Introduction:________________________________________
Hello guys. Today is the International holiday - the Day of Knowledge. (slide 1)
I congratulate you on this wonderful holiday and the beginning of the academic year. Knowledge Day is a celebration of those who learn and those who teach you.
Tell me, please, where can I study now? right-in kindergarten(preschool), school, college, college, institute, university).
Today I invite you to take a trip to the end of the 19th century and find out where and how your peers studied and lived more than 100 years ago. (slide2)
(slide3) - a statement about the 19th century
(slide 4) - historical background on literacy of the 19th century.
At that distant time, our city did not yet exist, but there was only the Cossack village of Tugaikul. And there was no such big city as Chelyabinsk either. And there was a fortress Chelyaba (slide 5)
For a long time there were no educational institutions in Chelyabinsk. The children of officials and merchants were usually brought up at home and educated, and then sent for further education to Orenburg, Yekaterinburg or the capital. (slide 6)
(slide 6-7)
The children of Cossacks and poor townspeople were taught literacy and arithmetic for three rubles by more literate local residents: scribes, priests, commoners. Yes, probably there was no need to open schools. After all, the Cossacks at the end of the 18th century lived mainly outside the city, and such a development of industry as, for example, in the Middle Urals, in Chelyab (as the city of Chelyabinsk used to be called) did not exist at that time. The state also did not show activity in the wide education of citizens, leaving education at the mercy of the church.
The first schools of spiritual and primary education, parochial schools, were created at the churches.
(slide 9)
What did they teach? First of all, the Law of God and church singing. These were the main lessons in the parochial school. They also taught arithmetic and grammar. The children studied in parochial schools for 4 years, and, leaving its walls, they knew how to read, write and knew the basics of church literacy.
In the first half of the 19th century, several educational institutions appeared in the city: men's spiritual, district, parish schools and a school for boys. (slide 10)
At the beginning of the 20th century, schools were created for the children of workers. They were also called factory schools. (Let's look at the photos and imagine what subjects were taught in these schools?)
(slide 11)
Until the beginning of the 20th century, there were no decent educational institutions in Chelyabinsk providing secondary education. But the rapid growth of the city at the turn of the century required literate, educated people, so in 1902 the first secondary male educational institution was opened - a real school. The school immediately became the center of education of the city. The emphasis here was on the natural and technical sciences. (Why do you think there was a need to create such an educational institution in Chelyabinsk? That's right. After all, plants and factories were built in the city - manufactories, and technical knowledge was most welcome here.)
For girls, the first educational institution opened only in the early sixties of the XIX century. A little later, two elementary schools were created for them, one at the monastery, and a women's progymnasium. The gymnasium provided primary education (the first 4 years) and was created in small towns. Gymnasiums were created in large cities, which provided primary and secondary education. As you already understood, girls and boys studied in different gymnasiums and did not meet during their studies. (slide 12)
That's why I seated you when you entered the hall..
All gymnasiums had approximately the same curriculum and were designed for a seven-year term of education. So, during the first two years, the following disciplines were taught: the Law of God, the Russian language, arithmetic, geography, calligraphy. (slide 3)
arithmetic lesson:
- Let's try to solve comic problems that high school students could solve in arithmetic lessons.
Joke tasks.
My garden gets twice as much snow as my neighbor's. Why?
(Because the cunning neighbor shovels all the snow into my garden)
In what case will 6 children, 2 dogs, 4 adults, climbing under one umbrella, not get wet?
(if it doesn't rain)
Two plus two times two?
(6)
There were three flies on the table. One of them got slammed.
How many flies are left on the table?
(one. The rest flew away.)
Needlework (most often embroidery) was also considered an important subject for girls. Embroidery was the best gift at the end of the 19th century. Embroidered shawls, scarves, pouches. They were given to parents and even gentlemen. After all, the child did not earn money himself. And taking them from their parents to buy them a gift was considered ugly. Therefore, all gifts were made by hand. From the 3rd grade, lessons of foreign languages were added: German and French. Singing, music and dancing were taught for a fee. The girls were also taught good manners. After all, every girl in the future will become a mother and her main purpose is to raise children. And in order to educate worthy citizens of her country, she herself must be educated, brought up, be able to behave in society, be accurate. Those who wished could stay for the 8th year, during which they were taught a pedagogical course of study. After graduating from the 8th grade, the graduates received a certificate of a home mentor. In the gymnasium, every quarter, information was issued on academic performance and behavior, which were issued to parents for signature, and then returned to the head of the gymnasium. In the diaries of schoolgirls, marks for behavior, attention and diligence were obligatory. So, there was strict discipline in the gymnasium. Gymnasium girls had to strictly follow the rules established by the gymnasium: attend church on Sundays and holidays, not miss classes without a good reason, always be polite, friendly, tidy, etc.; Come to class with your textbooks and notebooks.
Punishments in such a school were stricter than our modern ones. Remember the fairy tale by Antony Pogorelsky "The Black Hen". How was the schoolboy Alyosha punished for telling lies? (Rods) A special person monitored the behavior of the students: for the boys it was a man - the warden, and for the girls it was a woman - a "mentor" or "class lady".
(slide 14)
All high school students were required to wear uniforms. Let's look at the photos, what were the girls wearing? (A dark blue or brown dress with a long puffy skirt, an apron - white on holidays, black on weekdays. The hairstyle is always the same - a braid into which a black or brown bow is woven. A white bow was woven on holidays. This school uniform existed for a very long time. "Your grandmothers and mothers also wore it. They canceled the unified school uniform quite recently. But now many schools, modern gymnasiums and lyceums are introducing a uniform that distinguishes the students of this educational institution from other students. When it was cold in the gymnasium, the girls put on over dresses cape made of warm fabric.
Now let's see what the high school student looked like. The boys also had their own uniform, similar to the military. On the head, the gymnasium students wore a cap with a cockade, which housed the emblem of the gymnasium. The boys also wore a tunic - a military shirt. An obligatory element of the form is a belt with a badge. Trousers were also in a military style, often with stripes. On the feet boots or shoes. In cold weather - an overcoat with shiny metal buttons, often on it were shoulder straps with the symbols of the gymnasium. By the way, until 1918, gymnasium students wore uniforms not only during classes, but also after them.
If girls were trained to be a good housewife, wife and mother, then boys were trained to serve in their own country. “Duty, Honor, Fatherland” - these are the words that the boy should have known from an early age. Therefore, along with calligraphy, arithmetic, grammar, reading, boys in gymnasiums studied military affairs. Gymnastics was also a compulsory subject. What do you think, did the boys dance? Of course they did. Officers were considered the best dancers among adults, so dances for high school students were a familiar subject. They even organized "children's balls" for children, where both high school students and high school girls were supposed to dance. A lot of boys and girls knew how to play musical instruments.
We have already learned a lot about the life of high school and high school girls. And now let's look at a few items from the funds of our museum, which could be used by high school students.
(Children examine a fountain pen, an inkwell - a non-spill, a slate board, a school bell, blotting paper, a feather cleaner (it was made with their own hands), a penknife for sharpening (repairing) a goose feather).
The desks also differed from modern ones. They were inclined, so that it was convenient to write with pens. The desk had lids that lifted up if the student got up. The desk tops were mostly black to hide the ink blotches. This form of desks was preserved in Russian schools for a very long time. Even your grandparents, and perhaps dads and moms, studied at such desks.
- How long is the lesson now?
And 100 years ago, a lesson in a gymnasium lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes. Then the lesson time was reduced to 1 hour.
How long is the academic year at your school? (September 1 - May 30)
And at that distant time, the academic year began on August 16 and ended on June 1. Grade 1 was accepted in May, and all others in August. For out-of-town children there were boarding houses where children lived and studied. And they only went home on vacation.
But the life of gymnasium and gymnasium girls consisted not only of study. What were they doing in free time? Visiting theaters and cinemas was allowed only if accompanied by parents or a class teacher, and only with the permission of the boss.
(slide 18)
And high school students kept albums. They were like the diaries that modern girls are fond of. These albums were an ordinary notebook in which favorite poems, songs, wishes were recorded. The poems in all the notebooks are written in different handwriting, because it was customary to give the albums to friends so that they make a note as a keepsake.
excerpt from their diary.
Tell me, is it worth studying
Seven years without rest to hammer.
Then say goodbye to the gymnasium
And forget everything you knew.
Not only girls kept albums, but also boys.
Almost all albums of high school students have drawings: flowers (for girls), and A. Nikonov has images of a musician, a seller of seeds, billiards. The drawings belong not only to the owner or mistress of the album, but also to friends who sought to decorate the pages they wrote.
Albums give us an idea of the forms of leisure of the younger generation of a bygone era.
In one of the albums, Russian folk riddles are rewritten, perhaps in order to make them to friends. Try and solve these riddles.
1. They beat me, beat me up, turn me over - I endure everything and cry with all good (earth).
2. Blue fur coat covered the whole world (sky).
3. The sieve is roundish, whoever does not look will cry (the sun).
4. A piece of bread hangs behind a woman's hut, the dogs bark - they cannot get it (a month).
5. Goes in the forest - will not crack, goes in a splash - will not splash (month)
6. I look out the window - there is a basket of turnips (stars).
7. Dies by evening, comes to life by morning (day)
8. The bird waved its feather, covered the whole world with one feather (night)
9. The horse runs - the earth trembles (thunder)
On weekends, students arranged evenings, readings, and discussions on historical and literary topics were held.
Outcome.
How often do you have holidays at school? (Answer).
There were no spring, autumn and winter holidays in the gymnasium. Only summer ones, and even those lasted 1.5 months.
When did the children have time to rest? There were many holidays. Almost every week your own, or even several? Why so many? What is it connected with?
Answer:
(church holidays were days off, and also imperial name days were a day off.)
How many minutes is a lesson at your school?
40-45 minutes.
And in gymnasiums - 60 minutes.
What does the school say about the end of the lesson?
Call.
So in the gymnasium of the end of the 19th century there was also a bell, but not an electric one, like yours, but a bell. Now we will call him, and you will hear how loud he is - the whole multi-storey gymnasium could hear him.
(bell rings)

Today I am the hostess of the ball,
How crowded it was in our room.
Here are my friends:
students, teachers!
All moms and dads want
see your guys here.
I'll talk about the dance
I will take helpers.
They will talk about ballet,
Quadrille and polka, padegras ...
So let's start our story.
1 (boy) - Hello!
2 (girl) - Hello, good evening to you!
1- We are glad to our today's meeting!
We have a cheerful holiday today,
I myself am ready to start dancing!
2 - But we can’t dance yet,
We must tell everyone
Why ballroom dance
Forever festive for us?
And to whom? And why?
We owe him.
1- Ballroom dance originated in the 14th century in Italy. And in the 16-17th century. France became the trendsetter of ballroom dancing. Balls first appeared in Russia in the 18th century. By decree of Peter the Great, ballroom dancing was a compulsory subject in the curriculum of many educational institutions. In the 19th century, the nobles went to balls with pleasure.
W. - The balls were held in huge and magnificent halls, lit by many wax candles in crystal chandeliers and copper candlesticks. In the middle of the hall there was continuous dancing, and on both sides of the hall, against the wall, stood a multitude of card tables. Here they played, gossiped and philosophized. The ball for the nobles was a place of relaxation and communication.
Missing a dance at a ball could cost a career. It was very shameful to lose tact at the ball. The balls were held according to a certain traditional program clearly approved in the noble society. Since dances set the tone for the ball, they were the core of the evening's program. Cavaliers signed up in advance, inviting ladies to various dances.
2- Balls always began with the majestic Polonaise. It could be called a solemn procession in which all those who arrived took part. It lasted 30 minutes. Foreigners called this dance "walking conversation". In the first pair was the owner with the most distinguished guest, in the second - the hostess with the most eminent guest.
1 – Ball is a real find
For young dandies and for ladies;
1 dance. Ladies and Gentlemen! Polonaise!
1- Only the waltz gives us this moment,
And only now he disconnects ...
Flipping through time like the pages of books
Forgotten feeling again intoxicates ...
And who will tell you how to be saved now?
I can't look away anymore...
And the waltz is circling, circling, like for the first time ...
Soul boundless music embraced ...
2- The second dance at the ball was the waltz. Undoubtedly, it was the most refined dance of the 19th century. There were many varieties of this dance.
W. - From the middle of the 19th century. Waltz became the most popular ballroom dance. The history of the waltz is connected with the work of the Viennese composer Johann Strauss, the "king of waltzes", who wrote more than 500 waltzes. The dance became very famous in Vienna. Especially for the waltz, large dance halls were opened.
2 - In the rhythm of the waltz, everything floats,
invited people.
Together with the sun and moon
The globe spun.
Everyone is dancing, sliding
Can't resist!
2 dance. Waltz!
U. - Minuet - an old French folk graceful dance. Derived from a slow folk round dance. Initially, the gallant court minuet was performed by one couple. The movements of the minuet were built mainly on bows and curtsies. The minuet gradually developed, its pace accelerated, the movements and pas became more complicated, as a result, the late ballroom minuet acquired bright features of cuteness and sophistication. It began to be performed not by one, but by several couples.
Dance history.
Initially, the gallant (court) minuet was performed by one couple. The movements of the minuet were built mainly on bows and curtsies, which created not so much the impression of a dance as "an invitation to dance." During the 18th century, with the development of the gallant style and the Baroque era, the minuet gradually developed, its pace accelerated, movements and pas became more complicated, as a result, the late ballroom minuet acquired bright features of cutesy and sophistication. It began to be performed not by one, but by several couples (sometimes with a change of partners). On the stage, in the opera and ballet performances of Rameau (French composer of the Baroque era), the minuet developed to a virtuoso form, acquired genre specificity, plot specificity, and even several of its varieties appeared.
Under Louis XIV, the minuet was a favorite court dance. The minuet teacher at that time was François-Robert Marcel, a member of the French Royal Academy of Dance, who had specially resigned from the Paris Opera to teach this rapidly fashionable dance.
From France, along with the fashion for everything French, the minuet gradually moved to other countries. It appeared in Russia in the reign of Peter the Great and was performed at balls until the 30s of the 19th century.
3 dance. Minuet!
U. - Mazurka is the middle of the ball. She "came" to Russia from Paris in 1810. The lady in the mazurka walks smoothly, gracefully, gracefully, gliding and running across the parquet. The partner in this dance is active, makes “antrash” jumps, during which he must kick three times in the air. Skillful tapping with heels gives the mazurka originality and chic. In the 20s. In the 19th century, the mazurka began to be danced more calmly, and not only because the parquet suffered from it.
The mazurka was danced in four couples. During its execution, conversations were allowed. Each new dance at the ball contained less forms of solemn ballet and more dance game, freedom of movement.
He's completely French
Could speak and write;
Easily danced the mazurka
And bowed at ease;
What do you want more? The world decided
That he is smart and very nice.
A.S. Pushkin
Mazurka - (from Polish mazurek - the name of the inhabitants of Mazovia) - swift and incendiary ballroom dance.
The origins of the mazurka are in the Polish folk dance mazur, which appeared in the 16th century, remarkable for its beauty and variety of movements. In Europe, the mazurka becomes famous by the beginning of the 19th century. ( dance masters gave the folk dance a salon character) and is most widespread in Russia. Nowhere (except Poland) was the mazurka danced with such brilliance and skill as in Russia. Its study required much more time, patience and skill than the study of other dances.
Russian mazurka. From a French lithograph of the 19th century.
Everything in the mazurka supports the image of a brilliant cavalryman: a special bearing, and a springy step, and the gallantry of a courteous gentleman. It was on him that the successful performance of the dance depended. He chooses pieces and changes the tempo. Mazurka is a dance of dashing riders and their gentle ladies. The elements of the men's part were strong heel strikes (spurring the horse), sharp waves of the hand above the head (pulling on the reins), a “lame step” (a reminder of injuries), while the ladies had a light run on half-toes and a general demonstration of weakness and fragility. The lady should be able to easily fly around the hall, be able to grasp the movements and transitions offered by the gentleman. During the dance, the men knelt on one knee in front of the lady, as if wanting to help her get off the horse. Cavaliers flaunted in front of their ladies, enchanted and conquered them.
By the way, describing the performance of the mazurka, the authors works of art spurs are mentioned - a piece of equipment for a rider. It was not customary to appear at the ball in boots with spurs (because they could damage the lady's outfit). But there is something poetic about the spurs, and there was a lot of romance in the image of the brave military, jingling spurs.
figures dances were varied and numerous, and free improvisation movements made the dance bright and exciting. Mazurka has always been at the center of every celebration, they were waiting for it, preparing for it.
After the mazurka received a permanent "registration" in the ballrooms, dance masters came up with more and more new figures and even types of mazurka. Appeared waltz-mazurka and a quadrille-mazurka, it was combined with polka, used in cotillion. V pas de trois the mazurka is an integral part of the dance. One of the figures of the mazurka - "Zazdravnaya" - was performed with a glass of Champagne in hand. The mazurka usually ended the first part of the ball.
It is difficult to say whether the mazurka would be so well known today if it were not for the special role that the Polish composer Frederic Chopin played in the development of its musical form. He wrote over 50 beautiful mazurkas. What Chopin did for the mazurka is comparable only to the role Johann Strauss waltz.

"Counterdance" is one of the forms of originally English and, later, French folk dance and music for it. It is believed that country dancing originated in England in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Subsequently, the country dance became widespread in France and further throughout Europe. In the country dance, couples dance opposite each other, and not one behind the other, as in circle dances. At first it consisted of one figure, then from an alternation of 5 or 6 different dance figures. Typical musical sizes 2/4, 6/8.
6 dance. Country dance!
1- In the 18th century. Cheerful Czech dance "Polka" conquered the countries of Europe. According to legend, a country girl listening to Czech folk song, came up with those jumps that are in "Polka".
2– The Polka was a huge success. Teachers seized on the new dance, began to teach it in all salons and ballrooms. And in our days
The Polka is a popular dance with many variations from complex combinations to simple ones, with jumpy steps and always happy and cheerful music.
1- The sun is shining in the sky - a golden bottom,
The wind whispers to a cloud: "Come on, let's dance a field."
These words from a children's song show that "Polka" is loved not only by adults, but also by children.
7 dance. Cavaliers invite ladies! Hussar polka!
Gallop's homeland is Hungary, where he has been known since the 1800s. In Vienna and Berlin, the gallop appeared in 1822, in Russia in the early 1820s (with Pushkin in EO), in Paris and England in 1829. It became known as the end of a masquerade in French opera. The gallop is considered the forerunner of the polka. The gallop is a joyful jumping dance. Appeared at the Parisian balls. Fast ballroom dance popular in the 19th century Gallop

U. - Quadrille (fr. Quadrille) is a French dance, which is a kind of country dance and arose at the end of the 18th century. and very popular until the end of the XIX century. in Europe and Russia.
It is performed by two or four couples, arranged in a quadrilateral (fr. quadrille), opposite each other. Quadrille often uses well-known tunes in 2/4 or 6/8.
The famous illustration of the first quadrille performance at Almack's in London. Decorated with the techniques of fashionable dances - waltz, polka, gallop, mazurka, etc., the new quadrilles are pushing back, and over time they completely outlive the old-fashioned quadrilles with shifts (cotillions) and continue to reign in the ballrooms of the 19th century almost until its end, being transformed over time into a column, simplifying the technique and multiplying the figures. French dance, which is a kind of country dance and originated at the end of the 18th century. and very popular until the end of the XIX century. in Europe and Russia. It is performed by two or four pairs located in a quadrangle, opposite each other.
Quadrille - (from French quadrille - four), folk mass and ballroom dance of the 19th century, mobile, musical. size 2/4, refers to country dances. England is considered the birthplace of this dance, from which it was born at the beginning of the 18th century. got to France. The square dance owes its spread and popularity to Paris. The French changed the dance to their liking, not forgetting to add the word "French". In the 70s. 19th century English square dance becomes fashionable Lancier.
In a traditional quadrille, 4 or 8 couples participated, which formed a quadrangle - carre. If there were more pairs, they were arranged in several squares. (In the Middle Ages, a quadrille was a small detachment of horsemen participating in a tournament, located on the four sides of a place reserved for a duel). Probably, the military origin of the quadrille explains its popularity among officers at the beginning of the 19th century. Later, two lines lined up, and each line of couples danced each quadrille figure in turn.
There were 6 figures in the quadrille, they included chassis, rises to half toes, gallop, transitions. The quadrille figures required a lively, graceful and elegant performance. The manager of the ball could, at his own discretion, create various dance formations. The dance technique of the quadrille was brought to perfection, and the movements were perfectly finished.
The old French quadrille was the center of attention and the foundation of every bala. In one evening it could be performed several times. The quality of the performance was a serious test for the dancers, all the eyes of the audience followed the quadrille! The quadrille had and educational value: she taught good manners, the ability to move musically, clearly and naturally.
Over the course of two hundred years, the dance has undergone many changes: figures have become simpler, ordinary everyday steps have appeared. The quadrille has become a dance of relaxation, necessary among the fast waltzes, gallops and Poles.
Among the people, the square dance has been modified for decades, improved and created anew. She acquired original movements, drawings, manner of performance, taking from the salon dance only some of the features of the constructions and the name. The Russian people made the quadrille varied in design, introducing many figures Russians round dances and dancing. Quadrille is distinguished by square, linear, circular. Performed at dance parties and balls.
9 dance. And now the French Quadrille!
U. - At the end of the ball they performed the French dance “cotillion”. It was a dance-game, playful and laid-back. The gentlemen in this dance kneel in front of the lady, put her down, deceive, bounce off her, jump over a scarf or a card.
Cotillion (fr. cotillon listen)) is a ballroom dance of French origin.
Cotillion is close to country dance. It became especially widespread in the middle of the 19th century in Europe and in Russia. Cotillion united several independent dances (waltz, mazurka, polka). It was performed by all participants at the end of the ball. The variety of Cotillion depended on the leading couple - the cavalier conductor gave a signal to the orchestra, loudly naming the figures. He also monitored the coordination of the movement of couples.
In the middle of the century, quadrille figures were often inserted into the cotillion, performed between the figures of choice, so that the cotillion was sometimes even called the quadrille cotillion.
In the 1920s in Germany, Cotillion was a game of forfeits, with dancing, at the end of the ball. Currently, Cotillion consists of a quadrille, between the figures of which other dances are inserted: mazurka, waltz, polka.
It is the final dance of the ball.
Cotillion - (from French cotillion), ballroom dance of French origin, known since the 18th century, gained popularity in the 19th century. By the same time, the complication of its composition and the appearance of a huge number of figures. No one ball in the 19th century did not pass without a cotillion.
Cotillion was first performed at the end of the ball as a farewell performance of all participants in their favorite dances, and then became the center of the dance evening. The cotillion is very similar to a mass dance game led by one couple who assigned the order of the pieces.
The dance included movements waltz, mazurka, polka. Sometimes the cotillion was performed between the figures quadrille.
The hosts of the balls brought into fashion the cotillion with accessories (various items). The variety of these objects and the imagination of the ball manager created many new figures, or rather entertainment and games with things, combined with dances. Some sources mention more than 200 cotillion figures, for example, "Chairs", "Flowers", "Cards", "Pyramid", "Mysterious Hands", "Butterfly Game", "Mutual Favor", etc.
“Cotillion is the king of dances, an invaluable inspirer, without which a ball is not a ball, without which the dancers look in vain for what they came for: variety, gaiety, the absence of any technique, a good joke, unexpected effects. This is a dance game, where not only legs work, but wit is especially refined ”(Petrova M. Yu. “Petersburg's latest self-instruction manual for all public dances”, St. Petersburg, 1883).
11 dance. Cotillion.
1- The ball is over, the candles went out,
It was wonderful evening!
2- We say thank you to everyone,
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!
Evgeny Baratynsky February 19, 1800, the village of Vyazhlya, Kirsanovsky district, Tambov province - June 29, 1844, Naples) - one of the most significant Russian poets of the first half of the 19th century.
Ball
Silent midnight. We build long
Silvered by the moon
Carriages are standing on Tverskaya
In front of a magnificent and ancient house.
Burning with a thousand lights
Extensive hall; from high choirs
Bows roar; crowd of guests
The hum of dance with the hum of conversation.
In luxurious feathers and flowers,
With a dead smile on your lips
Ordinary frame of the ball,
Secular old ladies are sitting
And on the brilliant whirlwind of the hall
They look with dull attention.
Young ladies are circling
Do not feel themselves;
They have precious stones
Headdresses are burning;
On their shoulders half-naked
Golden curls fly;
Clothes light as smoke
Their light camp is designated.
Around the captivating Charit
And bustles and boils
A crowd of jealous fans;
Interprets, catches every glance;
Joking, unhappy and happy
Turntables are doing cute things.
Everything is in motion. Woe to achieve
Attention flattering beauty,
The hussar twists his mustache,
The writer stiffly sharpens
And both are right: they say
What at the same time can ladies
Changing from left to look,
Laugh right epigrams.
Meanwhile, in ribbons and in stars,
Sometimes with cards in hand
Important boyars come out,
Getting up from the card tables,
Look at the rushing couples
Under the rumble of impetuous bows.
But the guests murmured deafly,
The whole hall is full of whispers:
"She's gone home!
She suddenly felt sick." - "Really?"
- “In a quadrille merrily spinning,
Suddenly dead!" - “What is the reason?
Oh my god! Tell me prince
Tell me what happened to Princess Nina
your wife?" - "God knows,
Migraine, of course! .. There are six in surahs.
"What's wrong with her, cousin? danced
You are in the next pair, I saw?
In a decent circle, isn't it always
Does she look like she doesn't belong?
The slander spoke the truth.
In Moscow between smart women and between fools
Too much for my princess
It was difficult to be known as Penelope.
Full of contempt for opinion
Above the virtue of women
Isn't she laughing
How about the antics of the village?
Whom she beckons to her house,
Is it not note-taking,
Are not the newcomers pretty?
Is not the hearing of people weary
The rumor of her shameless victories
And seductive connections?
But how omnipotently attracted
Her living beauty!
Whose immaculate lips
They smiled so sweetly!
What would Lyudmila be to her,
Humble, rays of the pious
Your azure eyes
And freshness licks bashful
Wouldn't give it away right now
For the bright gloss of black eyes,
Drenched in voluptuous moisture,
Is it hot for the flame?
What an autocratic fairy
Wouldn't you give in to the Harit?
As in conversations close to the heart
She was captivating!
How pleasingly gentle
What kindness in the eyes
She was beaming! But sometimes
Burning with jealous anger,
Like evil in words, scary by itself,
The new Medea appeared!
What tears from the eyes
Then they rolled with her!
Tormenting the soul, shed
In her languor are those tears;
Who would not wipe them from sorrow,
Who would not leave beauty?
Fear the dangerous charmer,
Don't Approach: Circled
She is a magical sketch;
Around her passionate contagion
Filled with air! The pitiful one
Who enters into his sweet child:
Rook swimmer whirlpool
So it leads to death!
Run her away: there is no heart in her!
Be afraid of insinuating speeches
Stupefying Lure;
Do not catch loving glances:
It has the heat of a drunken bacchante,
Fever fever is not the fever of love.
So, no direct sympathy Captivated by power - On her luxurious chest Called the lucky young man; He was recreated for a moment Her vivid imagination; Her wayward face matured, She caressed with rapture One vision. And suddenly her dream went out: She went into an annoying deception, Her seducer is ridiculous to her, And among the crowd Laisa is cold He will be inconspicuous. In the languid hours of the night, Natural pleasures are alien, So the enchantress sometimes Your eyes are filled with magic: Above it merged from the clouds Magnificent halls; She is on a throne of flowers The demigods please her. For a moment, admired She is a living vision; But it comes to mind with amazement, Laughs at the heart of oblivion And merges with darkness with a wave Your brilliant dream. Whose image did the brush draw? Alas! those days are far away When the princess is so easy Ignited, cooled down! When, pet direct And Epicurus and Nino, One flying whim She knew the laws! The messenger of fate appeared to her; Confused look enchanted Enslaved the imagination Merged all thoughts into one thought And shed a passionate torment Into the deepest depths of the heart. Beauty pampered Arseny Didn't attract eyes Traces of tormenting passions, Traces of sad reflections He wore it on his forehead; in the eyes Gloomy carelessness breathed, And not a smile on your lips - An idle smile wandered. He recently visited The edges are alien; searched there As you heard, entertainment And again he saw his homeland; But, apparently, the heart of healing It was impossible to give someone else's limit. He appeared in the house of my Laisa, And wits perky regiment I don’t know how I fell silent before him - Adonis drooped head. He struck in conversation Rare knowledge of people and light, Penetrated deep into the heart A sly joke, a caustic word, He judged legibly the singer, Knew the price of a brush and a cutter, And, no matter how coldly compressed Habitual warehouse of his speeches, Seemed rich in feelings He is in the depths of his soul. Irresistible, like fate, Don't know what's in the face game In the movement of every stranger You were drawn to him, O Nina! You never took your eyes off him... He was courteous, but cold with her. He embarrassed her many times With an experienced smile; But, old priestess of love, She did not know how in the blood Give birth to rebellious excitement How to inhale wild heat into feelings. And the almighty moment He was thrown into her chest. My lovers were breathing Consonant happiness two or three days; A day or two later they The dissimilarity in feelings was shown. Passionate oblivion is full, Full of bliss new life, She is free, she is happy caressed him; but harsh, Dull, he often matured: A rebellious dream flew before him; Always scattered, fate It seemed that he blamed something, And, pressing Nina to her heart, He hid his heart from Nina. Ungrateful! Im at Nina's All thoughts were occupied: His favorite flowers his favorite paintings She had. Not once Shiny new clothes In her chambers, so that for an hour To seduce him, to amuse his eyes. The office was secretly cleaned Where is the voluptuous half-light, Goddesses of luxurious statues, Smoking sweet light vapors - Gives life to all desires It poured into the heart of languid heat. Wow! He was devoted to sorrow. Once upon a time (it came to that) Nina's forehead flared up And the eyes shone brightly. The passions of the nasty fluent dispute The face appeared. "What's wrong with you - She said that your gaze Is everything full of gloomy melancholy? My old annoyance I do not melt in my heart: Sorrow is inseparable from you; I'm ashamed, but I see clearly: You're hard, you're boring My crazy love! Tell me, what is your contempt for? Tell me, in the depths of my heart You are insensitive to me Is he incredulous? suspicion I deserved. Antiquities It's hard for me to remember: Then the hourly novelty Alkalo I have a dream; One idol for a long time Could not enslave him; Love today is difficult Lived until tomorrow To entrust my heart recklessly, You're right, but listen to me. Run with me - the earth is great! The foreign land will hide us easily, And there is unknown, far away, You will be my complete lord. You give me Italy sometimes He praised with brilliant enthusiasm; The country you love I learned by imagination; There the sun is magnificent, there the moon Rising, full of sweets; There are vines of grapes, Noisy laurel forests - There, there! I'm happy with you Forget native skies. Run with me! You are irresponsible! Answer, decide my lot. Il no! why? your soul The stubborn cold is noticeable to me; Shut up! I don't need In deceptive words - enough! My unfortunate love I’m punished from above ... but it hurts, it hurts! .. " And sobbed. Outraged Her longing: "A crazy dream I carried you away, - said Arseny, - Involuntary darkness of my soul - A trace of past miserable delusions And the old fatal passions. It will dissipate over time Your magical love; No, don't worry if again Doubt will take over! Don't blame my sadness." The day after, a peaceful couple, They sat on the sofa. Princess with a languid hand Hug my friend And lay down on his shoulder. On the near table, secretive in thought Leaning on, our Arseny Meanwhile, on a business card Carried a careless pencil. It has long been evening. With a slight crack Burning candles on the table Kumirov marble in the distant haze In some places it shone with an unfamiliar brilliance. Arseny was silent, Nina too. Suddenly, carried away by a secret feeling, He exclaims: "How similar!" Nina woke up: “Priceless friend, Looks like! Really? my portrait! Let me take a look... What is it? Not! Not mine: cutesy girl With sweet stupidity in your eyes In shaggy curls, like a lapdog, With a sleepy smile on your lips! I'll say she's so beautiful I would be overshadowed by…” Meanwhile, the face of the princess Covered with the pallor of a grave. Her breath went away The lips froze, turned blue; Moistened the cold sweat of the brow, Undead shone The eyes are alone. Wanted to broadcast The language is rebellious, but stagnant, Words merged into babble. A long moment has passed And finally her suffering A free voice has found: “Arseny, you see, I am dying; Arseny, will you give me an answer! Are you familiar with jealousy?.. No! So you know, I know her I am capable of it! In old times Among the many rarities of the East I have chosen one... Here's a ring... with it I'm above rock! Arseny! given to me in defense Mighty this talisman; Know no misfortune It won't scare me with him. Confusion in your eyes You marvel! He holds poison." Arseniy took Nina's hand: "I have a calm conscience, - Said - but I lived to see the day Heavy hearted revelations. Take heed to me. Where do I start? Don't get angry, Nina! I breathed another in the old days, Fate wanted it. We grew up together. So cute Little Olinka was! Her moments are different Still I see before me With dark blue eyes With a dark curly head. I called her sister With her childhood games I shared; But year after year went by Ordinary sequence. Childhood is gone. flowed Days of incomprehensible excitement, And they built each other We are eyes full of languor. Deceptive conversation of the eyes. And, my Olenka's hand Squeezing with a timid hand, “Tell me,” I sometimes whispered, Tell me, do you love me? And heard the sweet Yes. To a happy home, to yourself on the mountain, Then I brought in a friend. face He was pleasant, lively in mind; He charmed Olga soon. Their eyes always met There was always a whisper between them. I am my stinging torment He did not take it down - he poured out a jealous murmur. What kind of success awaited me? I was answered with children's laughter! I left her with contempt, All the pain of the soul in the soul is melting. He said "forgive" everything: but revenge I swore to my opponent. With sharp words all the time I missed him, annoyed him, And according to my wish A quarrel broke out between us: We were shooting. Falling down in blood Forever I thought to leave the world; I rose from the bed with a healthy body, But the heart is sick. What to add? I fled to distant lands; Alas! under a foreign sky I languished with the same longing. Having seen the native land again, I'm only with you dear Soul began to come to life. Silent. stared blankly She's on her friend As if to lead him Still did not fully understand; But, from his hand later Slowly freeing my hand Suddenly she shook her face, And everything in him expressed torment. And, exhausted, languid, She dropped her head. “What, what is the matter with you, priceless friend?” - Arseny screamed. Hearing it He only took a sigh half-embarrassed. "Dear friend, what are you?" - "Nothing". Still on the wings of hasty Several weeks passed In stormy quarrels, as hitherto, And in the reconciliations of the unfortunate. But what, what is the last thing? Today Nina has no friend, And tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, no! In vain, full of torment, She doesn't take her eyes off the door. And thinks: he will be in an hour. He forgot about passionate Nina; He did not enter, a servant entered, The letter was given to her ... a terrible moment! There is no doubt: his hand! “What to delay,” Arseny wrote to her, The sky must open! in what? I barely have a pen I'm looking in vain for expressions. They on! I met Olga; She still breathes me And my old jealousy She was wrong and funny. The lot is settled. old fashioned I am faithful to Olga, faithful to me. Sorry! your memory I will keep until later days; In it I will bear the punishment Mistakes of my youth. For your own and for others Invisible Nina; one for all The porter repeats it for a long time: "Does not accept, unwell!" She doesn't need anyone or anything; Forgetting food and drink In peace far and deaf She, motionless, mute, Sits and from one place Doesn't take his eyes off. A sad dream of deep torment! But the doors plow, dissolving: Husband is not very sentimental Blowing his nose loudly, the prince enters. And so he sits down. In reflection At first silently submerged, He shakes his leg; And finally: “Torment is with you! Without any sadness, you are sad; As I can see, you are quite ill; Hey! hard to imagine How rich you are in quirks! It's time for you to remember. Today is a ball at Prince Peter's; Forget empty fantasies And do not lag behind people; Our young ones will be there Arseny with Olga. go, Well, are you going?" - "I'll go" She said, strangely perking up, Princess. “The thing,” said the prince, Farewell, I'm in a hurry to the club for dinner. What, poor Nina, is the matter with you? What feeling took over Your sick soul? What to revive her skillfully, Is it hope? in a hurry The hours are flying; the prince left; It's time for the princess to get ready. Surrounded by outfits For a long time not being in sight, She is standing in front of the dressing table. Already the gas on it, streaming, shines; Luxurious, sweet eyes Draws the chest, then to the legs With a bright garland falls. Diamond flickering earrings Burning behind black curls; Pearls covered her forehead, And, between abundant braids Skilful hand missed We see it, then it is invisible. Feathers flutter above the head; According to his languid whim, That her face they cherish, They doze in her curls. Meanwhile (to what destruction Leading a heart storm!) Her faded eyes Surrounded by a wide shadow And there is no blush on the cheeks! Slightly visible in the form of a beautiful Beauty seasoned weak trail! In glass alive and impartial My poor princess Looking, he thinks: “And it's me! But let the terrible vision He raises an embarrassed look, Let him see his creation And he will understand all his guilt. Another heavy dream Then she excites her soul: "Is my rival I will give myself up to abuse! Will I calmly take it down How, triumphing over me, Your blooming beauty With my faded beauty She compares mockingly! There is one more hope: I will hide traces of sadness At least half, at least for an hour ... " And Nina with a trembling hand The face blushes for the first time. She came to the ball. What upset her soul? Crowds of windy guests In a brightly shining, lush hall, Careless babble, peaceful laughter? Gusts or cheerful music, And, in a word, this whirlwind of pleasures, Is it so heavy for a sick soul? Or ambiguously look Did anyone dare Nina? Ile shone with superfluous happiness Olga's face is young? Whatever it was, she became ill, She went home. Silent night. Nina in the bedroom Lazily arguing with the darkness In front of the golden icon The lamp sharpens the sad light. He will disappear into the darkness That will play on the salary; Around a deep, dead dream! Meanwhile, in a brilliant outfit, In rich feathers, pearls, With a strange blush on your cheeks, Is it you, Nina, that I see? In the shimmering haze Why are you sitting motionless With an immovable thought on your forehead? The door creaked, the ear hears Someone's gait on the floor; In front of the icon, in the corner, Someone stood and coughed muffledly. Dry, decrepit hand She reached out from the darkness to the lamp; Light touched lightly The sleepy lamp woke up, And the light is unexpected and alive Suddenly illuminates all peace; Princess mother gray-haired Standing in front of the icon And now, sighing piously, She makes a bow to the ground. Here she got up, crossed herself; Here it was trudging home; Suddenly he sees Nina in front of him, Stopped halfway. Looks sad at her Shakes his old head "Is it you, my child, Such a late time? .. And do not close your eyes with sleep, Grieving God knows what! This is how you spend your life Though from the mind, but stupidly; Well, right, you're leaving yourself, But it is sinful, where it is sinful! And what's wrong with your fate? As I look, the house is full Do not count how good; You are of a great rank; Your prince of a pleasant face, His soul is so meek, The Hourly Highest Creator Bless another! You forgot God... yes, You never go to church; Believe who will leave the Lord, The Lord will also leave him; And he rules our spirit, He guards our flesh! Do not be angry, my dear; You know, you never know I grind with the old tongue, I'm sorry, give me a pen." sighing To the hand of the princess she She clung to her shabby mouth - The hand is icy cold. Looked into her face with trepidation - On it is a hasty death move; Eyes are standing and mouth is foaming... Nina's fate is complete No Nina! so what? No! As you can see, poisoned, She kept her terrible vow! Already fatal tickets Tickets with black border On which human frailty Trophies accepted by fashion, Sadly startle the look; Where are the lean Saturns They sit with formidable braids, Leaning on mourning urns; Where the bones are dead cross Lie with a striking coat of arms Under the coffin heads - I must hear about Nina's death Legalized words They rush around the city. On the appointed day, to take away the body, From all over Moscow big One carriage after another I flew to the prince's mansions. Sewing around the living room, First, an important silence The crowd kept; but then There was a languid buzzing; It grew, it grew, it grew And it turned into a noisy conversation. Embraced by happy oblivion, The prince himself set to work And hot theological debate With some kind of hypocrite engaged. The rich coffin of the unfortunate Nina, Surrounded by splendid priesthood, Was peacefully lowered into the ground; The world did not recognize her fate. Prince, without much difficulty, He betrayed his lot to the will of the highest. The poet who always Dinner with them on Thursdays Not with gastric anguish Scribbled her poems to death. The capital is full of rumors; There was some rumor What is their legitimate page Accepted in a ladies' magazine.
A bit of history...
In the 19th century, in the field of dance and dance music, a significant renewal of imagery and expressive language took place, a huge number of new genres appeared. To the greatest extent, this was facilitated by the violent social upheavals that took place in Europe at the end of the 18th - the first half of the 19th century and led to radical changes in social and cultural life (the French Revolution, the Napoleonic Wars, the national liberation movement in Austria, Germany, Italy, Poland).
The art of modern times, having lost contact with the aristocratic courts, acquires a civic-democratic character that was previously unusual for it. And this is very clearly manifested in dance, affecting both its choreographic and musical components, causing the emergence of a huge number of new genres in everyday life and in professional creativity.
V Everyday life Public balls, which are held not only in the palaces of the aristocratic elite, but also in theaters and other public institutions (sometimes in parks and squares), are gaining immense popularity. A traveler in Bavaria wrote at the time: “Public dance halls are frequented by all classes; here aristocratic arrogance is swept aside, ancestors and titles are forgotten. Here we see artisans, artists, merchants, councilors, barons, counts and other nobles dancing with maids, third-class women and ladies.
Balls not only provide an opportunity to dance, but also become a "lyrical center" public life era, as well as the place where business acquaintances take place, financial transactions are made. They determine the fashion in society for this or that dance, the style and manner of its performance. As a result, special dance classes organized one after another in various cities of Europe, where professional teachers (the most famous of them - Cellarius, Coralli, Labor, Markovsky) teach the art of ballroom dancing, are of great importance. Often, it is there that new dance genres and forms first appear, which at first become extremely popular in everyday life, and subsequently gradually penetrate into professional art (musical theater, academic music).
France, which for several centuries determined the main directions of the development of choreographic art, still remains the dance center of Europe. French teachers are very popular in many countries and are considered the most talented and knowledgeable in the field of dance (both domestic and stage).
But gradually Austria and Russia begin to compete with France. Dance, like music, has always been the strongest passion of the Viennese burghers. The largest halls of the city were reserved for dance evenings. Sometimes restaurants, usually having their own small ballrooms, could not accommodate everyone, and then the dances were transferred to the gardens, to the open air. Not least important is the fact that Vienna, as the capital of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, has long been the focus of various national influences, which contributed to the spread of dances of Hungarian, Czech and other origin in Europe. Finally, it was in Vienna that the waltz became widely known, from here it triumphantly marched through all countries.
In Russia, new trends also find fertile ground for development. It should be noted that until the era of Peter I in Russia little was known about the art of dance. Western Europe. Russian dances, which have long occupied an important place in the life of society, were deeply original and differed significantly from numerous European samples. For a long time they were a favorite entertainment not only among the common people, but also at the royal court. And only during the reign of Peter I did the minuet, gavotte, country dance and other dances popular in Europe penetrate Russia. They become an indispensable attribute of secular balls (“assemblies”), theatrical performances, and are included in the compulsory curriculum in various educational institutions. It is noteworthy that the perception of foreign culture, and in particular dance culture, was not a simple copying or imitation. In Russia, foreign dances are often modified, they are given a different character, due to the performance in a more lively and direct manner.
In ballroom practice early XIX centuries, many dance genres of past times are still preserved. In France they continue to perform the minuet, gavotte, bourre, in England - the gigue, in Russia - the gavotte, grossvater, minuet, French quadrille. However, the manner of their performance is changing, becoming more relaxed; the pace of dancing accelerates; old compositions are modified and adapted to new aesthetic tastes and rules of behavior in society.
The 19th century is the century of mass ballroom dancing, rhythmically alive and natural. Gradually the French dances of the 18th century are forgotten. Thus, the famous minuet loses its former popularity and becomes only a means of cultivating good manners, developing posture, grace and smoothness of movement. Under the influence of national liberation movements emerging in different parts of Europe, dances, the origins of which date back to the folk dance art of England, Germany, Austria and the Slavic countries, are winning the right to exist. Ecossaise, quadrille, waltz, polka, mazurka become pan-European dances and throughout the century have enjoyed success in various sectors of society. It is noteworthy that of the dances of past eras in the 19th century, only those in which a large number of couples participate continue to live: for example, polonaise, various types of country dances, widely known back in the 18th century and just as loved in the new era.
But main place among dance genres, the waltz belongs, it was at this time that its improvement and true glory began. It defines the structure and character of all ballroom dances, a relaxed manner of performance based on free obedience to the musical rhythm. The absence of complex figures that must be performed in strict sequence, the simplicity of movements and postures, the captivating melodies make the waltz a favorite dance in all walks of life. Not only the waltz in its basic form, but also its many variations and combinations are gaining distribution and popularity. The popularity of the waltz is greatly facilitated by the music. It is written by composers of various nationalities, creating true masterpieces of dance music.
Along with the waltz, other dances are also widely used. For example, a mazurka, which could be performed by any number of couples. Moreover, each pair could itself choose the order of the figures and “compose combinations”. The polka is also a huge success - a mass dance originating from the Bohemian folk dance. Appearing in the 1840s, it becomes extremely popular both at public balls and at modest student or home parties.
Since the beginning of the 19th century, other dances have also attracted interest, previously known only among the people of such countries as Spain (bolero, seguidilla, etc.), Poland (krakowiak), Hungary (czardas), Russia (trepak). Being subjected to considerable stylization, they also become part of numerous dance evenings, although they do not gain such popularity as the waltz, mazurka, polonaise or square dance.
Extracurricular activities play an important role in the upbringing of the younger generation. Isaev wrote: "Educational activity is a pedagogical activity aimed at organizing the educational environment and managing various types of educational activities in order to solve the problems of the harmonious development of the individual."
In my work I pay great attention extracurricular activities to which we invite parents, teachers, war and labor veterans.
Our native Belgorod region has long been famous for dancing. But there were times when it was forbidden to hold balls, churches were closed. And it's good that old traditions are now being revived and classical music is being played. Balls dedicated to A.S. Pushkin.

Let's throw away all sorrows!
River French wine!
And we'll dance all night!
Music sounds, the girls, giggling, run away, couples disperse.
Master of Ceremonies: Such conversations sometimes happened at balls. Let us forgive these young ladies their frivolity and slander.
presenter: What a lovely evening! Mysterious candles, romantic mood.. So you want to spin in the dance!
Master of Ceremonies:
Monotonous and insane
Like a whirlwind of young life
The whirlwind is whirling waltz noisy
The couple flashes by the couple.
Waltz, gentlemen! Waltz!
WALTZ
Master of Ceremonies: It was a lovely waltz, but it was a marvelous waltz. We thank everyone who took part in its performance.
Presenter: It is impossible to imagine a coquette of the 19th century without a fan. Each beauty knew the rules for handling a fan.
COMPETITION "LANGUAGE OF THE FAN"
You have to translate the following phrases into the language of the fan:
- “Yes” - put the fan with your left hand on your right cheek.
- “I love you” - point with a closed fan to the heart with your right hand.
- “My thoughts are always with you” - open the fan halfway and lightly stroke it over the forehead several times.
- “I want to dance with you” - wave an open fan several times towards yourself, i.e. beckon.
- “I want to dance with you” - wave an open fan several times towards yourself.
- “Be careful, we are being watched” - touch the left ear with an open fan.
ROMANCE
Presenter: How beautiful are the girls at the ball, how interesting and gallant are the gentlemen! Ladies tried to bring something special, distinctive to their outfit. Especially for our ball, everyone present also made boutonnieres. What do they mean you will find out right now!
Master of Ceremonies:
forget-me-not says: "Remember me";
cornflower means tenderness and happiness;
white rose - youth and charm;
bell - good news;
camellia - admiration, perfection.
Young people can present their boutonnieres to girls.
SCENE 3 "THE TWO LOVERS TALK"
He: Once again helplessly drunkIn relatives, looking, sweet eyes ...
I wish I could love you even more
Yes, it’s a pity, it’s impossible to be stronger! ..
She: You can't get any stronger! Yes, believe me, I agree!
Not because no stronger than love!
And because there is no more happiness,
Than just to look into YOUR eyes!
They simply dissolve without a trace,
Realizing one thing: you are near, you are with me!
Love, my Darling, is crazy sweet,
And I don't need any other!
He: Oh, how happy I am to be with you,
And enjoy your closeness ...
I don't need anything in this life
Only to know that you will be mine forever! ..
She: I promise, Honey, it will be -
I will be yours, but you - I love you!
And whatever happens in this life
We will keep our love with you!
And looking into each other's eyes with you,
Even after many long years,
Let's understand, Beloved, you and I are the only one:
There are no more expensive than these eyes in the world! ..
LITERARY BADMINTON
Master of Ceremonies: At balls and in literary salons, games, including mobile ones, were popular. One of them is badminton!
Presenter: (surprised) Do you want to invite our guests to warm up and compete in beating plastic balls???
Master of Ceremonies: exactly to compete, …….! Because our badminton will be literary, and it will consist of 2 rounds. Questions will be asked in turn to each pair. A couple that does not answer the question is eliminated from the competition. And the winner is the one that successfully "beat off the balls" in two rounds! 2 people from the squad are invited.
Presenter: Well then, let's start! The first round "What's in my name to you?". In it it is necessary to name (in full!) the names and patronymics of writers and poets.

Master of Ceremonies: Mazurka! Mazurka comes from Poland. Not a single ball could do without her!
Presenter: This dance appeared in St. Petersburg, having migrated to us from Paris. He immediately went into great fashion.
Master of Ceremonies: Of course! Mazurka is a super hit of its time! And all why? Yes, because in the mazurka the ladies could flirt to their heart's content, the gentlemen could show their dashing. The gentleman tapped his spurs, knelt down, circled the lady around him and kissed her hand. Mazurka has always been at the center of every holiday, they were waiting for it, preparing for it!...
Presenter: The mazurka rang out. used to
When the mazurka thundered,
Everything in the great hall was trembling,
The parquet cracked under the heel!
Master of Ceremonies: Gentlemen, the middle of the ball is a mazurka!
MAZURKA
Master of Ceremonies: Not a single ball was complete without games. The most beloved were the well-known "Zhmurki".
Host: We invite 8 people to play. Ladies and gentlemen, don't be shy!
"Zhmurki"
ROMANCE
Master of Ceremonies:
Presenter:
SCENE #4
Lady 1: Ah, monsieur……! Are you stuck somewhere? Come on in, we're glad to see you. Wonderful ball today?
He: Yes, well, of course, ... who can compare with St. Petersburg ... (Takes a chair, sits in the center of the ball). Oh, what a life, right! There's no way to hide, no way! As soon as I enter somewhere, everyone is already saying: “Out, he says, ... .., he’s coming.”
Lady 2: Say so! Just think about it!
He: I know pretty actresses. After all, I also write various vaudeville stories there. However, there are a lot of my works, there are “The Marriage of Figaro”, “Robert the Devil”. I don’t even remember the names ... And it’s all by chance: I didn’t want to write, but the theater management says: “Please write something!” I think to myself, well, if you please, brother! And then in one evening, it seems, he wrote everything, he amazed everyone. I have an extraordinary lightness in my thoughts!
Lady 3: So, right, did you write “Eugene Onegin” too?
He: Yes, this is my composition. I confess that I exist only in literature. I have the first house in St. Petersburg. Please, gentlemen, you will be in Petersburg, I ask everyone to come to me. I also give points.
Lady 1: I think balls are given there with taste and splendor ...
Him: Just don't talk! On the table, for example, a watermelon… a watermelon worth 700 rubles… Soup in a saucepan came from Paris right on the ship… I go to balls every day. There we had our own company: the French envoy, German, English and me! And it is curious to look into my hallway, when I have not yet woken up ... Counts and princes are pushing and buzzing like bumblebees, only zhzhzhzhzhzh is heard. Sometimes the minister: zhzhzhzhzhzhzh. I even write on the packages: "Your Excellency." The State Council itself is afraid of me! I am like that! I tell everyone: “I know myself!” I go to the palace every day! Tomorrow they will make me a field marshal!!!
COMPETITION "COMPLIMENT"
We invite 2 people from the squad.
Your task is to compliment all the ladies present. The winner will be the team that lasts the longest in the competition.
Presenter: I would like to remind you, ladies and gentlemen, that whether there is a holiday in our soul or not depends mainly on ourselves. Do not allow yourself a bad mood - it is indecent.
Master of Ceremonies: Gentlemen, the dance "Cotillion" is announced!
COTILLION
ROMANCE
Master of Ceremonies: Polka dance! Not from Poland, but from the Czech Republic! Please do not confuse! A lovely, cheerful child!
presenter: She doesn't know what a bad mood or cutesy slowness is. And although in Russia Polka was reluctantly admitted to high-society balls, because. it was of folk origin, students, high school students and children danced it with delight! The popularity of the polka was extraordinary: weddings were postponed in order to learn a new dance; physicians treated patients afflicted with "police sickness" - swollen feet and sprained ligaments.
Master of Ceremonies: Polka, gentlemen! Cavaliers invite ladies!
presenter: Ladies and gentlemen, now each of you will receive a note with wishes. It will definitely come true, you just have to believe in it.
Trays with notes are brought in. Each guest takes a note.
WISHES ON A TRAY
Wish texts:
"When choosing a path, do not turn off"
"Look into your soul, ask your heart"
“Believe in yourself, because for someone who believes, nothing is impossible!”
"Don't forget about yourself!"
"Remember, an arrow fired does not return!"
"Find happiness in today!"
“Know that the clouds will dissipate, the peak will appear!”
“Remember, no matter how slowly you move, the main thing is not to stop!”
“Knowing the measure, you will have plenty of everything!”
Today is the best day for you! As the others!
"What awaits you will be wonderful!"
"Happiness is just around the corner, move in the same direction!"
"Your future is great, all in pink color!»
“Happiness will come to you, appreciate the joys of life!”
Master of Ceremonies:
This holiday will keep the memory
Will remain for posterity.
Have a nice time
In fun and acquaintances.
Presenter:
Everyone is happy: both old and young,
Here will be conversations.
A little sorry, the coming ball
Getting ready soon!
Master of Ceremonies: Our ball ends with a gallop dance.
Host: Gallop! By origin - Hungarian. However, all of Europe was fascinated by it!
Master of Ceremonies: Gallop, gentlemen!
GALLOP
Master of Ceremonies: Gentlemen, our ball is over. See you soon!
EMPERORS
Three thrones come onto the stage one after another, on them performers in the images of sovereigns-emperors.
1st: Empress Catherine!
I command the rules about balls, written by me with my own hand, to be strictly observed, namely:
Going to the meeting, leave all the ranks outside the doors, evenly, like hats, and especially swords. Arrogance, too, at the door to leave.
I myself love jokes, and dressing up, and mummers, and fashionable dances.
2nd: Emperor Pavel!
I forbid the use of a dance called waltz at balls! I also forbid the wearing of tailcoats, waistcoats, shoes with ribbons. Police to enforce the decree in the strictest way!
3rd: Emperor Alexander!
French cut dresses are allowed. I command masquerade balls in the Winter Palace for those who wish to make them accessible. Fashionable dances are both possible and necessary.
At the top of the stairs - Ts-r.
C: Masquerade ball, gentlemen! Masks can be bought at the entrance! Let's gallop! Music!
Sovereign-emperors cover their faces with masks on sticks. Thrones go backstage.
GALLOP is being performed. All dancers are wearing masks, costumes (in extreme cases, you can get by with half masks). At the end of the dance - a bow, and everyone freezes. A frozen picture of the ball.
HER MAJESTY'S FASHION FANTASIES
Fantastic music and light.
The cloak and crown of Her Majesty Fashion appear.
And with them after one another
Windy fashions flicker
A varied series…
Look at my magical cloak, gentlemen! It keeps the memory of all my hobbies, fantasies and whims...
The edge of Moda's cloak soars up (it was previously attached to the trouser leg by invisible fishing lines), and the cloak turns into a screen onto which slides are projected. Or a video is shown.
... In the Rococo era, I came up with amazing ladies' hairstyles - whole still lifes of flowers, ribbons, feathers. And even boats with high sails, windmills, bridges and garden architecture adorned women's heads. Poor things! Can you imagine how difficult it was for them to keep it all during the dance?!
When dandies and fashionistas, at my whim, began to powder their hair, they spent 2-3 hours a day on it.
At the ball they wore a dress with a figure-hugging bodice, a large neckline and an unusually wide skirt.
Men's fashion adapted to the whims of women. She made the figure bizarre and even effeminate. The tails of the camisole resembled a skirt with hoops.
Finally, I decided to abolish the camisole and made the men a royal gift - I gave them a tailcoat! The tailcoat, which became the mainstay of men's clothing in the 19th century.
What about dancing? I always amazed the world with dancing! In the 19th century, I have new favorites! Meet!...
The end of the cloak falls down. Full light on the stage.
DANCING. CENTURY 19.
FASHION: The most scandalous and most beloved, of course, waltz! He was born in Austria. Today he is over two hundred years old, but it would never occur to anyone to call Waltz an old man.
From under the cloak of Fashion, a performer appears in the form of a Waltz, then the technique is repeated. Together with the Waltz, Maestro Schlager appears, wearing an elegant black shiny tailcoat. During the performance of M.Sh. constantly changing costumes, transforming, while the Master of Ceremonies and the Dance Master remain unchanged.
M.Sh.: Waltz! Fiery and gentle, he lived a life full of adventures, knew the bitterness of prohibitions and dizzying popularity. Like a stream of fresh air, the Waltz burst into the aristocratic salons with their cutesy, pretentious dances! My God, he was even called obscene!
T: How is it possible: grab a lady by the waist and circle her around the hall!
M.Sh.: And yet he conquered the whole world! They danced the waltz slow and fast, in five steps, waltz minion, two-step Russian waltz, but the most favorite waltz was in three steps. One two Three! One two Three!...
Waltz and M.Sh. are dancing.
FASHION: Quadrille! Fashionista and visionary!
T: The figures of the quadrille danced in pairs vis-a-vis, and the figures were first named after the name of the fashionable songs to which they were performed. Then they began to be called simply - “first figure”, “second”, “third” ...
M.Sh.: It is impossible to imagine a quadrille without his faithful companion - Gallop!
FASHION: Gallop! By origin - Hungarian. However, all of Europe was fascinated by it!
T: In Russia, the sixth began and ended with a gallop - that is, last and foremost! - a figure of a quadrille. In a gallop, all couples were united by order of Ts-ra in various "circles", "stars", "garlands". It was very exciting and lively!
FASHION: Polka! Not from Poland, but from the Czech Republic! Please do not confuse! A lovely, cheerful child!
M.Sh.: She doesn't know what a bad mood or cutesy slowness is. And although in Russia the Polka was reluctantly admitted to high-society balls, students, schoolchildren and children danced it with delight!
FASHION: Mazurka! But the mazurka comes from Poland. Not a single ball could do without her!
M.Sh.: Of course!
FASHION: ... The mazurka rang out. used to
When the mazurka thundered,
Everything in the great hall was trembling,
The parquet cracked under the heel!
MAZURKA is being performed.
After the dance on stage Dancemaster and Master of Ceremonies.
C: Did you hear what a luxurious ball was yesterday at the Nobility Assembly?
T: I never cease to be amazed by this mysterious country. It seemed that recently they learned to bow, not to mention dance, but now they dance in every house. And how they dance! Good! Great dancing!
C: No wonder! As it has been customary since Peter's times, so it is to this day: dance is a compulsory subject in any school, any boarding school, gymnasium.
C: Polka, gentlemen! Cavaliers invite ladies!
Children's dance group performs a cheerful POLKA.
DANCE LESSON AND GOOD MANNERS
C: Girls! Having received invitations to several quadrilles at a time, you must remember your gentlemen so as not to cause displeasure to anyone and not become the heroine of a scandal. In order to avoid such troubles, one should stock up for the ball with small agendas in which the names and lines of dancers fit in.
C. Hands the girl a small book. She accepts it with a bow.
Next couple.
C: Madam! Be so kind as to read, please, the order of quadrilles on your agenda.
The girl reads: The first quadrille is Prince Nikolai Begichev, the second quadrille is Count Tol, the third quadrille is Prince ...
C: Enough, enough, ma'am! Good! I asked you to read it solely for the sake of our lesson. I hope you understand that secular girls will not brag to each other about their agents, for this is proof of bad taste.
It must also be remembered that, having refused one dancer, the girl does not have the right to participate in the same dance with another gentleman: such an act also reveals coquetry of bad taste and can have the most deplorable consequences. More than once we saw a bloody denouement. Let's continue the lesson...
M.Sh. suddenly appears. in a masquerade half-mask and with a huge fan.
M.Sh.: Lovely girls! Listen to an experienced person! In order not to bring the matter to a duel, I advise you to pay attention to the latest invention of Fashion. Here it is - a box with flies. Haven't you learned to read by sight yet?
M.Sh. approaches the girl, opens the box - and she sticks new flies one after another (in accordance with what he says).
... The fashionista sticks new flies in accordance with the circumstances, because the flies make it possible to speak in silence. An asterisk in the middle of the forehead is majestic, on the temple near the eye is passionate, on the nose is impudent, on the upper lip is coquettish, near the right eye is a tyrant, tiny on the chin - “I love, but I don’t see”, on the cheek - consent, under nose - separation ...
The girl covers her face with a fan.
Right! From other people's views, she should cover her face with a fan.
The fly is a secret sign for only one. And the fan? See how I opened it? O! This is also a special language full of secret signs.
Vigorously fanning himself with a fan, M.Sh. is removed.
T: Don't get distracted! What is there?!
C: Girls, remember: too bold and familiar treatment of men will extremely disgrace any girl!
EXPLANATION IN LOVE
Romantic waltz music sounds.
Maestro Schlager appears in a snow-white suit.
The soloist of the musical theater performs an old romance.
One to choose from:
"I met you" - Art. F. Tyutcheva, music editor I. Kozlovsky
"I remember a wonderful moment" - Art. A. Pushkin, music. M. Glinka
"I remember the waltz sound lovely." - Art. and music. N. Listova
Ts.: Waltz, gentlemen! Waltz!
Music sounds in full force. The maestro is spinning in a waltz, stopping in front of the girl, bowing to her. Brings the girl to the center of the stage. The waltz begins. First, one couple dances. Then, one after another, others join them. Performed big, beautiful, romantic
WALTZ. Waltz is a declaration of love.
The shadows of dancing people appear on the back of the stage (the effect of shadow theater is used).
II Branch XX CENTURY
The curtain is closed.
Music sounds in modern rhythms. The curtain is blown in all directions. Maestro Schlager appears from different backstage (he is in a fashionable suitXXcentury) and dance master (he is in his old costume).
The master of ceremonies descends the stairs (he, too, is in his old costume).
Q: How fast time flies! The 20th century is already coming to an end!
T: And everyone around is running, afraid to be late, not to be in time, to fall behind! Get away from life, from fashion, from time!
M.Sh.: And time - it still inexorably runs forward! Time of amazing discoveries and new rhythms, time of new fashion!
C: Meet Her Majesty Fashion!
Sounds like fantastic music. The world is changing.
Fashion's crown and cloak appear.
FASHION: In the 20th century, I made a revolution - I opened women's legs! Yes, I have repeatedly surprised the world with my fantasies before, but the open legs of women - it was a shock! It really was like a revolutionary upheaval!
The woman of the 20th century is a woman-boy. Short skirt and short hair. This woman goes in for sports, masters unfamiliar professions, passionately dances new dances. Meet: here they are!
From under the cloak of Fashion, performers appear, perform several movements and freeze in their own poses in the images of popular dances.
In the 20th century, I brought a whole group of amazing guys to Russia:
- Foxtrot!
- Charleston!
- Boogie Woogie!
- Rock'n'roll!
And cheerful, bright, cheerful Latin American girls:
- English Sheik!
And finally, I have the honor to present a special dance - passionate, defiant, bright. It came to Europe from South America, although its origin is still shrouded in mystery. We know several variants of this amazing dance - Spanish, Gypsy, Creole, Argentinean. Did you guess? Of course this
Tango gentlemen!
Performing TANGO. M.Sh. acts as a partner.
DANCE FLOOR.
On stage T. and C.
Ts .: Yes, the popularity of dances of the 20th century is difficult to exaggerate!
"Twist and Charleston!
You have filled the globe!” the poet wrote.
And this, indeed, was the case.
The whole world "twisted". As if someone called out:
"Dandies of all countries, unite!"
T: And they united! They put on ties of unthinkable colors, tight trousers-pipes, long-toed shoes, black glasses, the girls made a bouffant ... and ?!
Ts .: And “to the dance!”
Of course; to the dance! They were real fans of the dance floor! Perhaps, just like the dance floor, they loved only Elvis Presley and the Beatles. Don't believe me?.. Ask your grandparents - after all, they are the same dudes. They met, fell in love, were jealous, parted on the dance floor.
T. (sings):
... Girls are standing, standing on the sidelines,
Handkerchiefs in the hands of teasing,
Because ten girls
According to statistics, nine guys.
M.Sh. appears at the top of the stairs. in the style of a 60s fashionista.
M.Sh. Hey old man, hey!
Ts.: “O Tempere! Oh more!” (about tempera, about mores) - “Oh times! Oh manners! Yes, the 60s was the most dancing decade of the century.
By the way, young man, are you not mad at us because we remained faithful to our old camisoles, and did not appear before you in the form of disc jockeys in some T-shirts or even bare-chested? You know, I love old things...
M.Sh.: Everything is fine, old man, everything is fine! And about these dances, in which you have to spin all the time, I have my own version. I think the reason for their appearance is the invention of the record. It was the invention of the century! After all, the plate is constantly spinning.
Ts: It could very well be.
M.Sh .: Well, old people, to dance ?!
C. and T. (together): To the dance!
M.Sh. (shouting backstage): Turn on the record! Let's start with the 20s!
At the top of the stairs, a girl appears in the form of a "record". It starts spinning on the top step - and Charleston music sounds. Rotating in the dance, the "plate" goes down - towards M.Sh. He dances in the center of the stage. Approaching, they continue to dance together, as if competing.
After a while, other young people and girls join them.
A dance composition is performed - FANTASY ON THE THEME OF DANCES of the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, melodies of popular songs sound. “The record and Maestro Schlager dance in the center, starting each new dance. The composition ends with a groovy rock and roll.
CARNIVAL
On the stage are the Master of Ceremonies and Master Schlager (he is in a bright Latin American costume).
Ts.: We invite you to the carnival!
To the celebration of life, music and light!
And the holiday lasts from dawn to dawn -
We invite you to the carnival
M.Sh.: “To the carnival!!!” - the drums call us.
Hearts are set for the carnival.
To the carnival, where they are drunk with fun,
And there is no fun where there is no edge, no end.
Ts .: Rumba is danced here both furiously and passionately,
And the streets are all a dance hall.
The moment lasted: after all, you are beautiful!
(together): We invite you to the carnival!!!
A COMPOSITION OF LATIN AMERICAN DANCES is being performed.
FASHION XX CENTURY
Her Majesty Fashion appears on the scene.
Fashion's cloak is raised like a screen.
FASHION: How fast time flies!
Slides or video frames begin to be shown.
FASHION: Trousers for women, padded shoulders, imitation of a man's suit, finally, I released jeans into the arena of life - cheap work pants. And the whole world is dressed in jeans.
My moods are changeable: I can easily and quickly replace “rough style” with romantic folklore or retro fashion… Who knows what I will want tomorrow… or tonight. I, like all women, is windy and fickle. But I can give you one piece of advice. The surest advice: do not imitate anyone, not even me! Look for your individuality!
Music sounds. Images of women from different eras appear on the screen, replacing each other. It is best to arrange slides (video frames) according to the principle of contrast (a romantic beauty in a magnificent dress is replaced by a modern girl with an earring in her nose and a shaved head, etc.). On the last slide there are beautiful smiling young people and girls in modern ballroom dance costumes.
In this episode, it is possible to show extravagant models. Fashion models also appear from under Fashion's cloak.
At the end of the show, the raincoat screen rises. Together with the crown, he will remain above the stage, as if crowning it, until the end of the performance.
THE FINAL.
Young men with candelabra are standing along the stairs.
On stage - Dancemaster, Master of Ceremonies and Maestro Schlager.
C: Lord! In a few minutes, these candles will go out, and our ball will end. It was an extraordinary ball. Ball is a fantasy! Color fantasy, dance fantasy, beauty fantasy!
T .: I have no doubt that today you have received true pleasure. Let me, on your behalf, thank the members of our ballroom dance ensemble - thank you not only for the invitation to this ball, but, first of all, for preserving the high traditions of Russian dance culture.
Music sounds. On the stairs, through the corridor of lights, one by one, groups of people in costumes of different eras descend: 18th, 19th, 20th centuries. Each subsequent group, as it were, displaces the previous one. A wide corridor is formed.
At the climax of the music, Peter appears at the top of the stairs.I. Goes down.
PETER I: Thank you, my young friends! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Not only did they not disgrace my name and my first undertakings, but they increased Russian glory. Keep it up!
C: Lord! Traditionally, we end our ball with a candle dance. Cavaliers invite ladies! And you, dear viewers, do not be surprised at the mixing of times - representatives of different eras will dance it together. After all, our ball was unusual - BALL-FANTASY!
The FAREWELL DANCE begins. This is a procession dance, everyone has lit candles in their hands. The dance is opened by Peter I. The Master of Ceremonies, Dance Master, Maestro Schlager, and children also take part in it. Performers of different ages in costumes of completely different eras should dance in one pair.
During the dance, verses sound:
Centuries passed in moments
But the dance was always
And "pa" as inspiration,
They fly in years.
They circle the world
And people are circling in them.
And Apollo's lyre
Leads to the art garden.
Merged Europe, Asia,
Moscow, Paris, Cairo!
And BAL - fantasy souls
Circling in the arms of the world!
Final fireworks.
1. The performers of the roles of Dancemaster and Maestro Schlager must necessarily be artists who dance brilliantly, most likely members of a ballroom dance group, but according to the script, they also have a large text load. Therefore, it is best to record the entire text in advance on a phonogram (moreover, drama theater artists can do this instead). In general, in this case, almost everything can be pre-recorded on a phonogram, perhaps, except for those places where Peter I comes out “live”.
2. In the image of Fashion, in the most extreme case, just an actress in a raincoat can appear. But, of course, it is better to do as it is written in the script. If the raincoat screen does not work out, you can simply show slides on the screen or use the screen for video projection, but frame it under the “magic mirror”. Modes and living models in costumes framed by a large mirror can appear from under the cloak, but then, of course, good costumes are needed. In my opinion, you should not refuse slides or video frames: a variety of expressive means will make your presentation much more interesting.
