What is the real name of the Christmas tree singer? Singer Elka: biography of an extraordinary artist What is the real name of the singer’s Christmas tree
Singer Yolka is an extraordinary person. Everything about her is unusual - from her image to the way she performs songs. Bright, interesting, not like everyone else - this is precisely why she catches the viewer, it is precisely with her unformatted and originality that she stands out from the crowd. But how did she come to her success and how did her music career develop? What kind of person is this? What are your hobbies besides music? How old is the singer Yolka? We will deal with all these questions in our article today. However, it’s worth mentioning right away that the material in the opus is just a small fraction of what can be told about this mysterious and charming girl, so talented and efficient.
Singer Yolka: biography
Today the singer Yolka is a famous person. Her songs, familiar to a wide audience, are heard in numerous concert “hodgepodge” programs and occupy the top lines of various charts on domestic radio stations. Although there was a time when no one had heard of an extraordinary girl with good vocal abilities.
The real name of the singer Yolka is Elizaveta Ivantsiv. This is exactly what the heroine of our story is called in real life. She was born in the small Ukrainian city of Uzhgorod, it happened in the summer, July 2, 1982. And probably creative path was destined for the girl from above, since she was born into a family with musical history. My parents had a direct connection to music: my mother played several instruments, my grandparents sang in the Transcarpathian folk choir. Lisa also started her musical path from the choir, though from school. By the way, the nickname Yolka appeared in childhood, when a boy from a yard company called the future singer that as a joke. No one could have thought then that this name would soon glorify Elizabeth and bring her success, but for now...
Lisa studied at a secondary school, was, in general, an ordinary girl, really, very brave. She was not afraid to experiment with her appearance and, in general, was distinguished by ease of communication and an excellent sense of humor. She always knew how to laugh at herself.
After school I entered a music school and honestly tried to get an education. But... it didn’t work out. There was no contact with the teachers. They could not discern in the girl the individuality that lived within her. Relations with teachers can only be characterized as a complete lack of mutual understanding and the presence of constant conflicts. Lisa left the school six months later.
Work with Vladislav Valov
In the mid-1990s, Liza Ivantsiv began working in the Ukrainian music group“B&B” as a backing vocalist and for some time tried to develop in this direction. However, the idea failed. The team broke up, and the girl, whose dreams collapsed without having time to come true, decided to give up her intentions and... went to work as a waitress.
But, apparently, fate had other plans for her; she prepared a different path for Lisa. To confirm this, Vlad Valov, the leader of the Bad Balance group, soon appeared in the singer’s life. Lisa had known him before. They met at one of the music festivals, when the girl was still working as part of the B&B group.
The man invited Lisa to Moscow to “experiment” and try to make a joint project. As Yolka later admitted in a conversation with journalists, for a long time she thought that she was being played, and did not believe that such proposals could be something serious. However, she took a risk. I took a risk and didn’t make a mistake. In 2001, the girl signed a contract with her first producer, Vlad Valov. It was then that the singer Yolka was “born”; the biography of her work begins exactly from this moment. It must be said that the project bore fruit almost immediately, and the result of the joint work was not long in coming. Over the course of several years, Yolka recorded an impressive number of songs, which were later included in her debut collection “City of Deception.”
First successes
It should be noted that the musical genre in which Yolka worked was designed for a narrow circle of listeners. The songs she performed combined the styles of hip-hop, heavy guitar R&B and rock. That is, her music was not popular, but more alternative. However, the fans liked the album, music critics were also not stingy in their assessments, and Yolka received her first success. She became a popular person. The songs received rotation on radio stations, and the singer herself became an RMA Award nominee on MTV. Further more. A year later, Yolka’s second album, “Shadows,” was released. In 2007, the song “Handsome Boy” was awarded the Golden Gramophone Award.
Over the next two years, the singer continued to work actively. She released her third collection of music, “This Wonderful World,” and was actively searching for musical material for the fourth.
2009 was a landmark year for Lisa. The contract with Vladislav Valov ended, and the joint work of the singer and producer was put to an end. At the same time, there was a slight decline in Yolka’s work. The girl could not shake the feeling that she had reached a dead end. The moment of rethinking has come, a turning point in my career.
New style in creativity
In 2011, the artist decided to change her course and focus on popular music. The girl plunged headlong into the process. What is most interesting is that working in a new genre did not affect musical abilities singers. The voice is a musical instrument that Lisa masterfully masters, and the performance of songs that were different in style did not in any way worsen the impression of the artist, it’s just that the music that poured out of her like a magical stream began to sparkle with completely new colors. Songs “Provence”, “On the Bolshoi” hot-air balloon" and "Near You", which became hits, confirm all of the above.
In one of her interviews with the Russian music site “Zvuki.ru”, which closes the top three most visited and cited portals on the Runet, Lisa admitted: she does not regret at all that a completely different singer Yolka appeared before the listener. The biography of the pop singer does not make her unattractive in the eyes of her fans. This is not at all shameful, but very cool.
The performer’s new musical creations received awards from various musical events, and thanks to this, the singer herself found herself in the tabloids of glamor magazines and lists of successful figures in Ukrainian show business and simply popular and recognizable people.
In general, Lisa is an open person. Often journalists are afraid of meeting her, thinking that she is a sarcastic and caustic girl. However, during the conversation it turns out that this is not the case at all, and you can talk to Lisa on any topic. She has a great sense of humor and is not shy about answering a variety of questions, such as: “What kind of men does she like?” or “How old is the singer Yolka?”
It must be said that the changes in the artist’s life did not come out of nowhere. Not only a creative crisis, but also one important meeting served as an impetus for development in a new direction. One day, Lisa was invited to an interview on a program on Alla radio, where the singer, in fact, had the opportunity to talk with Pugacheva. The meeting of two creative women was not in vain for Yolka. Of course, nothing special happened there, just a conversation with the prima donna of the Russian stage made the girl, as she herself would later tell, rethink some things and look at everything in a new way. This conversation set a new vector for the singer’s movement towards her goal.
Creative biography
After Yolka stopped working with Vlad Valov, she found new producers - Liana Meladze and Alena Mikhailova from Velvet Music.
It must be said that, in addition to playing music, the singer led a very busy and active life - she took part as a jury member in several seasons of the television project “X-Factor”, starred in the video for the song “Compose Dreams” by her colleague Vladi, member of the group "Casta". And, by the way, Red Cap in the Russian dubbing of the cartoon “The True Story of Red Cap” also speaks in the voice of Yolka.
In April 2012, an important event took place in the musical life of Lisa Ivantsiv, as for any ambitious artist - the singer gave a concert at the Olimpiysky sports complex. A lot of work was done and the concert was a great success. In September of the same year, singer Yolka began her concert tour of Russian cities. The biography of her work expanded through collaboration with rappers Noize MC and Zhara, the groups Megapolis and Burito. In addition, the girl’s life included filming episodic roles in the film “Gentlemen, Good Luck!” and the TV series “Fight”, the sitcom “SASHATANYA”, the films “This is Love!”, “A Gift with Character”, “About Love”.
Singer Yolka: personal life
I must say that today the singer has a lot of work and even more plans for the future. Yolka constantly tours with a group of musicians, including a guitarist, bassist, keyboard player, drummer and DJ. Also involved in the singer’s performances dance group Loonyband, whose members choreograph dance routines and help set up the stage.
In the personal life of Lisa Ivantsiv, everything is also good. Since 2010 she has been married to Sergei Astakhov. He is a non-public person, just a good guy from the Moscow region, although the young people met in Moscow. The singer’s friends say that the artist’s family is a matriarchy, and all important decisions are made by Yolka. The singer, for whom children are still only in the plans, tries to work hard. By the way, Lisa is the main breadwinner in the family. Recently the guys acquired real estate in Moscow, as well as a plot of land outside the city where they plan to build a house. The couple has a very touching relationship, permeated with care for each other. And this is noticeable from the outside even with the naked eye.
Christmas tree - unique singer on Russian stage. The surprising thing is that having appeared in the domestic pop sea as a completely alternative musician, she eventually attracted a lot of attention. wide range listeners. And to this day, in his work, which today can probably already be classified as pop music, he allows himself to easily switch to soul, reggae, rock and rhythm and blues, while not only remaining interesting and understandable to a large public, but and becoming her favorite. Today, according to many, Elka is one of the most popular singers in Russia.
Lisa Ivantsiv (the singer's real name) was born in the small Ukrainian city of Uzhgorod into a diversely musical family, where her father collected jazz, her mother played several instruments, and both grandmothers sang in a folk choir. So from birth the girl grew up in an atmosphere of good music. Apparently, it was at this time that she developed a unique taste in music. It would seem that it’s time to go to the music and move on. However, in the singer’s life everything turned out much more interesting. Instead of music school she went to the vocal circle of the House of Pioneers, and already with school years began playing in KVN, where she found use for both her strong voice and creative thinking, which nature fully endowed her with.
Not like everyone else - this is definitely about Elka. Since her school years, the girl has been experimenting on herself. She either dyed her hair red or cut her hair bald. She dressed all in black, but traded the gothic image for a leather jacket and studs. She either decorated herself with piercings or got tattoos. Needless to say, such an extraordinary personality acquired a large number of loyal friends during her youth, but at the same time she could not get along with her teachers. This, by the way, was the reason that the undoubtedly talented singer, whose voice is so professional that music critics compare her with either Zemfira or Zhanna Aguzarova, has no music education. At one time, she entered a music school, but she herself was forced to leave it, not finding a common language with any of the teachers. But otherwise everything went fine, thanks to this Elka did not leave music. After leaving the music school, she immediately began singing in the local Uzhgorod group “B&B”, taking the place of vocalist.
As part of this group in 2001, Elka was noticed by the man who played in it. creative biography decisive role. Producer Vlad Valov. Having met Valov by chance, the singer soon forgot about him, especially since the group in which she sang collapsed. Disappointed with everything and everyone, Elka decided to quit music and got a job as a waitress in a cafe. And now, three years later, Valov appeared in her life again - now to invite her to Moscow. “Moreover, the meeting with Vlad took place at the moment when I finally forbade myself from even dreaming of a big stage. Then I was possessed by youthful maximalism, I was indignant at what I saw on the TV screen. I couldn’t understand why many artists, not knowing how to sing and not having a good repertoire, regularly appear on air? I thought: “Give me at least a folding phone in this city, and I’ll show you what a real artist is!” the singer later recalled about this episode.
She eventually went to Moscow in 2004. And indeed, she soon “showed” it to everyone. The debut album, written for Elka by Valov, was called “City of Deception.” With him, the singer literally “blew up” the Moscow public in 2005. True, to begin with, only club material - musical material that was painfully difficult for the mass listener was presented in the album. But Moscow music lovers, and most importantly, critics were very pleased, seeing in the singer’s repertoire “elements of both r’n’b and rock, reggae, chanson and pop,” but at the same time recognizing it as intended “not so much for fans of some Of these styles, how many appeal to a wide audience.”
After the album “City of Deception”, Elka was declared “Supernova”, and she soon confirmed this title.
Further in Yolka’s work, all events take place before the eyes of the general public. Several more equally musically interesting albums are making her more and more famous. At the same time, the Christmas tree itself is gaining popularity points. The singer gives very interesting interviews, including visiting Alla Pugacheva on Radio Alla. Appears in popular concerts. He makes videos and participates in TV shows. In terms of music, Elka is becoming increasingly simpler. In 2010, she broke off relations with her fateful producer Vlad Valov. The breakup, however, did not harm her popularity at all. In the same year, the singer began working with producers Liana Meladze and Alena Mikhailova from Velvet Music. As a songwriter, she now collaborates with the Ukrainian author Egor Solodovnikov, who writes several hits for her, quickly occupying the highest positions in the charts. The songs “Provence”, “On a Big Balloon” and “Near You” in style, of course, already belong to simple pop music, but they quickly break all popularity records. And Elka is celebrating 2013 as the officially recognized most popular singer in Russia. Should we regret the departure of the “musical phenomenon” from “musical complexity” or rejoice at the success? popular singer, each listener will decide for himself. The main thing is that in her person the Russian public definitely received a quality product - a truly talented artist.

On July 2, 1982, in Uzhgorod (Ukraine), a girl was born into the Ivantsiv family, who was named Elizaveta. Each member of this family, in one way or another, was related to music: the mother was fluent in several musical instruments, the father collected compositions by jazz musicians, and grandparents sang in a folk choir.
It is not surprising that from an early age Lisa, who had a loud, ringing voice, began to attend a vocal club at the Palace of Pioneers.
As a teenager, Ivantsiv was seriously interested in soul music, and often attended music festivals in European countries. The girl's first fame came in hometown: In high school, she was a member of the popular KVN team, which allowed her to demonstrate her vocal abilities. By the way, even then the girl used the pseudonym Elka.
After graduating from school, Lisa decided to devote herself entirely to music and entered the vocal department at a music school, but stayed there for only six months. According to the singer, she could not find mutual language with teachers and chose to leave the walls educational institution before they try to kick her out. The stumbling block was appearance Lisa, who always tried to shock the public: she wore excessively bright makeup, shaved her head bald, and decorated her body with tattoos and piercings.
Lisa began her ascent to the musical Olympus by getting a job as a backing vocalist for the B&B band. The group composed in the style of rap and R'n'B, and enjoyed some popularity among fans of this genre.
In 2001, the group took one of the prizes at the Moscow RAP MUSIC festival, and was noticed by the famous producer SHEFF - Vlad Valov. However, for some reason, the first acquaintance grew into creative collaboration only three years later.
By that time, Lisa had already given up hopes of becoming famous singer And seriously thought about ending my unsuccessful life completely musical career . A real shock for her was a call from Vlad Valov, who invited her to Moscow to perform his famous song “Bitch-Love” at a concert dedicated to the memory of Micah.
CHEF was able to discern great creative potential in Lisa, and he immediately signed a contract with her. He suggested that the girl change her pseudonym, but Elka flatly refused to do so. She explained her refusal by saying that she had long since become familiar with her pseudonym, and had almost forgotten what her passport name was.
Cooperation with the Moscow producer bore fruit - in 2005 the debut album of the aspiring singer “City of Deception” was released, which quickly gained popularity. All lyrics and music were written by Vlad Valov, who also did the arrangement.
The album turned out to be very multifaceted; in fact, it was a bold experiment with various musical genres, and it turned out to be very successful.
Elka consolidated her popularity by performing the song “Girl Student,” which was broadcast on all radio stations in the country. The singer’s second album, entitled “Shadows,” could not repeat the success of her debut album, but took its rightful place in the singer’s creative collection. As before, most of the compositions belonged to Vlad Valov.
In 2008, the singer pleased fans of her talent with the release of her third album. “It's a Wonderful World” was distinguished by lighter and more positive works, creating a feeling of lightness after listening. This was the last album in which CHEF was the songwriter. Elka, feeling empowered, decided to change her own style and work with other authors and composers.
According to the singer, such a decision had been brewing in her for a long time, but she was able to take a decisive step after a conversation with Alla Pugacheva, who advised her to expand her creative boundaries.
Elka chose the Velvet Music company, in collaboration with which she recorded a new album, “The Dots Are Placed,” which had a softer sound. The real hits from this album were the compositions “Around You” and “Provence”. A large team took part in the work on the singer’s new project, which boldly experimented with various musical styles and directions.
This period of searching for a new sound became incredibly successful in creative life Elki: her popularity grew day by day, she toured a lot throughout Russia.
In addition, Elka’s experiments with clothing style were successful. She began wearing elegant dresses and suits, quickly gaining fame as a style icon in Russian show business.
In 2014, the singer presented a new album called “Fake Love,” which included previously unreleased compositions by Vlad Valov, as well as several new tracks recorded together with Velvet Music. A year later, Elka delighted her fans with the release of her next album “#SKY”, which was highly appreciated by both music critics and ordinary listeners. In total, Yolka’s discography includes 5 albums:
- "City of Deception" (2005);
- "Shadows" (2006);
- "It's a Wonderful World" (2008);
- “The dots are in place” (2011);
- “#Heaven” (2015).
2016 gave the singer a joint performance with her longtime idol, Ilya Lagutenko. She dreamed of singing with him on the same stage, but did not think that this dream could be realized in life. The musicians performed the song “Don’t Part With Your Loved One,” which became the soundtrack to the film “Yolki.”
Despite her busy schedule, Elka managed to try herself as an actress, starring in such films as “The True Story of Little Red Riding Hood”, “”, “What Love!”, “The Fight”. Currently, the singer leads an active touring life, often appearing on television as a guest of honor or host of many popular shows.
Despite the increased interest in her own person, Elka somehow miraculously manages to hide the details of her personal life from the ubiquitous journalists.
But, despite the singer’s secrecy, it became known that she had been married to Sergei Astakhov for several years, who had nothing to do with show business. The spouses first met in their youth, but a spark of passion flared up between them a few years later, during a chance meeting in Moscow at one of the parties.
Unfortunately, the marriage could not stand the test of financial difficulties, and the couple separated. You can read more about the personal life of singer Yolka.

2001-2005: Beginning of career and album “City of Deception”
The story of Cinderella still takes place in my life. Moreover, the meeting with Vlad took place at the moment when I finally forbade myself from even dreaming of a big stage. Then I was possessed by youthful maximalism, I was indignant at what I saw on the TV screen. I couldn’t understand why many artists, not knowing how to sing and not having a good repertoire, regularly appear on air? I thought: “Give me at least a flip phone in this city, and I’ll show you what a real artist is!”
Christmas tree about the beginning of cooperation with Vlad Valov.
In 2001, the group “B&B” performed at the international festival Rap Music"01, where Yolka was noticed by Vlad Valov, leader of the group Bad Balance, who later became the singer’s first producer. After the group broke up, and the singer did not appear on stage for some time. In During this time, she gave up her dream of becoming an artist and got a job as a waitress in a cafe. Three years later, Yolka received a call from Valov's company. The singer said that for a long time she thought that she was being played, but then she talked with Vlad, who sent her tickets to Moscow and offered: “Come for a week, we’ll experiment.” Vlad Valov signs a contract with Yolka and one of the first songs recorded with him was “Words Spoken by You,” included in the collection “Girls Attack.”
In 2004, Yolka performed in a concert on Mikhei’s memorial day with her group, which also included two guitarists and DJ Lenar. At the concert, Yolka performed Micah’s song “Bitch-Love.” “It was a deliberate move. I didn’t just sing this song. It was dedicated to the evening in memory of Micah, I performed the composition especially for his parents. Of course, there were a lot of rumors, but still more positive feedback. I always emphasize that this is not a commercial move, but a tribute to a person,” the artist later said. Continuing her collaboration with Valov, the singer recorded a song composed by him, “City of Deception.” “Vlad, looking at me, wrote the song “City of Deception,” a song that is my reflection,” the singer recalled. The composition was released on the radio in the summer of 2004 and became Yolka’s first hit, hitting the hit parade of the Maximum radio station and having stayed there for twelve weeks.
On November 9, 2005, the performer’s debut album, entitled “City of Deception,” was released. Work on the disc, released on the 100PRO label, was completed in mid-2005 and, as the performer said, the disc was written “in one breath.” Yolka presented music in different styles, which was classified as rock (due to the guitar parts) and hip-hop (due to the “broken” rhythms and scratches). The singer herself described her style as “heavy guitar R&B.” NewsMusic.ru wrote that “this is the first time such a mix has been done in Russia.” The album was met with varying opinions. Rita Skeeter at InterMedia responded positively to the work, saying: “Yolka and Valov have found a way to make this genre truly competitive even in our market with its national characteristics" Andrey Nikitkin wrote in Rap.ru that Yolka is still a pop project, but “of very high quality. It incorporates elements of both r"n"b and rock, reggae, chanson and pop. And it’s aimed not so much at fans of any of these styles, but at a wide audience.” Boris Barabanov in the Kommersant newspaper also spoke about the singer as the main hope of Russian pop music.
Yolka is a popular Ukrainian-Russian singer, performing very original and diverse music, born in Transcarpathia, Uzhgorod on July 2, 1982.
Childhood
Elka’s musical future was practically predetermined by birth - the girl was born into a family where everyone was fond of music. My father loved jazz and collected records. best performers. Mother played several musical instruments. Even my grandparents were regular participants in the popular choir.
It is not surprising that Elka (by the way, this is the artist’s childhood nickname, which she later chose as her stage name), also began singing and playing music very early, demonstrating the excellent abilities that she inherited. At school she performed with a children's choir, and in high school she became interested in KVN and even joined the Uzhgorod national team.
One of her school friends christened Lisa Ivantsiv the Christmas tree. But the nickname stuck to her so much that even her relatives eventually stopped calling her by name. Moreover, the girl’s character fully matched his in terms of prickliness. Her relationships with teachers were especially difficult.
Elka could only study at school what interested her. During boring lessons, she tried to entertain herself as best she could, for which she often got caught. The parents were not very strict about their favorite’s pranks, realizing that after school she would also take up music. Moreover, already in high school she began to seriously study vocals.
Carier start
The beginning of Elka’s artistic career can hardly be called successful. After receiving her certificate, she went to a local music school to continue studying academic singing. But, brought up on quality modern music, the girl even tried to perform the classics in her own way, in an interesting reading. Conflicts with teachers grew like a snowball. And, unable to withstand the pressure, the future singer simply dropped out of school.
Fortunately for herself, she quickly managed to find a place as a backing vocalist in the fairly popular Uzhgorod group “V&V”. She performed a lot with the group, gained stage talent and even managed to appear at several music festivals.
But, of course, this was far from the limit of her dreams. Although, on the other hand, Elka understood that without connections or big money she couldn’t get to the pop Olympus.
And at that moment, when she was ready to finally say goodbye to the dream of the big stage, life gave her a chance to come true. At one of the performances, she was noticed by Vlad Valov, who at that time was working with the group Bad Balance. But then the musician was busy with his own career.
And Elka, due to the collapse of the group “B&B”, soon left the stage and went to work as a waitress in order to somehow provide for her own life.
She was extremely surprised when, almost three years after the meeting, she was given an envelope from Valov, which contained tickets to Moscow and an offer to work with a completely new musical direction. Naturally, Elka, without a moment’s hesitation, decided to use this chance and soon found herself in the capital with one small suitcase.
Finally success
Elka’s “baptism of fire” took place on a big stage soon after her arrival. At a memorable concert dedicated to the work of Mikhei, Elka talentedly performed the song “Bitch-Love,” which literally moved his parents to tears. The singer was noticed, but they reacted differently. Some considered such an appearance to be arrogant PR, others supported the young performer.
Seeing that the public's reaction to Elka, although ambiguous, was quite stormy, Valov signed a contract with her and began actively promoting the future star. The debut song “City of Deception” appeared on several radio channels at once and literally broke through to the top of the charts. The Christmas tree was quickly talked about throughout Moscow.
A year later, the singer’s first full-length solo album of the same name was released, which quickly sold out. But he didn't make it super popular, since it was truly a musical experiment. For ordinary people, her music was a little heavy.
There were different mixed musical styles: rock, rap, pop and even chanson. But connoisseurs of good music enjoyed attending the concerts of Yolka, who began to actively tour.
In collaboration with Valov, over the next 5 years, Elka released several high-quality music albums, which brought her many prestigious awards and prizes from Russian and international festivals. However, even her most ardent fans began to become “boring” of Yolka’s original, but too recognizable music. Who knows if her star would not have set back in 2010, if not for a new accident.
Transformation
I have always tried to support truly talented young performers. And although Elka could hardly be called a beginner, by the age of 29 she had not become a real pop star. However, appreciating the girl’s talent and unusual manner of performance, Pugacheva invited her to Radio Alla, where they recorded an interview.
The conversation with the prima donna changed a lot in the girl’s worldview. The questions asked of her made the artist seriously think about what could be changed and improved in her own repertoire. As a result, after about six months of work, completely new songs appeared, which became a symbol of the rebirth of the Christmas tree: “Provence”, “In a Balloon”, “Boy”.
Bright, positive, very memorable, they again returned Yolka to the first steps of the charts. Her popularity significantly increased through her participation in the Ukrainian show “X Factor” as a judge and mentor, where she showed not only her musical professionalism, but also revealed her personal qualities.
Today, Elka is a popular and successful performer. She performs a lot and goes on big tours every year. She has her own small musical, but friendly and very professional team, which constantly accompanies her on her trips. Elka has repeatedly emphasized that she values each of her musicians very much, and the guys answer her in the same way.

Elka herself has said more than once that her entire personal life is music. Nevertheless, there was an attempt to start a family. Her husband was an old acquaintance, Sergei Astakhov, whom she met back in Uzhgorod, and later they got married, and her husband moved to Moscow with her.
Astakhov failed to realize himself in the capital, and perhaps he did not strive for this too much, since Elka quickly became popular and her earnings were quite enough for a decent life and even travel. Having become a self-sufficient artist, Elka made her husband her musical director, but he treated these responsibilities without much enthusiasm, believing that Elka could do an excellent job on her own.
