parent of all three Muse members) - George Bellamy played guitar in several bands, one of them being the very successful The Tornados. Matt's mother was strange, and often when he came home from school, he heard her talking to the dead, and without using any spiritualistic devices. He has an older half-sister (his father's daughter from a previous marriage) and a brother.
In 1990, the family of musician Chris Wolstenholme, Matthew Bellamy and Dominic Howard moved to the seaside town of Teignmouth, Devon, UK. The sweltering heat in the summer and the bitter cold in the winter is something that all the residents had a hard time getting used to. “If you're between 13 and 18, this place seems like a living hell. All we did was smoke and listen to music. There was nothing else for us to do there,” recalls Matthew. The family was wealthy, and Matt had everything he wanted. But a few years later his parents divorce, and everything changes in his life. Now he lives with his grandmother, and it was at this time that he began to seriously study music. This becomes a necessity for him.
To get into Dominic Howard's popular local band Gothic Plague, Matthew begins to learn to play the guitar. When a guitarist position opens up in Gothic Plague, Matthew jumps at the chance to take advantage of it. Over the next couple of years, the group's lineup kept changing, some leaving, others coming. Matt will later say with a laugh: “Everyone else ran away, unable to bear my company...”
It was at that time that Matthew began to seriously write his own songs, which no one needed yet, and so far did not arouse delight among listeners, which did not frighten the authors. As Muse bassist Chris would later recall: "On the contrary, we became more and more inclined to continue writing and playing our own songs. At first we played in empty clubs, but we promised ourselves that we would never play cover versions again , and we kept our word."
After graduation, Matt goes on a trip to Europe. He visits Italy, as well as Spain, where he meets a Spanish guitarist, from whom he manages to learn how to play the Spanish guitar in the flamenco style, and in general his wits. He also spends some time in Greece. While traveling, he says, very serious things happen to him: love stories, for example. And it was in Greece that that very song was born, called “Muscle Museum,” a strange combination of words Matt found in his pocket dictionary next to the name of his band.
At the beginning of the year, Matt works as an artist and graphic designer. He still plays free time with the guys who also found something to do: Chris works as an assistant in a guitar store, and Dominic is content with odd jobs. At one of the most ordinary concerts in the summer of 1997, a representative of the Dangerous Records label met the group and invited them to record in the studio. This marked the beginning of Muse's fame as music group and Bellamy himself as one of the world's greatest live performers.
Concert performances
Bellamy is known for his concert performances. He accompanies the performance of most of his songs with active stage improvisations. For example, when performing Plug In Baby, he sometimes jumps and spins on stage, finishing off the most complex riffs. His performances often include this jumping twirl and pushing the guitar between his legs. Songs such as Knights of Cydonia and Stockholm Syndrome are known as his favorite live songs. Bellamy is often hailed, including by NME, as one of today's greatest live performers (source?). Muse's most notable live performances include Reading Festival in 2002 and 2006, the 2002 Paris concert "Live at la Zenith", which formed the basis of the band's first DVD Hullabaloo, Glastonbury Festival in 2004, which featured the band as a headliner, and performances on 16 and 17 June 2007 at the opening of Wembley Stadium in London.
Musical equipment
Bellamy uses custom guitars made by Hugh Manson in Exeter, Devon. Currently, Matt has 11 Mansons, as well as many guitars from other manufacturers: Fender Aloha Stratocaster (one of Matt's favorite and most expensive guitars), Gibson Les Paul DC Lite, Gibson SG, Jackson Randy Rhoads (custom) and Parker Fly, Peavey EVH Wolfgang and Yamaha Pacifica.
The Yamaha Pacifica 120 SC has long been Matt's main tool. Almost irreplaceable guitar early period. Bellamy equipped it with two DiMarzio humbuckers and equipped it with a Roland GK-2a pickup system, specifically for use with the Roland VG-8 guitar processor. Also at concerts of that time, a Peavey Wolfgang EVH and a strange orange guitar - EMEX Londaxe, known from the Uno video, were often used.
Gibson Les Paul DC Lite - the main guitar of the 2000 tours. Just like most stage guitars, it was used with the Roland VG-8 processor. Matt broke it in Dublin Olympia on a Marshall 4 x 12 cabinet.
Matt:
The Fender Aloha Stratocaster is one of a limited edition of 153 Fender guitars produced. Matt's guitar is a 74. It was released in 1995, the deck is covered with aluminum. This guitar is dedicated to Freddie Tavares (1913-1990). He is a Hawaiian guitarist who was instrumental in the design of the Fender Stratocaster models.
The shape of the famous Manson guitar can be considered a hybrid of the Yamaha Pacifica, Fender Telecaster, Schecter and Godin Triumph. This shape was called "Mattocaster": the same name as the production Fender guitars.
The first and most famous is the silver Manson. Bellamy figured out how to improve its basic characteristics, and Hugh Manson helped him implement it. The body is made of poplar and covered with aluminum, the neck is made of maple, and the fingerboard is rosewood. The guitar has a built-in Z.Vex Fuzz Factory, which gives Bellamy a unique sound and the ability to use controlled feedback. In addition, it has an MXR Phase 90 phaser, a Roland GK-2a midi pickup (polyphonic), and Seymour Duncan and Kent Armstrong pickups. All his other “Mansons” have a similar design (except for the seven-string guitar, which was not originally intended for Matt), with only slight differences in pickups and gadgets. Only the built-in Z.Vex Fuzz Factory and MXR Phase 90 remain permanent.
Matt's black Manson has a MIDI strip (touch pad) that controls an external Digitech Whammy WH4 pedal via a hardware MIDI interface. The neck is equipped with blue spectrum LEDs from Sims Custom L.E.Ds. The main difference between Black Manson is the built-in Z.Vex Wah Probe pedal. This is a standard Wah - an effect controlled by a shiny brass plate screwed onto the front of the guitar. The operating principle is the same as that of a theremin. This plate acts as an antenna around which a ball of radio frequency energy is formed. The closer your hand gets to the plate, the brighter the Wah effect becomes. The guitar is equipped with three pickups: the bridge is a Kent Armstrong Motherbucker, the neck is a Seymour Duncan Hot P90, and a Fernandes Sustainer pickup system is installed on the guitar near the neck. It is operated by a switch, which in turn is connected to a Kent Armstrong Motherbucker bridge humbucker. Above the MIDI touch pad there is a switch lever, which is soldered to the pickups according to the ON/OFF/ON scheme. This circuit is called Toggle Kill Switch (in the middle position of the toggle switch, the signal from the working pickup is cut off). Such schemes have long become an unofficial brand of Tom Morello. The switch is present on most Mansons. Matt sometimes uses this switch during live performances of Plug In Baby.
Berlin, Admiralspalast. 09/07/09
The Manson Bomber had to be produced in a short time frame. Initially, the guitar was supposed to have a mirror finish. Hugh Manson did not have the technology to chrome wood, so he turned to Martin Sims. The guitar had to be done very quickly in order to be in time for the Muse tour. In a hurry, the chrome plating was unsuccessful. Some places on the guitar turned out not mirror-like, but matte, and there were also small spots on the top of the soundboard. Hugh solved the problem by purchasing a box of aluminum rivets from a World War II aircraft from a local scrap yard. The box was marked "1945". It might have been a Spitfire fighter or something like that. Next, Hugh drilled holes in the deck and inserted rivets into them to make it look like it was made of sheet metal. Using a spray brush, Hugh applied a purple-blue tint to the guitar in the right places. Hugh Manson:
It is worth noting that this guitar does not have built-in effects, there is only control over an external Digitech Whammy WH4 pedal like Black “Manson” and a whammy presets controller (on the rear panel). Two pickups from Rio Grande: bridge model CrunchBox, neck model JazzBar, as well as a Floyd Rose double locking tremolo system and a Toggle kill switch.
For the new album Black Holes and Revelations, he purchased a new Black Kaoss Manson guitar. The guitar features two Hot P-90s on the bridge, a Fernandes Sustainer System on the neck and a Kaoss Pad. Matt also bought an M1D1 Manson, which is similar to the "Black Kaoss Manson" but uses a Bare Knuckle Nail Bomb humbucker on the bridge and a Fernandes Sustainer System (model FSK-101, which is a variation of the latter's humbucker) on the neck. It is also known that he uses a Jackson Randy Rhodes model on stage, and before that he played an Ibanez. Bellamy uses Diezel VH4 amplifiers, which are handcrafted in Germany, along with Marshall Mode Four cabinets, Soldano Cabinets and Line 6 Digital Effects.
Matt:
Most of Bellamy's rack effects are created by Line 6 modules. The effects modules are quite massive and are located in the rack of one of the Diezel amplifiers. Via a MIDI interface, all effects are daisy-chained using the Midi Solutions T8 Thru Box and Rocktron All Access Midi Controller. Bellamy also has the latter on stage along with an Ernie Ball Vlume/Expression Pedal, a Korg Rack Tuner and an A/B box switch. His studio effects chain also includes Nord Modular.
On the last album, "Undisclosed Desires" featured a keyboard, also made by Manson.
Achievements
In 2002, Matthew Bellamy was ranked number 29 on Total Guitar magazine's list of the world's 100 best guitarists, and his riff from Plug In Baby was polled at number 14 on the Top 100 Riffs. The same riff was featured in Q-magazine's Rock and Pop anthology as one of the best riffs ever played. In addition, according to the results of the "Top 100 Riffs of all time" poll of the Australian radio station "Triple J", the riff from Stockholm Syndrome was voted the greatest riff of all time, ahead of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and other equally legendary songs. Plug In Baby also entered the Top 20.
In April 2005, Kerrang! according to the results of the survey, Matt was ranked 28th in the list of “50 sexiest people from the world of rock music”, including as his home-grown guitarist number 1. The fashionable Cosmopolitan did not stand aside, awarding Matt the title of the sexiest rocker of 2003 and 2004 years. NME magazine ranked him as the 14th greatest rock 'n' roll hero of all time, placing him above Lennon, Dylan and many other musical icons.
