Interesting stories about the works of Nikolai Nosov. Obituary of Nikolai Nosov
Life path Nosova.
All adults and children have known the works since childhood of such a famous and wonderful writer as Nikolai Nikolaevich Nosov. Even at school, many of his works are studied, and every child, from infancy, becomes acquainted with his Dunno. But here's life, and creative path It was quite difficult to put together.
Nikolai Nosov was born on the twenty-third of 1908 in Kyiv. His father was a pop actor. Even in early childhood, the boy Kolya amazed everyone not only with his mobility, but also with his completely diverse hobbies: chess, theater, music. He even tried to compose poetry on his own. Most of all, little Kolya liked to attend pop performances, where his father was transformed and became a completely different person.
Despite the fact that the family’s financial condition was not favorable, they still bought a violin for the boy, but Kolya’s diligence was only enough for a few lessons, and then it was simply abandoned. But at school he was only able to study until the 7th grade, and then he had to go to work so that the family would not die of hunger. Therefore, Kolya’s entire further education took place independently. Working as a simple worker at one of the factories in his city, he very soon studied the ten-year education program and was educated no less than others.
But at the same time, Nosov also developed another passion – chemistry. Together with similar friends who are passionate about chemistry, they create their own chemical circle. Nosov thinks that this is his calling for life. But it turns out that he cannot receive any chemical education, since he studied at school for only 7 years.
But still he has the opportunity to enter the Kyiv Art Institute, where he studies for several years, starting in 1927, and then transfers to the same faculty, but in Moscow. He is given the opportunity to complete his successful higher education. This excellent education received gave Nikolai Nosov a new opportunity: to become a director. His work is now connected with Soyuzkino.
He gets married, a child appears in the family, to whom he begins to tell stories he has invented. This activity captivates Nikolai so much that very soon his first story, written for his son, is published in Murzilka. Then another and another.
But his work included not only stories for children, but also satire and even autobiographical works. His cheerful Dunno is familiar to the whole world, and many of his works have been translated into a variety of languages.
Nikolai Nikolaevich Nosov died in 1976, July twenty-sixth. Throughout his life, he did many good deeds with his creativity, was awarded, had a title and was remembered by everyone as a kind and sympathetic person.
Whatever you say, Nosov is the most suitable surname for a writer, especially for a children’s writer, and even more so for a cheerful children’s writer. Just listen: N o s o v - simple, easy and a little funny. Okay, overall. And it’s even better if the writer himself matches his last name.
Nosov really had a nose, and it was not small at all, it was large and noticeable, and he had a large head and broad shoulders... And all this did not fit at all with his short stature and quiet, muffled voice. At first glance, he is an unprepossessing person. Very silent, very reserved. Others called him "gloomy grumbler". But what did they know, these others? They probably haven’t even read his books. And it should. However, it's never too late to start.
“Bobik, hurry up and eat some jelly! - Barbos shouted.
Bobik came running:
- Where is the jelly?
- Yes, here it is on my back. Lick it.
Bobby, let him lick his back.
- Oh, and delicious jelly! - speaks.
Then they brought the pie to the table. They themselves also sat on the table to make it more comfortable. They eat and talk.
- You have a good life! - says Bobik. - You have everything!
“Yes,” says Barbos, “I live well.” I do what I want: I comb my hair if I want, I play on TV, I eat and drink what I want, or I lie on the bed.
- Does your grandfather allow you?
- What is grandfather to me! Just think! This is my bed.
- Where does grandfather sleep?
“Grandfather is there, in the corner, on the rug...”
How could a gloomy grumbler write something so funny? Or maybe the widespread opinion is true that all the funniest comedians, as a rule, are irritable, gloomy and almost evil people? Maybe that's true, but not in this case.
Nikolai Nikolaevich Nosov was truly an uncommunicative and reserved person. But it came from some special delicacy, vulnerability and even self-doubt. Which seems strange, because by nature he had very diverse talents, as evidenced by his many hobbies.
"IN school years dreamed of becoming a musician (something like Paganini at least), then he abandoned the violin, became interested in chemistry and was quite seriously preparing to enter the chemistry department of the Polytechnic Institute; just before entering, he changed his mind and entered the Art Institute instead of the Polytechnic... He graduated from the Institute of Cinematography, then worked in cinema, then became a children’s writer.” So he will write about his “throwings” in his autobiography. But, as always, he will write about himself very briefly. In order to fill these dry words with colors and sounds, it is worth opening his story “The Secret at the Bottom of the Well.” And to see the small village of Irpen not far from Kiev, where the small family of either a railway worker or an actor (depending on the circumstances) Nikolai Nosov lived at that time, and where his middle son, also Nikolai, literally took his first steps. Soon the family moved to Kyiv - it was time to enroll the boys in the gymnasium. And just a few years later, the civil war began. Hunger, typhus, death - everything fell to their lot. And I’ve already told you about all this famous writer Nikolai Nikolaevich Nosov in his latest book. The story “The Secret at the Bottom of the Well” was published as a separate edition after the author’s death, in 1978.
And exactly forty years before that, his first story, “Entertainers,” was published. At this time, N.N. Nosov was still working in cinema and continued to work there until 1951, directing a variety of films (animated, scientific, educational) films. But at the same time he wrote funny stories for children and about children, which increasingly appeared in the magazines “Murzilka”, “Koster”, “Zateinik” and on the pages of the newspaper “Pionerskaya Pravda”. They appeared and immediately became incredibly popular. The secret of the readership excitement was explained quite simply. First in short stories, and then in “big” stories (“The Cheerful Family”, 1949; “The Diary of Kolya Sinitsyn”, 1950; “Vitya Maleev at School and at Home”, 1951) Nikolai Nikolaevich so skillfully hid behind little heroes that it seemed as if they themselves, without any participation from the author, were talking about their lives, about sorrows, joys, problems and dreams. So, directly, without intermediaries, the characters and the reader found each other and talked, and laughed together, and argued, and became friends.
Probably for the same reason, Nosov’s heroes later easily migrated to films and plays, remaining there as the most ordinary “non-fictional” boys - fidgets, inventors and dreamers.
Over time, all these heroes were joined by another one, this time a fairy tale one. Dunno came himself and brought with him a whole horde of cheerful and noisy shorties, who chose three of Nosov’s books as their permanent place of residence: “The Adventures of Dunno and His Friends” (1953-1954), “Dunno in the Sunny City” (1958) and “Dunno on the Moon" (1964-65). There they settled in perfectly and did whatever they wanted: quarreled, made peace, flew on hot-air balloon, went on space travel and even took part in the revolution on the Moon.
But even these “fictional” fairy-tale shorts looked suspiciously like their little readers. Especially Dunno. Just like a tomboy who, because of his own inability and arrogance, ends up in the most different stories. That's why he was loved the most. And not only to our (then Soviet) children, but also to foreign ones, since through the efforts of translators he very soon spoke many languages of the world. Even in Japanese!
So, if you happen to find yourself in Japan, don’t be particularly surprised when you see the Dunno cafe. Come in calmly - you will definitely be met there by an old, kind and cheerful friend.

THE SECRET AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WELL: Tale / Preface. M. Bremener. - M.: Det. lit., 1978. - 303 p.
This last book Nikolai Nosov. And for him it’s not quite ordinary - sad, sad. And although there is a lot of humor in it, its tone is not at all cheerful. Probably because Nosov talks about his childhood and youth, which occurred during the terrible years of the civil war and post-war devastation.

Nosov Nikolai Nikolaevich (11/10/1908-07/26/1976) - Soviet film screenwriter, playwright, children's writer- prose writer Laureate of the Stalin Award, 3rd degree (1952). He is mostly known as a children's writer, the author of works about the adventures of Dunno.
Biography of Nikolai Nikolaevich Nosov
He was born on November 10 in the city of Kyiv in 1908, in the family of a pop artist, who, depending on the circumstances, also worked as a railway worker. His childhood was spent in the town of Irpen, not far from Kyiv, where the boy studied at the gymnasium.
Nikolai was the second son in the family. In addition to him, the family had an older brother named Peter, and a younger sister and brother. Nikolai loved to attend his father’s performances, watch plays and concerts. The parents even thought that the boy also wanted to become an actor. At school, he wanted to become a musician in the future and dreamed of a violin for a long time. After acquiring the violin, Nikolai realized that learning music was not easy, and the violin was abandoned.
Nikolai Nosov's school years and childhood occurred during a rather difficult period in Russian history: the Civil War and the First World War. Lack of heat, lack of food and electricity in the freezing winter; illnesses were a common occurrence in those times. The whole family suffered from typhus, but fortunately no one died. Nikolai recalled that when he came to his senses (and he was sick the longest), his mother wept with joy because everyone remained alive. “So I learned that you can cry not only from grief.”
From his high school years, Nosov was interested in amateur radio, electrical engineering, photography, chess, theater and music. In order to feed his family, which lost a stable income due to the Great October Revolution, he was forced to work from the age of 14: he was a mower, a digger, a newspaper merchant, etc. After 1917, the gymnasium was reorganized into a seven-year school. After finishing it in 1924, he worked in Irpen as a laborer at a concrete plant, then in the city of Bucha at a private brick factory.
Nikolai after Civil War became interested in chemistry. He, along with school friend created a chemical laboratory in the attic of the house, where friends organized various experiments. Nikolai recalled: “After graduating from school, I was sure that I should not become anything other than a chemist! I thought of chemistry as the science of sciences.” Nikolai planned to enroll in the chemistry department of the Kyiv Polytechnic University, but was unable to do so because he did not graduate from a specialized school that provides a completed secondary education. As a result, I decided to go to work at the Irpen brick factory. However, he changed his mind, and at the age of 19 he entered the Art Institute of Kiev. At that time, Nosov became very interested in photography, and then cinema. This influenced his choice. In 1929, two years later, Nikolai transferred to the Cinematography Institute in Moscow. He graduated in 1932, and worked until 1951 as a director and producer of animated, educational and scientific films.
During the Second World War, Nikolai directed military-technical educational films for the Red Army. For this activity in 1943 he was awarded the Order of the Red Star.
Literary creativity
He began writing children's stories in 1938, but became a professional writer only after the Second World War. Nikolai’s first story was published in 1938 and was called “Entertainers.” Then other stories were published: “Dreamers”, “Gardeners”, “Mishkina Porridge”, “Wonderful Trousers”, “Cucumbers”, “Living Hat” and others. Most of them were published in the children's magazine Murzilka. These stories were included in Nosov’s first collection entitled “Knock-Knock-Knock” in 1945. A year later, the publishing house “Detgiz” published another collection of Nikolai’s stories - “Steps”.
Nosov himself said that he started writing for children absolutely by accident - he simply told his child fairy tales at first. “I gradually realized that writing for children was the best job for me. It requires a lot of knowledge, and not only literary ones...”
Nikolai was interested in the study of child psychology, he believed that “children must be treated with the greatest and also very warm respect,” so, probably, his books both found and still find a certain response among the children's audience.
In 1947, a collection of short stories entitled “Funny Stories” was published. His stories for teenagers “Vitya Maleev at home and at school” (1951), “The Diary of Kolya Sinitsyn” (1950), “The Cheerful Family” (1949) also gained wide popularity. Nikolai Nosov in 1952 was awarded the Stalin Award, 3rd degree, for writing one of his stories. Based on this story, a feature children's film called "Two Friends" was shot in 1954.
Sometimes clearly constructed, short, always quite detailed, these stories help to instill in children a sense of camaraderie, honesty, love of work, responsiveness, and so on; they condemn rudeness, vanity, and envy.
Nosov's fairy-tale works about Dunno are loved by readers and best known. The first of them was the fairy tale about “Spuntik, Screw and the Vacuum Cleaner.” Then the famous trilogy “Dunno on the Moon”, “Dunno in the Sunny City” and “The Adventures of Dunno and His Friends” was created. A fairy tale novel interspersed political satire, science fiction and dystopia “Dunno on the Moon”, economists have called it the most accessible and sensible guide to political economy. With its help, kids could perfectly understand what it is market relations, stock exchange, unemployment, strike, corrupt press, collapsed bank, joint stock company, unemployment.
The very first illustrator of Dunno was Alexander Laptev (1905-1965) - the artist who gave literary character a well-known image. No less famous Nosovsky illustrator was G. Valk. Nosov's books were also illustrated by artists: G. Ogorodnikov, V. Goryaev, A. Kanaevsky, E. Afanasyeva, D. Bisti, I. Semenov and others.
Please note that the biography of Nikolai Nikolaevich Nosov presents the most important moments from his life. This biography may omit some minor life events.

Biography
Nikolai Nosov came to literature completely by accident. At first he simply made up funny stories for his son and only a little later realized that the stories were worth writing down. At the age of thirty, Nosov was first published in the magazine “Murzilka” with the story “Zateiniki” and had unexpected success. In subsequent years, the author began to write for various all-Union children's publications, winning the recognition and love of young readers. Nosov drew plots from real life, describing in detail and naturally the lives of his funny characters - smart, witty and inquisitive, in whom every child could certainly recognize himself. The author, being a father himself, was well versed in child psychology and, importantly, perceived children as individuals, relying on instilling in their fragile minds the healthy ideals of friendship, respect, mutual assistance, and so on. At the same time, Nosov’s works completely lack ideological propaganda, so characteristic of writers of that period. Finally, Nosov's children's stories are simply fascinating stories that capture attention from the very first pages.
During his creative career, Nosov was awarded many state prizes and awards. The fame of an accomplished children's writer was finally strengthened after the release of the trilogy about Dunno, which became a classic of children's literature. But in his youth, Nikolai did not even think about writing. As a child, he studied music, after school he became seriously interested in chemistry, and then, unexpectedly for himself, he entered the directing department of an art institute. For some time, Nikolai Nikolaevich worked at Soyuzkino as a producer and director of animated, educational and popular science films. Probably, such an experience also had a beneficial effect on Nosov’s work, because subsequently several dozen films and cartoons were created based on his stories. In general, Nosov’s works are among the record holders for the frequency of translations into foreign languages. The characters of Nikolai Nikolaevich Nosov are known all over the world.
Death overtook the writer in a dream at the sixty-eighth year of his life. The cause of Nosov's death was a rupture of the heart muscle. From the stories of the writer’s grandson it became known that Nikolai Nikolaevich in last days I felt unimportant in my life and even seemed to have a presentiment of my imminent death. The funeral of Nikolai Nosov took place in Moscow. On the tombstone of Nosov’s grave at the Kuntsevo cemetery, Dunno, the writer’s most beloved character, is running somewhere merrily in his huge hat...

Episodes of life
Few people know that Nikolai Nosov also wrote for an adult audience. Thus, among the “serious” works from the writer’s repertoire, they note the autobiographical story “The Secret at the Bottom of the Well”, the cycle of feuilletons “Ironic Humoresques” and “The Tale of My Friend Igor” - a kind of artistic diary of Nosov, where he recorded everything interesting from the life of his growing up grandson. Shortly before his death, Nosov conceived and even began to write “The Tale of First Love,” but, alas, did not have time to finish the work.
Nosov's biography is full of tragic events. The writer happened to live in difficult times for the country: October Revolution, First World War, Great Patriotic War... Of course, I had to know both hunger and need. So, one day, when Nikolai was still a child, his entire family, including himself, fell ill with typhoid. Fortunately, everyone recovered, but little Nikolai I happened to be sick the longest. Later, after graduating from school, Nosov got a job at a brick factory as a laborer, and also worked as a navvy, mower, and newspaper seller whenever possible.
More than a hundred years have passed since the birth of the famous Dunno’s creator, and the monument to Nosov has still not been opened. But the Central Bank of Russia issued a silver coin in memory of Nikol Nosov. The coin is engraved with a portrait of Nikolai Nikolaevich and depicts the colorful Dunno. By the way, this is the first colored coin in Russian history. The circulation of coins was 7,500 pieces.

Condolences
“When my grandfather died, I was 14 years old. Now for some reason I remember the evening when I saw him last time- three days before his death... For some reason I remember the fear on the face of my grandfather, next to whom I stood..."
Igor Nosov, grandson
“Dunno - it was a discovery... Adventures, characters, knowledge, morality - everything was put into the book, and so easily and organically - that it never occurred to a single child that he was not just entertained, he was taught... That's why I love this book."
Sergei Lukyanenko, writer
“In the USSR there were many outstanding children’s writers, but no one wrote “Dunno on the Moon.” Try it now and re-read it. Our society is tailored according to his book. But its value goes far beyond political satire.”
Lev Pirogov, writer
Nikolai Nikolaevich Nosov (November 10, 1908 – July 26, 1976) is the most prominent and famous Soviet writer, who created many works for adults and children. In 1952 he became a Stalin Prize Laureate of the third degree.
Childhood
Nikolai Nikolaevich Nosov was born on November 10 in Kyiv in a large family. His mother was unemployed, and his father was a pop artist who sometimes worked as a railroad worker. In distant and difficult times, the family got by as best they could, trying to feed three brothers and a sister. However, there was barely enough money for food, so Nosov subsequently rarely mentioned his childhood, calling it “a dark and terrible time of adversity.”
From early childhood young Nikolai He was very fond of concerts and performances where his father played. The parents were already starting to think about another theatergoer growing up in the family, but things never went beyond watching plays. But, having seen and heard how different musical instruments were played at one of the concerts, Nikolai became eager to go to music school. But the dream was unrealizable due to financial difficulties, therefore, as if to compensate for the child’s disappointment, the father gives Nosov Jr. a violin. The boy's joy knew no bounds... but not for long. After just a few months, he realizes that learning to play the violin is by no means as fast as it might seem, and he quits his studies, forgetting about musical instrument Once and for all.
When Nosov was 5 years old, he, like his entire family, became seriously ill with typhus. For that time, this was a natural combination of circumstances, from which people died every month. But, having survived a terrible illness, Nosov survived and recovered, even if much later than the others.
At that moment, as the writer later recalled, he saw his mother cry for the first time:
“Only then did I understand that people tend to cry not only from grief and misfortune, but also from great, seemingly unrealistic happiness.”
Youth
Since ordinary secondary schools at that time in his hometown was not yet organized, the boy studied at the gymnasium, which in 1917 was reorganized into a seven-year school. After finishing it in 1924, Nikolai was forced to go to work to support his family. But since he did not yet have an education, and the gymnasium was not a specialized institution, he was denied many positions and was only offered part-time work as a laborer in factories. Realizing that this is the maximum he can count on this moment, Nosov first gets a job at a coal factory, then at a brick factory, where he works part-time almost around the clock, while earning pitiful pennies.
At that time, Nosov was interested in chemistry and even tried to enter one of the faculties of the Polytechnic Institute of the city of Irpen, but he was not accepted for the same reason - education at the gymnasium did not correspond to the profile of higher education. educational institution. However, the young man does not want to give up his dream, so together with his friend he opens a small chemical laboratory, which becomes his second home for a long time.
“I remember that after graduating from high school I really wanted to devote myself to science. Numerous studies, scientific breakthroughs, people in white coats - all this seemed so romantic, unrealistic and exciting to me...”
As in the case of playing the violin, at the age of 19 Nikolai Nosov quit chemistry classes and became seriously interested in photography. In order to do what he loves, he enters the Kiev Art Institute, and six months later he is transferred to the Moscow Institute of Cinematography. It was from this moment that Nosov realized that all his life he had been chasing something that initially could not be considered his native business. He begins to work as a director and animator, every day discovering for himself all the delights of this creative and incredibly interesting profession.
Writing career
After World War II, Nosov discovered his talent as a writer and began writing short, funny stories for children. He tries not only to compose something new and interesting, but also to create a work that will describe child psychology as accurately and clearly as possible. By the way, he himself tries to study all the details of this complex science in order to have an idea of how children think and what exactly they want to see in stories.
Nikolai’s debut story, entitled “Entertainers,” was published in 1938. Then, a month later, other works of the author are published, such as “Cucumbers”, “Living Hat”, “Dreamers”, “Gardeners”. Absolutely all of them become incredibly popular, and the Murzilka magazine, which publishes them, almost triples the number of its readers. Later, all the stories published during that period are included in the writer’s first collection, “Knock-Knock-Knock.”
In 1947, a second collection entitled “Funny Stories” was published. At that time, Nikolai Nosov was already known and loved not only in his hometown, but throughout the country, and millions of children fall asleep every evening to his interesting stories. The most famous and popular work of that period is “Vitya Maleev at school and at home” (1951), for which the writer was awarded the Stalin Prize of the third degree.
In 1953, stories were published that are now known throughout the world. This is a series of works “Vintik, Shpuntik and the Vacuum Cleaner” and “The Adventures of Dunno and His Friends”. It would seem that ordinary stories with elements of fantasy become one of the most successful works of the writer, his business card, because they also have a developmental meaning, telling little readers in a playful way about the basics of economics and even entrepreneurial activity.
Personal life
Nikolai Nosov married twice. His first wife was a journalist named Elena. The marriage produced a surprisingly smart boy, Peter, but the happy family did not remain so for long - when the child turned 15, Elena died after an unsuccessful operation.
Nosov marries the accompanist Tatyana for the second time, but he has no children from this marriage. The wife supports her husband in everything, and in gratitude he dedicates a series of stories about Dunno to her.
