How to write a fairy tale examples. How to compose a fairy tale yourself - advice for beginners
Do you want to be surrounded by miracles? Do you agree to create magic yourself? Then become a kind storyteller! And if you don't know how to write a fairy tale, this article was created especially for you!
Where to start a fairy tale
Create characters for your fairy tale: good and evil, main characters and minor ones. Think over their features, "zest". There are no semitones in a fairy tale: the world is divided into black and white, good and bad. AND the main character definitely should arouse sympathy, even if he is a fool like Ivan or a lazy person like Emelya. And anyone and anything can become a hero - here there is full scope for imagination. Remember your first fairy tales: "Kolobok", "Ryaba Chicken", "Turnip". Characters can be more pretentious, as in modern fairy-tale art. You can create your own copyright, not on anyone similar hero! Actually, it is with its definition, a certain characteristic that the outset of the tale begins. "Who, where, when he lived" - you can follow this scheme.
Calm notes give way to intriguing ones: some unexpected event happens, from which bright, incredible adventures with miracles, transformations, magical objects begin for the main character! The main part of the tale is devoted to this story. The hero completes tasks, overcomes obstacles. And in this he is helped by friends - magic assistants (a classic example is the Little Humpbacked Horse). But a fairy tale can be calmer, while remaining instructive and wise. For example, in the children's fairy tale "Teremok", in fact, no adventures take place. But the fairy tale teaches us friendship, help, responsiveness, and also hard work: together you can move mountains or build a new teremok. But if you want your fairy tale to be listened to with your mouth open, get ready for an intricate plot with a chase, with miracles. At some point it gets scary, and then it's fun. The hero may be on the verge of death, but living water will come to the rescue or his faithful assistant will be right there: fairytale hero does not burn in fire and does not drown in water.
In order to write a fairy tale correctly, use stylistic techniques: threefold repetitions, exaggerations (hyperbole), oppositions (the antithesis: "large and small," "thick and thin") and, of course, adorning definitions (epithets: "wise", "beautiful "). This creates a traditional fairytale atmosphere and characterizes the characters.
The tale was written in the wrong words, not in the same style as the usual composition. And that is why it is read in one breath. It's also easy to remember!
Voltage point
In any fairy tale, sooner or later, the most tense moment occurs - the culmination when good and evil collide directly or when the hero faces the most serious test. But whatever falls to his lot, good invariably triumphs over evil. This is perhaps the most important fairytale law. This is stated in the denouement: "And they began to live and live, and make good money" or "And they lived happily ever after" - traditional happy fairy endings. You may not put a final point in your tale (open ending), let everyone speculate how it can end. Or maybe your fairy tale will have a continuation?
We hope you have decided how to write an essay - a fairy tale, and soon you will be able to please little readers with a new story. And if you can still create illustrations, decorate your creation, your fairy tale will not have a price! I wish you creative success and inspiration!
In textbooks on literary reading some teaching materials for grades 2-3 have tasks to compose a fairy tale or story on their own. In fact, it is not difficult to do this, you just need to grab the idea. Often it is given not just to compose a fairy tale, but a fairy tale on a certain topic, for example, some proverb should become its meaning. In the program the planet of knowledge, for example: "tackle a good deed skillfully" or others of your choice.
Composed fairy tales
First, practice on something simple, without a predetermined topic (in the UMK school of Russia, for example, the task appears to simply compose a fairy tale). Maybe you remember some interesting and instructive incident from life, you can come up with it yourself. You can, by analogy with well-known fairy tales, come up with your own. Here are examples of fairy tales composed by children, let them inspire you to write their own.
Why does a hare have long ears?
Once upon a time there was a little hare. He was constantly bragging about something. He showed off his white fluffy tail, his sharp teeth, his keen eyes. Once he sat on a tree stump and bragged to the whole forest that he was able to jump over the highest hummock in this forest. The bunny did not notice how the wolf crept up behind and grabbed him by the ears. The bunny pulled out, pulled out, forcibly pulled out. Look at yourself, and the wolf stretched out his ears. Now the bunny looks at its long ears and sits quietly under the bush, does not protrude.
Oak.
The little acorn lost its hat and went in search of it. He jumped over the roots of the daddy-oak tree, stirred up the withered grass and looked under the leaves:
- This is not my hat, it is too big and too big for me!
- And this, double, is suitable for twin acorns.
- And this is last year, this season they are no longer worn!
For a long time I was looking for an acorn for my hat, I got tired and fell asleep. He woke up in the spring, the sun is warming, warm. He looks, not an acorn, but a small oak tree, and he no longer needs a hat.
The Tale of the Connoisseur Traffic Light.
A new traffic light was installed at the intersection. He was tall, slender and overflowing with dignity.
Whoever said that it is necessary to turn on the colors in turn, it is much more beautiful to shimmer with all the colors at once, decided the Traffic Light and goggled all 12 eyes on the road.
- Hey, what are you doing! - cars started beeping.
They huddled in a frightened heap and nuzzled each other like blind kittens.
You look like cuttlefish! - a traffic light shouted to them from above and swayed with laughter.
A girl came up to the crossing. "What a pretty one!" - thought the traffic light and winked at her in three colors at once. And again the indignant squeal of brakes.
"Just think," - offended the Traffic Light. “Here I’m going to take it and switch off! Let's see how you can cope here without me! ”
I thought so and went out.
And the next day, another traffic light was installed at the intersection, responsible and reliable.
Compose a fairy tale or story, the name and meaning of which may be one of the proverbs:
- Better to lose with a clever than to find with a fool.
- The head is thick, but the head is empty.
- They do not beat with a spear, but with the mind.
- If there was a mind, there would be a ruble.
- A foolish mind lets it go around the world.
The head is thick, but the head is empty
In one small town there was a girl with beautiful blue eyes and blond curls. Like all girls, she went to school, where many lessons were given. She really did not like it: in the classroom she thought about how beautiful she was, and at home she admired herself in the mirror. Every morning she had to do homework, although she was attracted only by the numerous combs and hairpins. One day she could not resist and decided to get herself a beautiful hairstyle instead of sitting down to textbooks. She came to school with unlearned lessons. When she was summoned to the board, she was confused and did not know what to answer. The teacher reproachfully looked at the girl and her beautiful hairstyle and said: the head is thick, but the head is empty. She felt very ashamed, and the curled locks were no longer pleasing.
The stupid mind lets the world go
Once a guy decided to earn extra money. Give, thinks, I will help the neighbors, and they will give me money for this. Came to the first neighbor, offered to walk her dog. The neighbor agreed. The boy let the dog off the leash, and she ran away. The neighbor did not pay him, and even demanded money from him for the dog. The boy thought that it was easier to go to the store for groceries for other neighbors. I suggested to them. And he put the money in a pocket with holes, and it fell out on the way. No food, no money, again I had to give my neighbors. Here he sits and thinks how to help the third neighbors, and get a bonus for it. That's how a stupid mind lets it go around the world!
If there was a mind, there would be a ruble
Once upon a time there were two brothers. Both are tall, slender, black-haired - a pleasure to look at, but one is smart and the other not very much. Once they got hold of a treasure map. The brothers decided to go in search of them. It was shown on the map that the treasures were hidden in the dense forest. The brothers came up to a large fir tree at the edge of the forest. From it you need to go north. The elder brother looks at which side of the ants tree the anthill was built, where there is more moss, where there is less, but he knows where the north is. And the younger only scratched the back of his head, but followed the older one. A bear is coming towards them. The elder climbed the tree, calling for the younger, and he grabbed the stick and teased the bear. Bear at him. The boy rushed to run, only his heels sparkle. And the elder got down from the tree and dug up the treasure. If there was a mind, there would be a ruble!
They do not beat with a spear, but with the mind
Once upon a time there was Ivashka. He decided to go on a journey. He took a pie with him and went to wander around the world. Ivashka found a cave. There he met two giants. They thought that Ivashka was very weak, and decided to arrange a competition. Who is stronger? The cave is given to the one who won. First competition: squeeze juice out of a stone. Ivashka remembered that he had taken a pie with him. He took out a pie and squeezed out the filling. "You are strong," said the giant. The second test: you have to throw a stone high. "Your stone has fallen to the ground, but mine will not fall." Ivashka caught a bird that was passing by and threw it up. The bird flew away. The giant gave the cave to Ivashka. They do not beat with a spear, but with the mind.

You asked: "Help me compose a fairy tale?" Because you want to learn how to compose a fairy tale yourself.
- Your children are 4-7 years old
- Are you new to fairy tale writing
- You need a simple technique for composing fairy tales
- You want to enjoy the development process of your children
The good news is that by following my tips, you will learn how to compose little fairy tales for your children. You will definitely succeed if you follow simple rules. If you go step by step.
So, let's go!
1. You need a hero or heroine of a fairy tale
Compose a fairy tale about a person, animal, plant, or any object: a toy, kettle, spoon, light bulb, table, tablet. About everything that catches your eye or comes to mind. If you wish, you can revive anything, even natural phenomena. But people or animals are most often the main actors fabulous stories.
What do you think is the main thing for the hero?
Of course, his character and appearance.
Think what your hero is
He's funny? Clever? Brave? Beautiful?
Also don't forget to come up with little flaws.
It is small? Shy? Often lazy? Stubborn?
It may take some time to create a character for a small fairy tale. But if you have a convincing hero or heroine that evokes sympathy and a desire to help him, then half the battle is done. By the way, an invented character can be made a hero of a variety of stories.
Use these bricks to create the character of the hero of your fairy tale
As you understand, one hero or heroine is not enough for a fairy tale.
Place the hero of your short story in a specific time and space
Consider whether your story takes place in a real or fictional world.
Now? A long time ago? Or in the distant future?
How long will it take for the hero to overcome all difficulties and reach the goal?
A day, a few years, a century?
Place your character in a familiar or unusual setting.
Don't overcomplicate. You can, for example, put a hero in your apartment and imagine a living room filled with cozy armchairs and sofas with sofa cushions. Or the kitchen. Or a nursery. Or a yard.
Remember to include all your senses. And for this, go inside your hero or heroine and imagine.
Please note that most fairy tales of all times and peoples use the idea of "a lady in trouble" or "a young man is in trouble." These ideas always work!
Compose what happened to the main character
- unusual phenomenon,
- the villain conjured something,
- some deed has shifted the balance,
- disease,
- stealing something vital,
- a loss,
- poverty and the need to survive,
- the task of saving or protecting someone, perhaps the whole world.
Come up with goals
- solve a small or large problem,
- reach a destination as a result of travel,
- help yourself, a family member or just save a person,
- living the dream,
- get an answer to a question,
- break the spell,
- to heal or to be cured?
- find a friend or loved one.
5. Your little fairy tale should have a happy ending
Even though we don't always get what we want in real life, the world of fairy tales makes us believe that anything is possible.
Try these ideas:
- the main character of the fairy tale saves himself, his family or someone else,
- the hero solves the puzzle and reveals the secret,
- the main character overcomes obstacles and his character or character trait changes,
- the main character becomes happier, richer, smarter, he has friends.
Now you can start introducing the tale
Apply the classic beginnings: “Once upon a time”, “In the same country, far, far away,” “Long ago, when,” and the like.
Or come up with your own: "The legend says" or "Deep, in the very heart of the forest."
Choose a "point of view" for a composed fairy tale
How will you tell your story: from the first, second or third person?
As a storyteller, you can be directly involved in the action or provide only objective evidence of how the characters in the story act and what happens to them.
Make sure that the text of the fairy tale you have composed is appropriate for the child's age
For kids v age from 3 to 5 years old use simple themes.
The hero did not know something, and through simple actions he learned. The hero was sad, but became cheerful. Someone was greedy, but thanks to the actions of the hero, he became kind. The hero corrected the injustice, made friends with other characters, saved the character and made him smile. I lost something, but as a result of my actions I found it.
For kids agedfrom 5 to 7 years you can complicate topics.
Add villains, let the hero overcome three rather than one difficult situation. Add evil magic to your fairy tale, turn on the rebellious actions of the hero: disobedience, escape from the house for adventure, committing a forbidden action. Weave into the narrative morality, summarized in proverbs and sayings.
And before moving on to the examples, get your GIFT!

Examples of how to compose a fairy tale yourself
And now - examples magical stories and pictures for visual warm-up. Start with a little fairy tale. And in order to open the doors of your imagination, consider photographs and pictures. Let your fantasy turn on.
My favourite dog
This story was written by a mother together with her five-year-old son, whose dog died. The son told his dream, and his mother wrote it down under dictation.
A fairy tale about butterflies
- Mommy, where did the butterflies come from? I ask.
And she tells me.
One fall, a Wizard watched the children play on the lawn. The children laughed and rejoiced, but the wizard was sad. I was sad because I saw how time passed, taking people, flowers and all the beauty of the world with it to other worlds.
“We need to preserve the beauty here on earth for people,” thought the Wizard.
He took out a magic box and began to put in it the sunbeams, the blue of the sky, the glare of flowers, children's laughter, the breath of the wind.
When the children went to bed and the clearing was empty, the wizard opened the box. A light rhythmic rustle filled the air, beautiful butterflies fluttered wherever the eye penetrated.
- Fly to the magical land to your Queen, - said the wizard. - Now your mission is to give people beauty.
The kingdom of butterflies is hidden among the impenetrable jungle and high cliffs. There are many wonderful fragrant flowers and herbs, transparent lakes and crystal waterfalls. The sun shines here all summer and all year round. This wonderful country is ruled by a beautiful and kind Queen of Butterflies. She is very beautiful, cheerful and joyful.
Focus on a specific topic. Choose a specific theme - "search for identity" or "loss", "gender relationship" or "family." Explore your chosen theme in your fairy tale. You should write about a topic that is close to you personally or that you can approach from an unexpected angle.
- For example, choose the topic “family” and focus on your relationship with your sister. Write a story and center the story about your sister's birth or a related childhood memory.
Choose an unusual setting. In most fairy tales, events take place in a fictional world that combines reality and magic. Choose a location such as an enchanted forest or a cursed pirate ship. Try writing about real-life surroundings, but add magical elements to make the place quirky and different.
- For example, describe your area and mention a talking tree next to your home, or imagine vividly how this area will look in a hundred years.
Come up with an intriguing start. Basically, all fairy tales begin with the words "Once ..." or "Once upon a time ...". You can choose either a standard start or a more original version. For example, start like this: "Once upon a time there was a girl ..." or "In the world of the future, on the outskirts of the universe, there lived a guy ...".
- In the first line of text, introduce readers to the characters or setting. Thanks to this, they will immediately become interested in the plot and be transported into a fictional world.
Come up with unusual characters. In every fairy tale there are heroes, for whose fate the reader should worry. Usually, the hero becomes a simple person who changes or gains new strength as a result of a fabulous event. Try to endow your heroes with unusual powers or abilities that will help them defeat the villain.
- For example, make a single high school girl the heroine. She could get lost in a new area of the city and meet unusual or magical creatures there.
Identify the villain. In every fairy tale, there is a villain who represents the dark side. The villain can be a magical creature or a domineering person with unusual abilities. Such a villain usually comes into conflict with the main character and prevents him from achieving his goal.
- For example, make a magic bunny villain who hates people. He can actively interfere with your heroine in search of a way out of an unfamiliar part of the city.
Use simple, clear language. Typically, fairy tales are intended for all age groups - from toddlers to adults. The language of the tale should be simple and understandable for the reader. You should not use long and overloaded sentences or difficult and difficult to pronounce words.
- In fairy tales, the focus is usually on the characters, setting, and plot. Language fades into the background and gives way to the magical elements of the story.
Come up with a moral. Fairy tales teach the reader new things, teach an educational lesson. Morality does not always have to be obvious or expressed in words, but try to reach out to every reader through the characters, the plot, the surrounding situation.
Fairy tales I have always loved, and not only to listen, but also to compose. Why did I decide to write exactly about how to come up with a fairy tale myself? Firstly, as I said, I have been doing this for a long time, and I really like it! Why do I give advice? I did not send many fairy tales to the light, so to speak, but at least two of them found a response in the hearts of not only the readers, but also the impartial jury.
The first of them was written during a difficult period of my life, when my eldest son was seriously ill. It was a fairy tale "The Magic Land of Nestle", for which the Nestle company, which organized a fairy tale contest, presented me a washing machine for taking 1st place. Thanks to them to this day! At that time it was very, very important to me!
Another fairy tale was written not so long ago and participated in literary competition on the blog seteratura. I did not win a prize in that competition (rather, because I did not correspond to the competition task a little. After all, I had to write not a fairy tale, but an article in the epistolary genre). However, two members of the jury at once (my respected queens of words) awarded me with open links from their blogs (sometimes breaking the rules leads to victory! After all, at that time, these same links were very important to me), and the readers gave me to me "People's Choice Award"... Thanks to all of them !!!
And today I invite you visit a fairy tale, a fairy tale invented by you!
So, what is a FAIRY TALE?
Fairy tale- a lie, but there is a hint in it, a lesson for good fellows.
Fairy tale is a fictional story in which anything can happen that is unthinkable in real life, and which, as a rule, ends well and happily!
And they lived happily ever after!
A fairy tale is a kind helper in raising a child and yourself! With the help of a fairy tale, one can not only believe, but also embody magic and miracles in reality ...
A fairy tale can become a cherished magic wand in the hands of, oh, sorry, in the mouth of a caring mother. After all, she is the main pill in fairy tale therapy... What is fairy tale therapy? This treatment is a fairy tale. What diseases are treated with a fairy tale? A fairy tale treats severe and light forms of aprizites, nehochuhits and leniites... And besides, a fairy tale is the most pleasant medicine in all medicine, which everyone will like!
Every mother, by her nature, is capable of fairy tale therapy from birth. After all, the mother intuitively knows how and in what form to present the child with this or that life lesson. Why not mother's tale : trying to persuade the baby not to take off his hat on the street, to say that the ears must be hidden, otherwise the prankster wind will take and take away the ears for a while ... And what are we going to do without the ears? After all, in order to return them, you will have to drink bitter medicines and lie in bed all day ...
Every mother in her shower (she may not even know about it) is real and the best in the world storyteller.
Although, in principle, ANY PERSON CAN WRITE YOUR FAIRY TALE!
In order for your own fairy tale to be born, you need a little imagination, desire and time! Well, what shall we try?
So, advice number 1.
Wake up your imagination.
Imagination, like talent, slumbers in each of us. True, for some, it slumbers, and for others, it sleeps soundly. But this is fixable. The main thing is to believe in your creative streak and push it a little, and then, if you wish, it will slowly move along the rails of fabulous ideas, gradually accelerating its progress.
Imagination- this is the ability to see the unusual in the ordinary, the creation of images and plots, the revival of the inanimate and unreal. Imagination works on certain raw materials, the processing of which creates a fairy tale. Raw materials for the imagination can be found everywhere. These can be life situations (failures and problems, successes and achievements). The source of inspiration can be the paintings of artists, classical and modern music, images from the world of cinema and actually already well-known fairy tales. Solitude with nature is able to awaken ideas even in the head "tired" of worldly worries.
Talking to your child can help stimulate your imagination. With leading questions, the kid himself will answer what and how should happen in the fairy tale. Compose a fairy tale with children- fun and educational. After all, they have the most interesting and vivid imagination!
Unleash your imagination and revive the inanimate. Let the door speak, the bed starts playing before going to bed, or the road runs away from under your feet ...
Dream about yourself by describing the dream as a fairy tale. But! Attention! This method is able to bring a MIRACLE from unreality to reality and make your dream come true. So be positive!
And also awaken inspiration can be done through meditation. Meditation is relaxation of the body in order to "release" and control one's thoughts and emotions. During and after meditations, kind and gentle stories are born.
A magic mantra for inspiration will help you feel the state of flight and soaring. Fill your soul with energy, strength and inspiration.
Council number 2
Come up with a main character
The protagonist of the fairy tale- the pivot around which events and miracles revolve. The main character can be your child, or a boy or a girl, whose behavior is very similar to your baby. The main character can be a favorite toy, a cartoon character, an animal or a bird, a car, an ordinary bump, dishes, a table, a computer, a telephone. Anything!
Give the hero some common and unusual qualities. For example, to revive the table is already unusual in itself, but at the same time you can still do your homework on it, moreover, traveling around the world.
Tip # 3
Sketch a plan for a future fairy tale
That is, prepare in advance. Think about what or who your story will be about. What exactly do you want to convey to the listener. Write a plan. The plan should include:
- The beginning of the story (where? Who? When?)
- Incident (what happened? Conflict, problem)
- Overcoming difficulties (solving riddles, finding a way out of the situation)
- Outcome (return or other completion of the tale)
Of course, this is a very, very rough plan. Well, here is an example of the plan for the well-known fairy tale "Kolobok":
- House of grandparents. Grandfather asks grandmother to bake a bun.
- The baked gingerbread man comes to life and runs away.
- The gingerbread man successfully runs away from danger in the form of a hare, a wolf and a bear.
- And there is a hole in the old woman, the fox outwitted the kolobok.
A very interesting and easy planning of a fairy tale can be embodied in creating a baby fairy tale. Fairy tale - baby, this is a very small tale, a couple of paragraphs long. A baby fairy tale is invented literally on the go. For example: baby fairy tale about a balloon.
Once upon a time there was a ball. For a very long time, he lay small and deflated in a large box with other similar balloons, dreaming of seeing bright sunlight one day. And then one day, he was in the hands of a man. The man began to inflate him. The ball began to grow, becoming larger and larger. He was no longer wrinkled and ugly. Now it was a big red balloon, ready to fly into the sky. But man, gave it little child... And the kid was holding the ball firmly in his hand.
I liked the ball so much that he really didn’t want to play with the child. And all the time he tried to break free. And then a breeze blew, and the ball, taking advantage of the opportunity, twitched and escaped from small palms. The ball soared into the sky. And he flew higher and higher. He was so happy about his freedom that he began to laugh out loud. So much so that he could not stop until he burst and fell back to the ground ...
If you train on baby fairy tales, then over time you will easily come up with voluminous and interesting fairy tales!
Tip # 4
Redo an old tale
Take any fairy tale as a basis and change something in it. Introduce a new character into the fairy tale or endow the old one with new character traits or capabilities. For example, let Masha, lost in the forest, find herself not in the house of tidy bears, but in the house of three piglets. Or, the bun will not be appetizing and fragrant, but callous and angry, from which all the animals ran and hid, and only the fox came up with a way to save the forest dwellers (for example, return the bun to grandparents and make croutons out of it).
Children are always interested in what happens next? For example, who did Buratino become when he grew up? Or, what happened to Alyonushka and her monster husband after the wedding, and what would happen if the scarlet flower scattered the seeds and multiplied?
Or, take a number of associative words from a fairy tale and add some completely different word to them. For example, the tale "The Wolf and the Seven Kids". The associative array can be as follows: wolf, kids, goat, cabbage, voice and add a new word - phone. Well, what happens now in history?
Tip # 5
Play word games
The words- cells of a fabulous creation. You can play with them, maybe something new will be born.
Take two different words (you can ask someone to tell you words, or poke your finger at a book at random). And come up with a couple of stories with these words.
For example, take the words - castle and deer... Here are the plots you can think of:
1. A deer came to the princess's castle every day at the same time and tried to reach the apple tree behind the fence.
2. In the castle of one king there lived a beautiful deer who could speak.
3. Once upon a time there was an amazing deer that wore a whole castle on its horns.
Take contradictions and come up with a story. For example, fire and water, incomplete work and redistribution, a beautiful and ugly princess, a microplane and an airplane, a king and a servant, summer and winter.
Write out a few headlines from magazines, newspapers, and books. Stir and pick three of them at random. Find common ground and write a story. Sometimes from the seemingly gibberish itself, a brilliant work is born, for example, "Alice in Wonderland" by L. Carroll.
Conclusion
Find a listener and tell him a story
A storyteller definitely needs those who love fairy tales. Tell a fairy tale in simple words and simple sentences. Use vivid descriptive imagery and as many adjectives as possible. Play actively in intonation and voice, speaking louder and mysteriously quieter.
Tell your essay to your loved one, mom, friend, neighbor. And best of all to the most grateful listener - to kid! Tell it without even asking to rate it. You will see the assessment of your fairy tale in their eyes…. And most likely she will inspire you to new feats!
Meet my the last tale"Laughter Shop"! Perhaps it will become your starting point in the country of Good Storytellers!
The talent of a storyteller will not be born by itself. He is like a grain in the ground, in order to grow, he needs efforts and time. However, it is worth it to grow into a beautiful flowering tree one day. A tree that does not look like anyone else and is beautiful in its own way!
Here the fairy tales end, and who listened - Well done!
