Nikolai Pavlovich was an outstanding Soviet and Russian writer, screenwriter and journalist for many Soviet newspapers. Brother - Lolly Zadornov - half-mother, his father was Elena's first husband, who was an employee of one of the ministries. Young Lenochka knew him for a very long time, and she got married because she did not have money to study at the Krasnodar Music College. Lolly was eighteen years older than his half-brother, he became not a violinist and not a diplomat, as his mother wanted, but an ordinary worker.
Sister - Lyudmila Zadornova - six years older than her brother, was a very educated and persistent girl, it was she who made up the pedigree of her family and found all the surviving descendants. The woman played the piano and violin beautifully, but became an English teacher at one of the country's higher educational institutions.
Little Misha was a very active and talented boy, he studied at a music and art school. He was fond of not only literature, but also physics and chemistry. By the way, the guy graduated from a prestigious school in Riga, and first appeared on the stage in a fairy tale about Turnip, and it happened in the second grade, and it was this vegetable that Mishka played.

Zadorny's personal life was not too stormy, he got married quite early, barely graduated from college, but the marriage was destined to fall apart. At the same time, Mikhail had a beloved common-law wife, who gave birth to his daughter and was there until his death.
The most interesting thing is that in the personal life of the satirist there was another woman, Marina Orlova, whom he often called his muse. The woman was constantly next to Mikhail, since she worked on Channel One, was a producer and actress. Marina was thirty-eight years younger than Zadornov, and he considered her his second daughter and supported her in everything.

Mikhail's grandfather was supposed to be shot with his wife and nine-year-old daughter, but his family defended him so touchingly that they were left alive. At the same time, Melchior Pokorno-Matusevich deceived the guard and ate his own documents, so instead of being shot he went into exile, from which he returned in 1923 very sick.
Elena ran away from her first rich and influential husband to poor journalist Nikolai Zadornov. Mikhail's grandfather from his father's side, who worked in the village as a veterinarian, was repressed, he was sentenced to ten years and died in prison without waiting for rehabilitation in 1956.
Mikhail Zadornov has few children, namely his beloved daughter, whom his common-law spouse gave birth to. Dad spoiled little Lenochka with gifts and attention, and tried to give an excellent education.
Mikhail Nikolaevich often traveled all over the world, and to those countries where he wanted to visit since childhood, he took his daughter with him. That is why Lena visited the UAE and France, Germany and Austria, Greece and Israel, Africa and South America.
Zadornov believed that children should be brought up by their own example, talk to them on equal terms, pamper and show how a dream turns into reality.

The daughter of Mikhail Zadornov - Elena Zadornova - was born in a second civil marriage in 1990. She was named not in honor of her wife, as many people think, but in honor of the satirist's mother.
The girl was musical and incredibly flexible, she did vocals and gymnastics, and painted. At the same time, she entered GITIS, because she aspired to become a famous theater and film actress.
Lena loved to spend time with her father, because she was close to him, she attended most of his concerts. The girl herself tried to write stories, including humorous ones.
The ex-wife of Mikhail Zadornov - Velta Kalnberzina
The ex-wife of Mikhail Zadornov, Velta Kalnberzina, is the same age as her husband and his only legal wife. The girl was the daughter of the first secretary of the Latvian Communist Party. She studied with Misha in a parallel class, but did not pay attention to him.
The guy and the girl drew attention to each other while studying at the Moscow Aviation Institute. They got married in 1971. The woman has achieved a lot in life, she is a doctor of philological sciences.
Velta was fluent in foreign languages, including English. She was a professor at the Department of English Linguistics at Moscow State University. The marriage broke up in 1988, the reasons were the absence of children and Mikhail's betrayal.
The common-law wife of Mikhail Zadornov - Elena Bombina
The common-law wife of Mikhail Zadornov - Elena Bombina - appeared on the horizon of a satirist in 1988, she was sixteen years younger than her chosen one. The girl was constantly next to Mikhail Nikolaevich, since she had been his administrator since the eighties.
The satirist found the girl at one of the festivals, where she was an administrator and showed her high professionalism. A luxurious dark-haired princess in a stylish mini won the heart of the great Mikhail Zadornov, but many of their mutual friends and colleagues did not pay attention to it. The stormy romance between the young administrator and the humorist in the prime of life was mistaken for a short affair.
However, the novel developed into a long-term relationship and civil marriage, and a beloved and only daughter was born. The most interesting thing is that officially Mikhail Nikolaevich was still married to Velta Yanovna.
At the same time, Elena was also a talented photographer, she constantly arranged exhibitions of her own works, including international ones. Zadornov always and in everything helped her, and the woman was always there while her beloved was struggling with oncology.

He underwent long-term chemotherapy and canceled concerts after he was hospitalized with an epi-seizure from the Moscow stage.
The cause of death, oddly enough, was still associated with oncology. As the Latvian and German oncologists from the leading clinic "Charite" could not do anything.
It is worth noting that at the request of the date of death, from which Mikhail Nikolaevich Zadornov died, a short answer is given that the satirist died of brain cancer on 11/10/2016 at exactly fifteen minutes past nine in the morning. This tragic event took place in Moscow, he managed to confess and receive unction.

Family, childhood and adolescence
Mikhail Zadornov was born in the Latvian resort town of Jurmala. His father, Nikolai Pavlovich Zadornov, was a writer specializing mainly in historical subjects. Mom - Elena Melkhiorovna Matusevich - came from an old noble family, was a housewife.
While still in school, the future satirist began to get seriously involved in theater. According to some of his acquaintances, in one of the children's performances young Mikhail played the role of a turnip so masterly that he was repeatedly pulled out for an encore. The next role was a mummed bear in the production of Ostrovsky's "Profitable Place" - his character had no words, but Mikhail growled so convincingly that he was invited to the drama club on a permanent basis.
Despite the success in the acting field, after school, Mikhail Zadornov decided to enter the Riga Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers, since there was a good national handball team, and the future satirist was fascinated by this game from an early age. However, his further sports career did not work out - once during a training session, he fell and broke the meniscus.
Creative way
Zadornov wrote his debut literary work (the unpublished story "Point of Intersection") at the age of 18, having been on an expedition to the Kuril Islands (the plot was based on the impressions of the trip). Alas, the story did not make an impression on the editors of the magazine and was not published.
In 1969, Zadornov transferred to the second year of the Moscow Aviation Institute, which he graduated in 1974 with a diploma in mechanical engineering, along the way received an offer from the management to stay at the Moscow Aviation Institute as an employee. Mikhail agreed, but rather not because of the prospects of becoming a scientist, but for the sake of the youth theater "Russia" at the Moscow Aviation Institute, to which he devoted a substantial part of the student body: he was an actor, he himself acted as a playwright and director. Under his leadership, the theater gained fame in the Soviet republics and was awarded the Lenin Komsomol Prize. Mikhail Zadornov's life was connected with "Russia" until 1980.
Zadornov's first publications were published in 1974. The satirist was published within the Yunost magazine, and in 1984 he headed its department of satire and humor. However, already in 1985 he left the post, devoting himself to his own literary career.
The first performance of Zadornov. "A Student's Letter Home" (1982)
In 1982, Zadornov made his television debut with the monologue "A student's letter home" about the misadventures of an unlucky student. Two years later, he appeared in the program Around Laughter with the monologue "The Ninth Car". It was this life sketch of how two cars with the same number were mistakenly joined to the next train to Hungary, which later became Zadornov's calling card.
Mikhail Zadornov - "The Ninth Car" (1984)
The audience also fell in love with the bold at that time monologue "An Open Letter to the Secretary General" - about the preparation of the leadership of a small town for the visit of the Secretary General of the USSR. The very fact that this work, full of satire, was sounded from the TV screen, signaled changes in the socio-political life of the country. However, the feuilleton firmly settled in Zadornov's repertoire and sounded just as relevant even after many years.
In the late eighties, Mikhail Zadornov began working as an author of humorous texts for other artists. Many famous humorists have performed with his monologues, including Yevgeny Petrosyan, and Zadornov himself regularly shared new observations with his characteristic irony in new issues of Smekhopanorama, Full House and Satirical Forecast.
Mikhail Zadornov on the differences between Americans and Russians
In 1988, the first collection of stories by Zadornov, "Line 15 thousand meters long," was published, which was published as part of the anthology "The Crocodile Library". The following collection "The Mystery of the Blue Planet" was published in a circulation of 100 thousand copies.
A peculiar indicator of the artist's popularity was the fact that on December 31, 1991, it was Mikhail Zadornov, and not Boris Yeltsin, who had not yet had time to enter the presidency instead of Mikhail Gorbachev, who congratulated the inhabitants of the disintegrated state on the New Year.
Despite the fact that in his speeches the comedian often “applied” the country's leadership and the president himself, this did not prevent him from getting an apartment in the “nomenklatura” house on Osennaya Street, where Boris Yeltsin, Viktor Chernomyrdin, the head of the president’s security service, Alexander Korzhakov, and other high-ranking officials lived. officials. The fact is that the satirist often played tennis with Yeltsin and managed to make a good impression on the president.
In the nineties, he also tried himself as a screenwriter and film actor. One of Zadornov's most famous works was the film I Want Your Husband, filmed in 1992 according to his own script. The tape featured only three actors; in addition to Mikhail Nikolaevich, Ekaterina Voronina and Anna Dubrovskaya were involved in the filming. According to the plot, a young beauty Oksana declares to a woman named Elena, preparing for the celebration of a porcelain wedding, and offers to buy out Elena's husband, who, as it turned out, had been cheating on his wife for many years. Recognizable "Zadornov's" dialogues and subtly conveyed imprint of the outgoing era provided the film with the recognition and love of the audience.
A year earlier, he also appeared in the Latvian production "Depression" with a cameo role as an official, as well as in Viktor Sergeev's film "Genius" (cameo).
1997 was marked by the release of a four-volume edition, which included the best works of the satirist at that time. Since 2000, every year Zadornov has presented to the public at least two or three new concert programs. He invariably went on stage in a suit and with papers in his hands, and after the concert he showed the audience his stretching, getting up on the splits, or walked on his hands. His performance schedule was literally crazy: once he had to give as many as 8 concerts in one day.
American Stupidity (2016)
In the early 2000s, the leitmotif of Zadornov's speeches was the "American" theme. Zadornov's trademark phrase "Well, stupid!" and to this day on hearing. After the scandal with discrimination against the Russian Olympic team at the 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City, the satirist defiantly canceled his American visa. Subsequently, "amateur etymology" appeared in his repertoire, as well as frequent criticism of Russian education, the Unified State Exam and Education Minister Andrei Fursenko in particular.

In 2012 Mikhail Zadornov shot a pseudo-documentary film “Rurik. Lost reality ”, which was later shown by the REN-TV channel. The tape told about the confrontation between supporters of the "Norman theory" and those who argued that the Vikings could not rule Russia. His work was criticized, arguing that in recent years it was this pseudo-historical and frankly politicized approach that began to prevail in the work of the pop satirist.

Since the early 2010s, Zadornov has kept in touch with fans of his work via the Internet. In addition to the official website, the satirist had a blog on LiveJournal, a Youtube channel (Zador TV) and his own page on VKontakte. Quite a large part of the satirist's repertoire was made up of the so-called "observers" - notes from life sent by readers.
In 2016, Mikhail Zadornov, Alexey Kortnev and Dmitry Kolchin became co-hosts of the author's satirical show "Saltykov-Shchedrin Show". On the airtime, the presenters and guests joked about incidents from real life.
Personal life of Mikhail Zadornov
In his life, Mikhail Zadornov was officially married only once. His wife, Velta Yanovna Kalnberzina, the daughter of a high-ranking Latvian politician, studied with him at the same school, then was his classmate at the Moscow Aviation Institute. A beautiful and intelligent girl knew her worth, and therefore Mikhail had to win her heart for a long time. Young people met for a long time, and in the spring of 1971 they got married.
Relations in a young family went wrong at a time when the artist's career began to rapidly gain momentum. At this point, Mikhail Zadornov began dating Elena Bombina - a girl who was 16 years younger than the satirist, he met at one of his performances (she was an administrator at that festival) in the late 80s.
Subsequently, she became his common-law wife. In 1990, Mikhail and Elena had a daughter - Elena Zadornova, Zadornov's only child. Having inherited her father's artistic genes, she graduated from the Russian Academy of Theater Arts (RATI).
In 1998, Mikhail Zadornov, once a drinker, became a vegetarian and began to actively promote a healthy lifestyle, in particular, yoga. The satirist has repeatedly talked about his choice in the style of “amateur etymology”: “Meat in English sounds like meat: me (me) + eat (eat), that is,“ eat yourself ”. In addition, it has been proven that human DNA and pig DNA are in many ways similar, which means that pork kebabs are clearly not good for you. "
Zadornov also spoke about support for the Ringing Cedars of Russia movement, which promotes the ideology of the so-called "family estates" - plots of land no less than a hectare in size, on which members of one family can equip their homes in accordance with the rules of the eco-community.
Death of Mikhail Zadornov
In the fall of 2016, Mikhail Zadornov admitted to having serious health problems, because of which he had to leave the Saltykov-Shchedrin Show program and cancel concerts in the far corners of the country. He did not advertise the name of the disease, but very soon Andrei Malakhov in his program accidentally declassified the satirist's ailment - it turned out that Zadornov had brain cancer. Mikhail Nikolayevich did not deny the information, but asked the fans not to make a fuss, adding that he was undergoing chemotherapy and was trying to follow the precepts of Daria Dontsova: “The main thing is not to give up and keep yourself in good shape!”.
On October 23, Mikhail Zadornov became ill while performing at the Meridian Palace of Culture. He was taken by ambulance straight from the concert. Doctors recorded the man's epileptic seizure on a nervous basis.
At the beginning of 2017, Regina Dubovitskaya spoke about the state of the satirist, who said that Zadornov had undergone a serious operation and had a long course of treatment ahead of him. “He really wants to return to the audience and delight his fans with books,” she added.
Unfortunately, the treatment did not help, as did the conversion to the Orthodox faith (at the beginning of November, Mikhail received unction in the capital's church of the Life-Giving Trinity). On November 10, 2017, Mikhail Zadornov passed away. He was 69 years old.
Before his death, Mikhail Zadornov ordered to bury him at home, in the same grave with his father, and to support the Riga library named after Nikolai Zadornov.
On Zadornov's VKontakte page, where in the last months of his life, fans of the satirist left him thousands of wishes for recovery and warm words of support, they closed the comments. His secret concert is also located there - in the Capercaillie's Nest. A group of fans of his work continues to function. It is necessary to treat immediately, "the writer commented on the latest news about health on the social network VKontakte, without specifying what kind of disease he was diagnosed with.
Zadornov said where he is now, explaining that he will undergo treatment in one of the best clinics in the Baltic States. “I warn journalists: it's useless to call me, it's useless to look for me. And it is unlikely that this clinic will answer you something specific about me. It's also pointless to call my relatives. I didn't really tell them anything either, ”said the 68-year-old comedian.
Later, Zadornov denied rumors that he had incurable lung cancer and advised not to believe the "reliable newspapers" that write about it. Also, the writer had to "make excuses" that he is being treated in Latvia. “And now about criticism, they say, Zadornov stigmatizes the EU, and he went there for treatment. Let me explain: there are doctors who have been observing me for many, many years. And I have been living for a long time. And these doctors have preserved the best of Soviet medicine, and have not completely fallen under the EU protocol, ”Mikhail Zadornov replied to his critics.

Mikhail Zadornov - biography
In Soviet times, satire was regulated, it was far from possible to be ironic about everything. And our hero Mikhail Zadornov, during his creative biography, was never afraid of anyone: he could let go of a jab at the government and then get an apartment from him in an elite area ...
Mikhail Zadornov - family, childhood
Jurmala coast is a heavenly place, living there is very good and prestigious. The father of the future satirist is a successful writer, a mother from a noble family with roots going back to the Polish kings. There is money, the sea is close by, what else do you need? Child! In 1948, a son, Misha, was born in the family of Nikolai Zadornov and Elena Matusevich. Able and open-minded, he loved to learn and explore the world. From an early age, he already performed on stage with might and main, and after the role of a turnip in a school production, he was taken to a theater studio, from which he literally did not crawl out.
Mikhail Zadornov - study
Despite the apparent talent of his son, his father insisted that Misha go to study at the Riga Civil Aviation Institute. Zadornov Jr. entered there without difficulty, and later transferred to the Moscow Aviation Institute, where he distinguished himself not only for success in his studies, but also for his activeness in social activities. Plus, he sat down to literary work - in his story "Point of Intersection", an 18-year-old student reflected his impressions of a trip to the Kuril Islands.
They did not want to let such a student go, and after the institute they offered to stay in it to work. Mikhail himself did not want to leave the student theater, which he himself had created; things were going so well there that they even gave the Lenin Komsomol Prize! Zadornov was a playwright, director and ideological inspirer right up to 1980.
Mikhail Zadornov - Science fiction comedian
Zadornov began publishing in Soviet magazines at the age of 26. In "Youth" he even headed the section of satire and humor. And in the early eighties
got on television with his monologue "A student's letter home." But the monologue "The Ninth Car" became the hallmark of Mikhail - do you remember? - quite a life situation about how two cars with the same number were attached to the train. Not a single issue of "Smehopanorama", "Full House" and "Satirical Forecast" went without Mikhail - everyone was looking forward to his performance. But Zadornov was not greedy
- he gave his works to colleagues in the workshop, people did not even suspect that the jokes of Petrosyan and other humorists belong to the pen of Zadornov.
However, the most significant event in the artist's creative biography was his performance on New Year's Eve in front of the residents of the newly disintegrated country. On December 26, 1991, the Soviet Union ceased to exist. Citizens who had not yet recovered from the news that had fallen were very surprised when Mikhail Zadornov suddenly appeared on the screens instead of President Boris Yeltsin, who had not yet taken office.
It was he who made an appeal to the people, which the head of state always addresses. He sarcastically about the seceded Ukraine, free prices, democrats, economic reforms and market relations - everything that was so unusual in our ear. He delayed his performance for a whole minute, so even the chimes were delayed. This has never happened in the history of the country!
Mikhail Zadornov - Criticism of "stupidity"
In his speeches, the humorist was not shy in expressions about the powerful, but nevertheless he managed to win approval from Boris Yeltsin. They established contact, often playing tennis together, and later the president even gave the satirist an apartment - next to Chernomyrdin and himself. However, Zadornov always loved his native Latvia more. Despite the difficult situation in the country, he continued to work actively: he did not leave the screens, wrote scripts for films and even acted!
The beginning of the new century turned out to be the most fruitful in his career. He always went on stage in a suit and with a pile of papers, during the performance he could unexpectedly sit on a twine or stand on his hands and walk around the stage like that, slapping his feet. His schedule was just crazy - once he had to play 8 concerts in a day!
It was then that the main topic of his speeches was relations with America. The scandal at the Salt Lake City Olympics added fuel to the fire when the Russian national team was discriminated against. Because of this, Zadornov defiantly canceled the American visa, and barbs against America fell in rain. The phrase "Well, stupid!" became his trademark.
Of course, not only the Americans received from the artist. Ours were also subjected to harsh satire: Zadornov loved to sarcastically about the education system, the Unified State Exam and Minister Fursenko.
Mikhail Zadornov - biography of personal life
in his personal life, Mikhail was married only once. On her classmate and later classmate Velta Kalnberzin, the daughter of a high-ranking Latvian politician. They lived together for a very long time, but when the artist's career began to rapidly gain momentum, their marriage fell apart. And probably for the most banal of the reasons: Mikhail began to meet with another.
Elena Bombina was 16 years younger, and even worked as its administrator. Velta tried her best to save the family and turned a blind eye to the adventures of her husband, but ... After the divorce, Mikhail began to live with Elena. It was with her that the 42-year-old artist first became a father - with Velta they had no children, and the common-law wife Elena gave birth to a daughter, Lenochka. Elena Zadornova followed in her father's footsteps: the 26-year-old girl already has a RATI diploma.
Mikhail Zadornov today
In recent years, Mikhail still performs in the same way, despite his deteriorating health. With the advent of social networks, he began to actively communicate with fans who send him interesting stories based on events from his life. The artist reads some of them from the big stage. Another achievement of Zadornov was that it was he who discovered such a phenomenon as Maxim Galkin to the world. Who knows, if not for Zadornov, Alla Borisovna would not have simple female happiness now ...
